In the heat of the Bayou, where secrets run deeper than blood and vengeance blooms like wild roses, Draco and Denim return—scarred, stronger, and bound by something bigger than love. Legacy.
But even kings bleed. And queens don’t beg.
Now standing at the edge of destiny, they face enemies cloaked in family, curses buried in bloodlines, and the ghosts they thought they left behind. What was once a love story has become a battleground—for survival, for power, for the soul of an empire.
Old sins rise. Truths unravel. And beneath the surface of their reign… something ancient stirs.
This book will take you through it. There are so many twist and turns that take place. Not at all what I thought was going to happen getting a second book with these characters. So we think its Draco and Denim happy ever after but the curse and bloodlines say something a little different. Truly a test of love and spiritual connections. That voodoo, hoodoo, curses and Bayou feel really comes out in this book. Something’s are redundant and with all the knowledge and powers and forces some things took a little too long for my liking. Overall, this was a great series. I loved every bit of it even the parts that stressed me out. Like what was Ashley holding on so hard knowing it could end bad and we didn't get the reason behind or what was on Coffee to do what she was doing. With all the wisdom why could this not be given and Denim not given signs to know what was ahead. I hate how Ma Duke and Mama Luna drop off like they were not a big part of both books. This book we slow in parts but rushed in others and a big jump takes place and I needed more. If their is going to be a third part then I'm here for it.
Not entirely sure what I want to say about this book. I wasn’t expecting the storyline we go revisiting Denim and Draco. They went through a lot in the first book, but I think I would have liked it better without the Ashlee obstacle. The story didn’t always flow like it should have. There were parts where I was confused and something’s didn’t make sense. I did like the supernatural/spiritual aspect and that throughout everything Denim stayed steadfast and kept pushing for both herself and Draco. I think for the length of the book, resolution could have been achieved 1/3 of the way through. Oh well, happy reading y’all!💋
No matter what happened was meant to be will be. The twist and turns the battles they face Draco and denim came through. There were times I questioned if it was meant to be by all in all they were meant to be the rituals that were done the people who wanted them apart at the end God‘s plan was for them to be together.
