One of the main things I like about this book is how it is backed up by scientific data. And in every recipe, there are detailed instructions on the ingredients as well as the quantity required per serving. These details drastically improved the quality of the book. I also like how budget-friendly the meals are, as well as the wide variety of recipes. Finally, I like the author's relatable tone, and I appreciate the fact that I could relate to her story.
Finally, the book is well written and easy to understand. I like that it is power-packed with knowledge that is easily accessible. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars, and I recommend it to people who are currently struggling with weight issues.
This book is exactly what I've been looking for! Like the author, who's dealt with many obstacles with medical issues and the dieting culture, I've been trying to find something that works in my life. I'm constantly trying to find good recipes that are diabetic friendly, that are great for on-the-go and are quick, tasty and cheap. It seems most cookbooks just give you the main dish without the sides, leaving you trying to prepare the right side with the main to stay where you want. This book is full meals. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and sweets.
I like how each recipe has the Servings, Prep and Cook Time, Cost per serving and nutrition per serving. Yes, I did the math to validate a couple of them and it was spot on! The tips with each recipe is also a great way to just change it up a little bit.
The QR codes were a little weird. I mean if the guides and cheat sheets are free, why don't you just add them to the back of the book? That lost a star rating but then when I realized I'd actually eat or try 90% of these recipes in lieu of the 10% I'd normally try in a normal cookbook, the star was earned back.
The meal plan and 7 day grocery list is also a great addition to this book. I can't wait to try these and simplify my grocery list and cooking. I do not like cooking so the fact that all of these have reasonable prep and cook times, I'm in!

The author leaned into high-protein while feeding a family of 10, I figure I can do it for 1. Starting first thing in the morning, the recipes look simple and delicious. You get two per page, each with its own pic, serving size, cook and prep time and macros, from a Sausage & Egg Wafflewich to Savory Turkey Egg Cups.
Low-carb lunches are simple and quick, from Turkey Cucumber Crunch Wraps to Zesty Tuna Avocado Boats. There are sheet pan dinners and skillet meals you can meal prep in advance, and air fryer dishes like Parmesan-Crusted Chicken Crunchers and Buffalo Turkey Meatballs.
There’s a 30-day meal plan and 7-da7 shopping list to help keep organized you can grab with a code in the back. All in all a handy and delicious volume that makes sense in the New Year and beyond.

I was pleasantly surprised by this cookbook. It is chock-full of delicious, nutrient, dense dishes that are rich in proteins and flavor. I was happy to see that they are naturally low carb. If you’re looking for ways to increase your protein, consumption look no further. The recipes in here are creative, easy to make, and will leave you satisfied. The full color pictures are scrumptious too!
You will definitely want to get the print version, as the e-book version is difficult to read for us older folks (although this format is necessary to keep components of the recipe together).

What I loved about this cookbook was that a variety of recipes for a variety of meals and cooking methods (if you have an air fryer this cookbook has you covered!) are provided, allowing you to find the meal (breakfast vs dinner), cooking method, and ingredients that suit you best.

Really good cookbook for those on a budget who want to eat well. I have tried some of the recipes and been impressed. There is a great variety and well explained method. I loved the pictures which were truly representative. A great gift idea as well.
