A thief, an ancient underground palace and a perfectly planned heist. What could possibly go wrong?
When Briar Thorne is offered a job to steal an artifact from the vicious and elusive dark elf king, she can't refuse. Her father's life depends on it. As a notorious thief, she is used to courting danger and walking away with a smile. But nothing could have prepared her for what she found hidden beneath miles of earth and stone, bound by curses and wards.
Briar discovers a man condemned to a cursed burial and, with one reckless act, frees him. Little does she know she has unleashed something that should never have been touched. For within the man lies a beast.
A beast that awakens hungry... and not just for blood. When it marks her, everything changes.
Bound by magic and desires she's not ready to address, Briar is drawn into the heart of a kingdom rotting from within and a curse that twists more than just flesh.
A Beast and Its Thorns is a Beauty and the Beast retelling with dark and sexual themes. It has elements of monster romances and will have the beauty slightly more involved with the beast's more... beastly side. This is a standalone story that will end with a HEA.
This was a quick read that had you enthralled in the characters from the start. Briar is a fierce thief who knows how to hold her own. Her big job takes a massive twist that puts her in unexpected places. If you’re looking for a fast paced monster romance with excellent storyline and plot…. This is it.
The story line of this book was great. I loved the plot and characters. I do feel like it was so short. The timeline happened so quickly. I would’ve loved for this story to be a little more drawn out. This would’ve given us more character development. Briar’s character is great. But we don’t get too much development from Riven or even Keelan. And the bond that happens is so fast. It would’ve been great to have more development there. Overall, amazing story with wonderful plot twists and a phenomenal ending.

An intense dark romance, Riv and Briar are an amazing pairing. This is not for people who prefer a soft romance, it is hot and heavy and has some scenes that can be uncomfortable for some people.
