Witnessing the hedgerow witches hand-rearing hedgehogs and healing animals, the children are inspired.
Together, the four friends start a school-wide interest in bee conservation. As the four discover witchcraft and friendship they become a vital part of a unique family.
What a fabulous read…. I bought this book to read with my grandson, but I was so captivated by the first few pages, I read on and kept going, I couldn’t put it down. Witch Queen Bee is a simple and beautiful story of several families and how they come together, the twists are unexpected and at times I felt a variety of emotions, alternately laughing and crying. I will be buying more to put away for Christmas, as this is a fabulous read for any age but in particular it shows children the simplicity of friendships with a special touch of witchcraft which is genius, Lieve and Jimmy grabbed me and held me right the way through the book but Auntie Winnie well…. everyone should have an Auntie Winnie in their lives.
What a fabulous read. I loved every character as they jumped off the page, Jimmy, Lieve, Auntie Winnie and more, hedgerow witches. The author brings everything to life from the injured animals to the fervour of the children as they connect with nature and promote their bee's. Conservation is a nice aspect to the story line. Granny Luc, I loved. I can see her playing with her fortune telling for the fun of it. So, when the unexpected happened, I was totally unprepared for it. Brilliant !! .. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. .
This book was a lovely, uplifting read, great immersive writing. Read in 2 days. Passed on to a younger family member, who also loved the book. Cannot wait for authors next book. Would definitely recommend.
