A black cat witch. A golden retriever wolf shifter. One fated match she’s determined to hex out of existence. Bellamy Grimsbane isn’t looking for love—or connections. She’s perfectly content hexing the locals, dabbling in dark magic, and hanging out with her snarky familiar, Nyx. But apparently, fate has terrible hearing.
When a golden‑retriever wolf shifter rolls into Pumpkinridge wearing a shirt that says I’m new here—and smelling exactly like her sister warned her about—Bellamy does what any self‑respecting black cat witch would hexes, pranks, and just enough chaos to make him rethink his life choices.
Welcome to Pumpkinridge, Vermont—a quaint little town where the coffee is strong, the gossip is stronger, and the local ghost considers herself a professional matchmaker. Here, curses are served with cream, love spells have side effects, and fate always finds a way… even if it has to trip you into it.

Author of cozy shifter romance with a spicy bite, I love crafting worlds where quirky town names are just the beginning. Get ready to meet meddling grandmothers who know best, and wolves with hearts of gold (and a little bit of sass). I've been lost in stories since I first learned to read, always dreaming up new tales until one finally refused to be ignored!
I received this ARC from the author and loved every minute of it! It is such a cute paranormal romance with a golden retriever MMC and a black cat FMC. Throw in the raccoon and all the other little familiars and call it a party! One that I want to be invited too! I just loved every little aspect of this story. I laughed and definitely had to hold back the tears at one point, not gonna lie. This is just in time for halloween! 👻🎃
Welcome to Pumpkinridge, a small town like no other. This magical town has a hex happy witch, a new to town wolf shifter, meddling ghosts, mischievous familiars and spells/wishes that don’t go exactly as planned.
Small magical filled town is the setting for this super cute, cozy paranormal romance. Fated mates, familiars and a fun overall read. I love good banter, black cat/golden retriever vibes and the entirety of Pumpkinridge - come on mail squirrels and gossiping crows!!
Absolutely a perfect cozy Halloween read that has you rooting for the main characters. I can’t wait for more of this charming town and the unique characters that live there.
Thank you to the author, Liza Bee, Moonlight Publishing and Happily Booked PR for the opportunity to read this book. I received an epub and am leaving my review voluntarily.
What an excellent cozy paranormal romcom. I loved Bellamy and Miles, he was the happy golden retriever to her grumpy cat personality. She never had anyone in her corner being a dark witch, except her twin sister. Miles does all he can to prove that he will always be there for her, even through her family curse. Their banter was so much fun. I loved all the side characters, especially the animals. I cannot wait for Elora's book.
This was adorable! So cute and the perfect spooky season vibes. If you love cozy witchy books then please read this. I loved the black cat/golden retriever dynamic, also the ending has me wanting to read book 2. I definitely recommend.
Charmed, I’m Sure by @authorlizabee is the first book in the Pumpkinridge Series.
This cozy, fun, and paranormal romcom is a delightful read that keeps you cheering for all the main characters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and learning about the charming small town of Pumpkinridge. The female protagonist, Bellamy, is a black cat witch who performs hexes, pranks, and causes just enough chaos to make the golden retriever male protagonist, Miles, reconsider his life choices. Miles is a werewolf who ends up with a toad familiar. Add to this a pet raccoon, the presence of gossiping crows and a matchmaking ghost with a dismal track record, and you have a recipe for a whirlwind of unexpected events!

Thank you @happilybookedpr and Liza Bee for the opportunity to read this. All reviews and thoughts are my own. I am excited to see what happens next.
⭐️3.5. I absolutely love the concept of this book. You really can't go wrong with witches and werewolves. Add in a fox and toad familiar, and a pet racoon? yes please! Now, in saying that, I think that it needed a little more editing. There were some continuity errors, things that didn't quite make sense, but could have made sense with better wording or imagery. I wanted more from Miles, other than a golden retriever puppy vibe. There's nothing wrong with that vibe, I just wanted a little more depth. I also felt that the major drama of the book was a little too early. I liked how the night of Samhain played out, but I wanted more development before that happened. Honestly thought, it was a cute read! the major cliffhanger of an ending definitely brings me to want to read the next one next year. I received an ARC copy of this through Happily Booked, thanks again!!
Charmed, I’m Sure is an absolute autumn delight! From the moment golden retriever wolf shifter Miles strolls into Pumpkinridge, the tension between him and grumpy black-cat witch Bellamy had me completely hooked. Their dynamic is full of banter, chemistry, and just the right amount of magical chaos.
And the setting? Pure Halloween magic. Pumpkinridge oozes cozy fall vibes, with strong coffee, stronger gossip, and a supernatural twist of Fate that made the town feel like a character of its own.
If you’re into cozy paranormal rom-coms, fated mates, meddling ghosts, and slow-burn enemies-to-lovers tension, this one’s for you. A charming, funny, and festive read perfect for spooky season!
I really wanted to love this book, the premise of “10 things I hate about you” mixed with “practical magic” two of my all time top 10 movies had my attention immediately but for me this one just didn’t hit the mark the way I wanted it to. I found myself cringing or rolling my eyes way too many times for my liking. The text felt pretty clunky in a lot of places as well as repetitive. I felt because this was an ARC read that I really needed to especially give it that extra try and push through it but just knowing I had to take breaks because I wasn’t really enjoying it enough to keep reading says a lot to me. I did love the familiars, not as much Nyx but I was obsessed with Lady Bandit and Hops was just cute I wish they were both involved in the story more. It just didn’t feel as cohesive as it could have been. It was like a bunch of things happened but also nothing happened at the same time
3.5 Stars Thank you to Liza and Happily Booked for a copy of this sweet read! I had a fun time. Miles and Bellamy were cute characters. I had fun learning about them. The story was intriguing as well. I recommend this to Halloween lovers and romance lovers.
The only thing I wasn’t too sure about was the writing style.
-Monster town -Witch x Werewolf -Grumpy FMC and Sunshine MMC -Fated mates -Familiars
Oh lord, I don’t even know where to start other than that Liza Bee has done it once again! Another masterpiece in the books! This book truly knocked itself out of the park and the crowd goes wild for another supernatural romance novel! I didn't read a lot of supernatural romance novels except for Twilight until I was lucky enough to read Warwick by Liza Bee. I fell in love with her writing style and the fictional world of fated mates and werewolves. Since then, I have been such a huge fan of her work and I was lucky enough again to be an arc reader for Caeleon. When I finished reading that book, I had a feeling I knew who the next couple was going to be in the series and I was not disappointed at all!
And this time around, we get to meet witches and fae and this beautifully hidden gem of a town titled Pumpkinridge. Stepping into this new town, just like Nate did, felt a bit overwhelming but just right! I loved everything that this town has to offer and I wish it was real. Nate ends up at Pumpkinridge due to a calling that his mate was in this small town. After searching for her, he finally found this town that has been hidden from the world and very few people know about it. Thanks to his previous Alpha Silas, from the Rocky Mountain pack, he was able to get permission from his new Alpha, Adren and enter this town. He is then welcomed into town by a witch that has black hair and already hexed him. And in that moment, he just knew that that was his mate.
Bellamy is known to the town of Pumpkinridge as the dark twin, and the townspeople fear her. Her twin sister, Elora, is known as the light witch, who gets visions of everyone in the town and can tell when important/major events are going to happen. Growing up, everyone knew the tale of the twin witches in the Grimsbane bloodline. Every seventh generation has a set of twins born, one born to be the light and live a long life. The other twin, dark, and cursed to die an untimely death. This is all Bellamy has ever known in her life and she accepted her fate. Not once did she want to find love or find her happily ever after. Until a certain tall, blond man with golden retriever energy walks into her town.
And the rest is history! I truly loved this book so freaking much! I don’t want to spoil so much of it because it truly is a masterpiece! This book is the epitome of black cat and golden retriever type of couple. It’s about two people who are complete opposites and just want to find their place in the world. Nate has never felt like he had a place in Jasper and coming to Pumpkinridge just felt like a calling. And when he first laid eyes on Bellamy, it was love at first sight. The bond that a mate feels when they know they are there is so intense and powerful between these two 🤭 I highly recommend everyone to read this amazing book that is full of banter, cute familiars (even a raccoon can be one!) and enjoy this magical ride that Liza Bee has created ❤️
Set in a small, magic filled town brimming with witches, vampires, werewolves, and all kinds of supernatural beings, this story feels like stepping into a whimsical, mysterious world where every corner holds a secret.
Our heroine, Bellamy, is a witch with a mischievous streak, feared by most, fiercely independent, and perfectly content with her solitude and her fox familiar, Nyx. She hexes, pranks, and keeps everyone at arm’s length… until Miles, a sweet and stubborn werewolf, arrives in town. Drawn there by fate, Miles immediately recognizes Bellamy as his fated mate.
What follows is a delightful dance of stubborn hearts: Miles, the sunshine-hearted “golden retriever” type, showers Bellamy with attention (and her favorite coffee), while she does everything in her power, from ignoring him to hexing him, to push him away. But the more she resists, the more determined he becomes. Slowly, without even realizing it, Bellamy’s heart starts to soften.
What makes this story shine isn’t just the magic or the fated-mates trope, it’s why Bellamy fights her feelings and how that reason unfolds. The emotional reveal adds depth and makes the ending all the more satisfying and heartwarming. A mix of humor, magic, slow-burn romance, and emotional depth, this story is perfect for readers who love small-town fantasy with a dash of sass and a lot of heart..
Grumpy witch Bellamy Grimsbane is appalled: the golden-retriever wolf shifter who just arrived is her fated mate! She's having absolutely none of it. Expect hexes, chaos, and a brilliant time in this hilarious, cosy rom-com.
“Welcome to pumpkinridge little witch, do mind your step”
"If this is fate's leash, then go ahead and buckle the collar around my throat because I'll do anything to hear her call me a good boy."
“Why does he smell like fate”
Bellamy is a witch and Miles is a wolf shifter
Bellamy is in denial and Miles is like a puppy with a new toy so adorable. Miles, the sunshine/ "golden retriever" type, showers Bellamy with attention (her favorite coffee etc, and she does everything in her power, ignoring him, hexing him, to push him away. But the more she resists, the more determined he becomes. Slowly, he starts to win her over. without her even realizing it, Bellamy's heart starts to sotten. She starts off as a Dark witch treated like an outcast....never really knew what it was like when someone showed up for her. Never really knowing what it’s like when someone was in ber corner, But she finds her power and finds herself a community. Miles was the perfect golden retriever wolf* shifter-he really put in the work for our girl. He showed up when no one else did. Miles has been searching for something himself-and he found it in Pumpkinridge. I love the town, the community all the misfit characters this was such a cute but amazing read!
I love this story line everything flowed nicely and such a cute story! And that ending! I need the next book please! Oh and I loved the chapter titles 😍 Such a great read!! 🎃🍁🐺
Welcome to Pumpkinridge, a town like no other, where werewolves, gossiping crows, meddling ghosts and witches live together in somewhat harmony. Things don't always go as planned, enjoy your magical stay. ✨🪄
I received this book as an ARC from the incredible author! I enjoyed every minute of this cozy, small town, paranormal romantic-comedy full of fated mates and matchmaking ghosts. 👻 This is a book like no other full of fun banter and a grumpy FMC and golden retriever MMC.
We have Bellamy, our dark witchy twin, and Miles our new werewolf in town destined to find his fated mate. The dark twin, Bellamy never had anyone in her corner, then in enters Miles, a bubbly, happy all the time werewolf Miles. He's sticking by her and never leaving her side even when she 'shoos' him off. When things start going awry, Bellamy and Miles must come together with the whole town of Pumpkinridge and solve their problem, but not without the gossiping crows of course. 🤭🐦⬛
Thank you Liza Bee for the ARC! I can't wait for more! ✨

4.5⭐️
omg i love pumpkinridge! it is so cozy and the perfect small town for fall lovers
miles and bellamy are so cute together and they have a lot of banter. bellamy does everything she can to ignore miles and even hexing him while being in denial that they are mates. and miles being the golden retriever man that he is doesnt let that stop him, he was always on her side no matter what. it gives you a few laughs but also feels touching because he doesn't give up or treat her like an outcast for being a dark witch like the rest of the town does.
i truly don't have a bad thing to say about this book and i definitely recommend reading it. charmed, i'm sure does a great job with keeping you hooked/glued to the pages. it is the perfect cozy paranormal read for fall and i know for a fact that i will be rereading it again next year for fall and whenever i feel like a cozy witch x shifter read (which is quite often 😅).
thank you so much liza bee and happily booked pr for giving me the opportunity to read this book! i'm so glad that it's out in the world now 🫶🏼🫶🏼
If you’re looking for your next black cat FMC x golden retriever MMC, you should check this book out! It is filled with small town vibes, lots of fall whimsy, and of course magical creatures ranging from witches, to vampires, to werewolf’s, to even some meddling ghosts. This cozy romance gave me lots of warm fuzzies and shows that sometimes it takes the right kind of guy to thaw a dark witches frozen heart and maybe a bit of meddling by her sister and some fate! The story flowed well and followed the first few weeks of a budding relationship between the FMC witch and the new to town werewolf that have been set up to help plan the towns fall scavenger hunt. I enjoyed the banter and how the hexes she put on him he took in stride. The gossiping crows and all the animal side kicks including a fox familiar helped give this story even more cozy vibes. There was some excitement near the end and lots of quips from the FMC that had me laughing. Overall I enjoyed this quick, cozy read, my rating 4.4/5!
Thanks to the author and R&R book tours for the gifted copy, all opinions given are my own!
Such a fun read! These characters were so great. Miles was endlessly optimistic and I loved the way he just rolled with every single thing Bellamy said or did to him. The side characters in this were so great, the gossiping crows were hysterical and Matilda the matchmaking ghost was the best kind of disaster. Elora was really sweet and kind of complex dealing with her powers and her knowledge all the time. Bellamy was so sarcastic and snarky and it was so hilarious whenever she would interact with Miles. I really felt for her throughout the book because of the way all of the town’s occupants treated her even though she never did anything €vil even though she’s the “dark witch twin,” she didn’t deserve that. I really liked how powerful the events on Samhain were and how it changed basically the threads of Fate. All the tie-ins with past generations were really interesting and I loved how everything came full circle. The animal companions were amazing and I can’t wait to see more of them in the future. The cliffhanger ending though… *shakes f¡st at sky* no but really I can’t wait for the next book, Elora’s story is gonna be amazing.
Charmed, I’m Sure was the perfect book to close out October!
This was a cute Halloween read! Liza did a great job with the character development in this book. I love Miles and how he didn’t give up on winning over Bellamy! I loved reading about the journey and obstacles Miles faced while trying to win Bellamy over. I loved Bellamy’s black cat energy and grumpiness and Miles’s Golden Retriever energy and how he rolled with the flow. Miles is a great MMC to always have in your corner. He genuinely cares about Bellamy and is always rooting for her and in her corner. I loved the fated mate trope in this book! Pumpkinridge has a true Halloweentown vibe to it with witches, werewolves, ghosts, vampires, and fairies. I enjoyed the paranormal romcom vibe too! I loved the twists and turns of this book and joining Bellamy along for the ride as she finds away to end the generational curse.
If you love a good paranormal romcom, Halloween, fated mates, witches, and werewolves you’ll love this book!
Since spooky season is over, I get to review a Halloween book that I read that was one of the best reads ever. To be quite honest I had a different expectation when I signed up for the book but I wasn’t disappointed at alll. I actually loved it.
This book had so much imagery that you can’t help but enjoy the way the settings were painted among the book. It helped visualize this Halloween Town like town that I honestly wish existed. The main characters in this book are Bellamy and Miles. They are honestly the embodiment of opposite attraction. Bellamy is a black cat while Miles is like a golden retriever. I loveddd watching Miles break down Bellamy’s walls and squeeze his way in to her heart. I loved how they each had their way of showing their love and how they liked each other without outright saying it. It was written so perfectly that I could pick up on any subtle ways Bellamy or Miles shared a moment or their love.
I loved the magical elements that followed within the story with the creatures and the witches. It was perfect for Halloween time and I loved all of it especially the crows.
This is a cute, fun read for those who are looking for something on the cute side of spooky!
Tropes: 🎃 Wolf Shifter x Witch 🎃 Black Cat x Golden Retriever 🎃 Fated Mates 🎃 Forced Proximity 🎃 Small Paranormal Town 🎃 Practical Magic meets 10 Things I Hate About You
Bellamy is the definition of black cat. She is a dark witch, she hexes people, had a black fox familiar, and loves that everyone is afraid of her. Or so she makes people think. She wants to keep everyone at arms’ length because of a curse on her family. Until the biggest golden retriever of a wolf shifter, Miles, comes into town wanting everything to do with her. No hex gone wrong can keep him away from trying to win her over.
Miles is the sweetest thing on this planet, oh my goodness. I wanted to wrap that sweet boy up and keep him for myself. The mystery behind Bellamy’s family was really interesting to uncover, and I really liked how that opened up the chance for Bellamy to start letting Miles in. I loved the chaos with all the different animals (and how they can talk if they choose to). It’s a very cozy read, and I look forward to the next book!
Thank you, Liza and RR Book Tour, for sending me a copy of this book!
Charmed, I’m Sure by Liza Bee is a cozy supernatural romance set in a quirky magical town brimming with charm and secrets. The story follows a dark witch fated to a wolf shifter—a pairing complicated by a powerful curse determined to keep them apart. While the writing could benefit from a bit more polish, the plot itself is creative and engaging, blending cozy small-town magic with emotional tension and supernatural intrigue. The dual focus on romance and community gives the story warmth, and the town itself almost feels like a character, full of eccentric residents and endearing quirks. The relationship between the witch and the shifter is sweet, humorous, and occasionally dramatic, creating an enjoyable tension that carries through the story.Though the pacing can be uneven in places, the overall concept is refreshingly original and fun. This is a light, charming read for anyone who enjoys magical romance, small-town vibes, and a touch of fate-driven fantasy. Three stars for originality, heart, and a delightful setting that makes you wish the town truly existed.
So cute! A great cozy spooky season read. Is fairly short so if you need a quick read to help reach your reading goal, this is it!
Bellamy is sarcastic, standoffish and gives Wednesday vibes but with less malice. She really is a sweet person under it all but everyone has shunned her so she’s made it part of her personality.
Miles is the epitome of a golden retriever. He is kind, loyal, protective, eager to please and will do anything for his mate. He just wants a love like his parents have. He knows his mate is out there, he just has to find her. Milo his wolf has some funny barbs for him 😜
Miles attempt at wooing Bellamy had me giggling and kicking my feet. He tries so hard. But Bellamy is determined to NOT shackle herself to some rando that moved into town. Her attempts to hex him just make him want her more.
I loved that they start to grow and learn together. They are now a team and will face everything together moving forward.
The animal sidekicks, Nyx, Sir Hops A Lot and Lady Bandit are funny and adorable.
“Not going to lie here, even though I have the urge to wrap her in a hug… I’m worried I might turn into a frog if I do.”
Oh my! Halloween goodness! These two are wonderful!
Miles is just utter perfection. He is a literal puppy, everything he does is sunshine and rainbows. You can feel through the pages how happy he is around Bellamy. He is Just the literal definition of cute puppy dog. I love the way he reacts everytime Bellamy hexes him, he just thinks that’s her way of flirting and he actually ends up enjoying everything she does to him. Even when it’s his hair 🤦🏼♀️
Bellamy is definitely a black cat character, as well as a bit mean but I love how she blossoms throughout the book and you get to see why she was so shut off to begin with. I love how her story grows and how she falls in love with Miles. How she tries to stop herself from falling and how she tries to not laugh or smile at him is just beyond cute.
“Chase her. Tackle her. Bring her a stick.”
The familiars! I love how their little pet army grows. Nyx is so snarky it’s brilliant and I love his little relationship with Lady Bandit the racoon once she comes a long ( how and why Miles gets her is just adorable and funny) and then there’s Hops the judgemental toad, who’s honestly just to funny.
I didn’t think there was going to be any spice, slow burn all the way, but when it hits it’s so good. The good boy and puppy? 🥵Perfection!
I’m truly excited to see what comes next in this series, there’s so many interesting side characters including Bellamys sister that I’m in need for more. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
“But no. I’m stuck here watching the most adorable wolf shove fork fulls of pie into his mouth like world’s happiest idiot.”
ARC Review Charmed, I’m Sure by Liza Bee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you’re looking for a fun, paranormal rom com just in time for Halloween, look no further! This small town romance is jam packed with charm, wit and humor that is second to none. This is the story of Bellamy, a dark witch, who is the only one of her kind, in a town filled with light witches, vamps, fae, werewolves and interfering ghosts. Entered stage left, Miles, the new guy in town, who happens to be a werewolf shifter with a serious golden retriever personality. From the minute Miles first spots Bellamy, he knows she must be his. The only problem is Bellamy wants nothing to do with him. This book is filled with humor, heart, wit, gossiping crows and matchmaking ghosts. This book was a true delight to read, and I am very thankful to Happily Booked PR and Liza Bee for my advanced copy of this charming tale. This book will be released on October 28th and I can’t recommend it highly enough!
Not gonna lie, it took me a hot minute to really get into Charmed, I’m Sure but once I hit around 40% I was completely hooked. Pumpkinridge is the kind of quirky little town that basically charmed my socks off and now forever has a place in my heart. I’d 100 percent move there. Bellamy is a total mood and a girl after my own heart. Reverse grumpy sunshine? I am actually weirdly obsessed. Miles nicknaming Bellamy ‘Trouble’ had me grinning like an idiot. And don’t even get me started on Sir Hops a Lot the toad and Lady Bandit the trash panda, absolute icons. The cozy drinks, the chaos, the charm, it’s pure Halloween magic in book form.

Welcome to Pumpkinridge — a small town brimming with witches, ghosts, and gossiping crows.
This story follows Bellamy, our FMC, a total black cat and certified grump with a proclivity for hexes, a deep love of coffee, and her loyal fox familiar, Nyx. Everything in her world runs smoothly until her light-witch twin sister, Elora — who can literally see fate — decides Bellamy and the new town resident, Miles (a wolf shifter), need to spend more time together.
Miles is the ultimate green flag and golden retriever of a MMC. No matter what Bellamy throws at him, he never wavers — and honestly, he’s a total catch.
The story itself was a fun, cozy read filled with charm, challenges, and a delightful cast of characters. Pumpkinridge had such a warm, small-town vibe that made it easy to sink into. This was my first “fated mates” story, and while I wasn’t completely sold on the dynamic between Bellamy and Miles at first, the ending and the parallels really redeemed it for me.
I read this as an ARC and am so grateful for the opportunity — it made for the perfect spooky season read! 🎃✨
I had the honor to beta read this amazing and cozy and full of fall and Halloween vibes book and let me tell you, this is a book you’ll want to read over and over! The first of it will knock your socks off!
Bellamy and Miles, she’s a black cat witch and he’s a werewolf shifter with a wolf counterpart who cracks me up. Miles knows they are mates right away but he decides to not push Bells into that and watching their relationship bloom and watching Bellamy thaw her frozen little heart for her dog boy, was the best thing ever.
Liza has a way with words that leaves me lacking ways to explain just how beautiful her writing is. She pulls you into these little worlds she has created and she leaves you satisfied while still wanting more. She has the ability to make it feel as if you’re right there in the pages with the characters.
Trust me when I say, this is one book you’ll want to read!
I absolutely loved this! The humour in this book had me giggling from start to finish. Even the chapter titles were hilarious! The banter between Bellamy and Miles was pure perfection 🤣
Miles has total golden retriever energy; persistent, charming, and just so cute. While Bellamy gives off major grumpy witch vibes, but they worked so well together. Typical opposites attract 🥰 And Matilda, the meddling ghost? Absolutely hilarious! She totally reminded me of the TV show Ghosts 🤣
The way the curse had to be broken didn’t just shatter the spell, it shattered me 😭 It does end on a cliffhanger (which I’m still recovering from), but I can’t wait for Elora’s story next!
“He's looking at me as though I am the one he's always wanted.”
“Keep your paws to yourself, Dog Boy.”
“Bellamy doesn’t need someone to save her. Just someone to weather the storm with her.”
Thank you, happily booked pr and Liza Bee, for the opportunity to read this book.
I finished this book in a couple of days. I love Liza’s books and the way she creates her world and characters. The books are such a joy to read, and I fell in love with the characters of Bellamy and Miles. Their relationship starts off rocky, and eventually, Miles wins Bellamy over after many hexes and many attempts at trying to woo her. There are some really fun parts in this book, and I love the side characters of the pets and familiars. I look forward to reading the next book. Thank you for letting me be part of the arc team.
