One night. One invitation. One chance to reclaim what’s been lost.

After years of pretending half of me doesn’t exist, hiding is no longer an option. Not because I’m ready, but when I walk into the All Hallows’ Eve ball, I have no choice in facing my past.

I only went to prove a point. What I didn’t expect was him.

Talon is intense, dangerously attractive, and absolutely convinced we’re fated mates. There’s just one problem… I feel nothing.

Years ago, I bound my wolf to survive. A mistake that may have cost me everything, including the one connection I thought I might never find.

But as buried truths rise and forgotten pieces of myself claw their way back, I realize there’s only one path forward.

To claim my future, and the mate who refuses to give up on me, I’ll have to face what broke me, fight for what I buried, and risk the one thing I’ve always protected—my heart.

** Make Me is a spicy standalone romantasy set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues Universe. Every book is a guaranteed happily ever after with a satisfying ending and no cliffhangers. Perfect for fans of Immortals After Dark, Black Dagger Brotherhood, and the Demonica series.**

Short!

A novella for sure but it wasn’t rushed, insta love but what do you expect for fate? I would’ve wanted more, or for things to turn dark and have the original witch find out….. but a cute quick love story.

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Heather Renee!

Make Me is the first standalone book in the fourth season of  Immortal Vices and Virtues: All Hallows' Eve,  and tells the story of Kasha and Talon.

I'm so excited that there's another season in the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe, but also so sad that this will be the last season. I've enjoyed reading all the previous seasons, so it's going to be really hard saying goodbye to this amazing book universe. For those who are not familiar with the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe, this universe consists of four seasons, and each season has several Romantasy standalone books written by different authors/author duos. Each book ends with a happy ending, and some books have characters that have been introduced in a previous book. Which I think is really nice because you get to read about previous characters again.

Make Me is the first book in the new Immortal Vices and Virtues season called All Hallows' Eve. First I want to talk about the cover, this type of cover is by far my favourite type. The previous seasons all had the couples on the cover, but I'm not the biggest fan of people on covers. When I look at the covers for this season, I really like the different colours and small details. But something more important than the cover: the story. Make Me tells the story of Kasha, a half fae/half wolf shifter, and Talon, a wolf shifter. If you've read the previous seasons, Kasha's been mentioned in Cage Me (third season). Make Me is on the shorter side (if you compare this book to the previous books in the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe) so there's not a lot of character development, this book is more focused on two people falling in love. But I didn't mind at all. This book is the perfect book if you're looking for a quick, fast-paced Romantasy.

Make Me is a great start for the fourth season of the Immortal Vices and Virtues books. It was nice to read about previous characters from Cage Me (third season), and I liked getting to know Kasha more and finding out who's her fated mate. I'm really excited to read the other books in the All Hallows' Eve season because I just know they won't disappoint! I highly recommend Make Me if you're looking for a short read about fated mates.

And we are back for the fourth (and apparently final) series of Immortal Vices and Virtues.

I’m gutted that this series is coming to a close but I am champing at the bit to get these books read!

This season is subtitled “All Hallow’s Eve” and it sings to the spooky autumness this is quickly approaching!

The “ber” months are the best months IMHO!

Can we just start with the cover art! I mean - it’s stunning. The wolf, the arch the moon I just love it and I have been jonesing for a good wolf shifter/fated mates read. Nothing seems to have hit the spot - I’m quietly confident that this one will!

Okay let’s dive in…

Oooosh - that was a quick read, like BOOM done!

I’d forgotten how much I love Crossroads and the characters within the IVV multiverse.

I was extremely pleased with the outcome and I loved our main characters- nice to see some cameos from our favs in past books.

Thats what I love about this universe it all ties back in together.

I’m taking a stab in the dark that all our stories will start at that fateful all hallows eve party and I cannot wait.

The only grumble I have is that it wasn’t longer 😂

Yes! We're back in a world we know and love, one we've been in for years now.
This, however, is the final series, and it's a bittersweet feeling.

The first in the All Hallows' Eve series is Make Me by Heather Renee.

Feeling aimless, Kasha's unsure what to do with her life, until she gets an invitation to a ball (yes, an honest-to-God ball... with club vibes :D) and where she meets Talon, our lovely wolf.

What follows is a short and sweet story where Kasha will fight for what she wants in her life, with Talen not standing by her side.

I really enjoyed it, not only because of familiar faces, but also because it was nice being back in the Crossroads.
Kasha and Talen were a great fit, and I was rooting for her from start to finish.

The writing was good, with nothing rushed, allowing the story to unfold naturally.

I hope we meet the other couples from the following books at the ball, and that we learn a bit more about our matchmaking hostess.

Paranormal Romance Novella with a Halloween Twist - Just the Right Warmth & Spice

Make Me opens a new season of Immortal Vices & Virtues, a multi-author universe of interconnected standalones. This final season marks a shift from full-length books to novellas. After three seasons of world-building and new characters, this new installment wraps up loose ends for some favorite characters in the IV&V world. Just in time for All Hallows' Eve, we’re treated to a fun, fall-flavored novella.

While it helps to have read the previous seasons, it’s not necessary to enjoy the basics of the story. For those who have been reading this genre long enough, the novella was reminiscent of those I used to read in the Monster Ball anthologies, and I’m here for it!

Heather Renee delivers a well-paced, short and sweet tale with just the right touch of salt and spice.

At a glance:

🐺Length: Novella
🗡️Genre: Paranormal Romance – shifters, fae, witches, etc.
🖤POV: First person, dual POV (male & female lead)
🌕Age: Adult
🐺Warnings: History of self-hate; mate bite; near death experience; one scene of violence – not graphic; language; open door loving, but not descriptive
🗡️Spice: 2/5 – it’s on page
🖤Violence: There is a little blood required for the magic
🌕Editing: Nothing of note – well done!
🐺World: Post-supernatural-apocalypse Earth
🗡️Series: Immortal Vices and Virtues: All Hallows’ Eve (Season 4)
🖤Tropes: Fated mates; Healing From the Past; Fake Dating; Ride-or-Die Bestie
🌕Ending: This is a standalone, novella - quick, fun, and wholly satisfying

🎃Recommendation: If you’re looking for a fun & easy palate cleanser with a dash of Halloween, this is the perfect read

The Immortal Vices and Virtues world is back with All Hallows' Eve. A series of novellas that takes place in the same world I love and on the night of the same name, All Hallows' Eve. Heather Renee is up first with Make Me.

Kasha was relatable. Outwardly, she projects a tough personality, but on the inside, she's a little damaged and a lot lost. Being half-fae and half-wolf shifter, growing up, she wasn't accepted. I can understand how she let others' opinions push her into making a bad decision. My heart went out to her. It was easy to see the toll it was taking. Talon immediately won me over. He was understanding, thoughtful, and completely devoted to Kasha from the start. My favorite thing he said was that Kasha didn't need fixing; she wasn't broken, she needed healing. I mean, who wouldn't swoon after that?

A witch is hosting a ball on All Hallows' Eve. Magic is in the air, and the scene is set in every mystical detail. It gives the feeling of an elegant Halloween with all the creatures that go bump in the night. We even get a little side story from another character that I'm hoping will be a novella in this series. I enjoyed the story. There was a lot of magic, a deep sense of romance, and guest appearances from some of my favorite characters in this world. Mark Me is great if you enjoy the IMVAV and a perfect start to this new series.

The return to the Immortal Vices and Virtues world has finally come, and we’re thrilled to be back. Kicking things off is Make Me. Set around All Hallow’s Eve, this story is told from the dual first person POV of Kasha and Thorn.
Kasha, half fae, half wolf shifter, gave up a part of herself in an attempt to please her mother. Unfortunately, that was a waste of time, a price over-paid, because it changed nothing, but cost her a lot. Years later, she lives in Crossroads and longs for the day that she’ll finally meet her mate. But with a piece of herself missing...is it all possible? An invitation to a Hallow’s Eve party could be the answer to her prayers, but only if she’s willing to try. Thorn is waiting to find his mate, and while he despairs on it ever happening...he’s not given up hope.
Short and to the point this book is a touch slow to really engage me, but it does eventually. Kasha and Thorn seem like they are well matched overall. He brings the swoonworthy romance to the page and will make you want to melt at his sweet words.
Hoping for steamy spice? Well, not this time around. You get open door romance, but little detail so be prepared to use your imagination.
Decent enough HEA for such a short story.

DNF 24%. This is another multi author series related to Immortal Vices and Virtues. There are a couple more set in the same world I think the Monstrous Mates series and the Shadow Shifter bonds series. While the concepts for most of the books in this world are fun most of the time the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

This is the last book I will pick up by Heather Renee. To date I have attempted to read 5 of her books and I have dropped 4 of them, including this one. Usually my problem centers on the female lead being a pain in the ass. Sadly that was also the case with this book. The female lead is whiny, self-pitying, and unfortunately kind of stupid. We got to hear her wax on about how she bound her wolf but then she just can't believe that she wouldn't feel the mate bond. Plus the focus of her sleeping with and then ghosting someone who really didn't deserve it did not endear her to me at all. If he was a creeper I would understand the ghosting but she fully admits that he was a very nice very attentive guy and she ghosted him because she has no spine.

In the end these books are not bad they really just aren't for me.

Look no further for your next drool-worthy hero! This book boyfriend will melt you in all the best ways. He's one hundred percent delicious.

One night can change your stars, proving that fated mates romance conquers all. This is one unputdownable tale that will quickly draw you in. Our heroine is strong, but she's not quite what she's meant to be. Our hero has no issue with tackling a problem, and one look is all it takes to reel him in. When things prove to be a wee bit complicated, he only digs his heels in further after establishing that he is indeed welcomed by her side.

Sparks fly as the flames leap from these spicy pages. What a fantastic way to begin the concluding season to the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe.

Make Me is a standalone set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues: All Hallows’ Eve series. Kasha is a half wolf shifter half Fae. When she was younger she was made to feel ashamed of her wolf half. She had a witch bind her wolf. Now as an adult she feels like she is missing something. She meets Talon at a ball. He knew as soon as he met Kasha that she was his mate. She couldn’t feel the bond due to binding her wolf. Now she has to find a witch that can help reverse everything. I love how Talon is willing to stay by her side even if her wolf can’t be returned.

Bridget and Jake Bordeaux did a fabulous job narrating this book in duet style narration.

I can not say enough good things about the immortal vices and virtues books. This world these amazing authors have created have been so intriguing and connected. It's so beautifully done!
Make me is the perfect kick off to another season. Heather does such a wonderful job developing these characters and ensuring the story though shorter misses nothing. I'm so excited we got Kasha and talons story. From start to finish it was chefs kiss and I loved the idea for this season. Don't miss out on these amazing books in this series. You will find so many great authors you might have otherwise missed.

Whew, this one is hot!!
When he growls, “Mine”. Yesssss.. This was such a fun and addicting listen. Narrated by the fabulous Bridget Bordeaux and Jake Bordeaux is always an addicting and engaging listen. The tones and inflections they used in this duet is just amazing. I loved every second of it. This is a fun paranormal romance novella that somehow doesn’t feel rushed. I love this world that the author has created. Sasha and Talon and the perfect duo for each other. I love Sasha’s character and I hope to revisit them again in the future.

Love fae, wolf, witches, Hallow’s Eve Ball and fated mates?!? You’ll love this fast pace spicy listen.

Make me by Heather Renee
Well written and enticing
It’s not often a book has me smiling.
Great characters with depth, values and humour.
I loved being able to read this in an afternoon, and I could “see” the story unfold in my mind.
Brilliant descriptions of situations and characters.
Kasha has life changing realisations that open her heart and soul to what could be. At times, in our own lives, we could heed the author, Heather Renee’s words, and listen to our inner voice.
Congratulations on creating a thought provoking but entertaining read!

Bad decisions, regret, fleeing from reality, and feeling empty, that was what seemed to have remained for Kasha, but Talon had found what he had been looking for and his support would be until the end. Many intense emotions with a suspense that kept me intrigued and feeling for Kasha and how the mistakes of others had affected her decisions and her life. The ongoing bickering between her and Spencer brought a smile to my face. So funny and touching. An unconditional friendship that had sparked positive changes in Kasha. These stories are very interesting and leave one wanting more.

Oooh, back to The IVAV world and it's Halloween!!! Yes please! I devoured Kasha and Talon's story!! An All Hallows Eve Masquerade and lots of truths are being revealed. I'm so happy Kasha for her own story and her own HEA. I loved her in the past series. She struggles with her true identity, because of her past, but I love how she finds her strength and is determined to fight for herself and her happiness. Talon is the definition of support and patience! He makes it clear to her that he isn't going anywhere and will fight to the very end for her!

The Immortal Vices and Virtues world is back with a brand new, but sadly, final series….All Hallows’ Eve. Make Me kicks off the series with a bang.

The witching hour is upon us, and magic is in the air as Kasha, finds herself invited to a ball. She meets Talon and everything she thought she knew about herself gets tested.

I loved Kasha and Talon. Kasha struggles with her identity as her past did a lot of damage. Talon, stole my heart, as he sought to show Kasha her worth and just how perfect she is.

A fast shifter read. We get one stubborn fae/shifter that needs a lot of pushs from friends and fate to get her to find her true self that she has hidden since she was a child. Kasha is smart but resists what everyone else realizes about her. But when fate and one handsome drop in on her she will have to make some hard choices. The characters of the story are so well written. You just want them as your friends too. We all need someone like Spencer in our life. There is some heat but things stay somewhat tame.

This is the first book in the fourth season of the Immortal Vices and Virtues series and I’m so freaking sad that this will be the final series of these truly amazing books.

While this is on the shorter side, it’s still a brilliant read. The series is called All Hallows’ Eve and I’m totally down for the spooky season vibes. I love Crossroads and I love being back there for more fun and mates finding each other. We also get a few characters we’ve met before which is always fun.

A brilliant read and can’t wait for more from these session.

Great romantasy from the world that brought us several many series from some of the same authors that we'll see in All Hallows' Eve series.

Half fae, half wolf. Embarassed and now lost. Will one ball change everything? A hot MMC that won't give up and take no for an answer. A bestie that is stubborn, but only wants the best for her friend. A witch that can change the course of actions and help bring the wolf back.

Fast read, very exciting and fun story. I am looking forward to reading the others

What a great book to start this season of Immortal Vices & Virtues! Even though this is a novella and a quick read you still get all the feels. Talon and Kasha are the perfect pair. Kasha did something she regrets and has the chance to correct it. It opens all new things for her. Talon is there for her through it all. Plus you will fall in love with her Bestie Spencer. I can't wait for the rest of the books in this season!!

This is the first book in the new installment of IV&V. Kasha is half fae, half wolf shifter. She did something to herself when she was younger to appease someone close to her, and its making her miserable.

For such a quick story, this had a lot of feels. Kasha has to learn about herself and has a lot of growth for such a quick read. Talon is on point, and doesn't stray from her for a second. Absolutely looking forward to the next book in the series!!

Kasha make a decision when she is very young, that she is starting to regret. Then she meets Talon, and realizes that she has to do what is necessary to reverse he situation. Kasha truly wants a mate and is willing to do what she has to, so that she can be whole. I Loved It!!! No Spoilers!! I HIGHLY Recommend!

Talon stays by her side though everything and is determined to prove their meant to be.

So glad to have returned to the next book of Immortal Vices and Virtues! I enjoyed the characters in Make Me, and for being such a quick read, the world building is great. I enjoyed that it was a fast and easy read; perfect to bring us back (or enter for the first time!) this world. It can be read without having read the other books of the past seasons first, even with the mention of past characters. Of course I recommend you read them all though, to get the full feels!

The perfect way to end a rough week and the final season of the Immortal Vices and Virtues series! Renee delivers her signature character banter along with all the action and romance you crave. I loved the tie-ins to previous IVV characters too and it left me hungry for the next release. Being a novella, Renee gives the reader a well-developed and complete story that is perfect for busy schedules. Bring on the next book!

good

I like this book, but it was definitely short and quick. The FMC believes that she bound her wolf, but she finds out that she didn’t just bind her. She actually gave some of her away. The ritual that is used to help her get her wolf back is pretty interesting. Even though she found her mate, she really has a difficult time believing it until She gets her wolf back. Then those two are all over each other.

This was supposed to be the first book in the series but I was really confused. There is no real word building or character development. Huge parts of this story happen off page. Maybe it’s a spin off? Idk but because of that everything was told to us. I didn’t realize that this was a novella, it said it was 176 pages so I figured it was just a shorter book. Nope, it ended at 65%, 112 pages, and the rest was just excerpts.
