Since the passing of her grandmother and being dumped by her ex in the same year. Heartbroken Anylee Smith has been focused on one thing. Becoming the best Crochet Fashion Designer. With the acceptance of having her designs displayed on the biggest runway in the world in the Virgin Islands, Anylee's dreams are on the tips of her fingers. But when one of her models cancels at the last minute, leaving her out of compliance with show rules, Anylee struggles to find a model to fill in.
With her ex, Santoro Reeves, celebrating his birthday in the Virgin Islands, the last thing they expected was to be reunited. Desperate to stay in the show, she settles for Santoro to be her model, based on the expectation of a few rules to keep her head focused on the show and clear of Santoro. But with Santoro breaking the rules, Anylee tries her hardest to keep their relationship strictly professional. But with Santoro back in the picture, she questions if her focus can stay on the show.
Can Anylee have the dreams and the love, or will she choose to be single and crochet?
Thank you to the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Anylee is stressed but excited for the moment she has lost sleep over and worked so hard for, only for one of her models to bail. In a tough position and with some liquid courage, she asks her ex to model in the show for her.
I liked Anylee’s models. They had a cool and playful dynamic and were both supportive and appreciative of the opportunity.
I also really liked how crocheting was weaved into the story. As someone who knows nothing about it, I could follow not only how tiresome it can be but also how dedicated and skilled Anylee was with designing and creating pieces.

Will Santoro and Anylee rekindle their love at the Virgin Islands. Read the story to find out!
Santoro and Anylee were so cute together, even as they were figuring everything out! You could tell how much Santoro still loves her, and the things he would do to see her smile. I appreciated how the book took us through her journey of following her dreams, and amplifying her passions while on her work trip. Her friend circle made it so much better, giving us a glimpse of how much they encouraged her and nudged her to give things a try. She was nervous during some parts, but absolutely found her way thanks to her friends and love interest. Eventually Anylee was able to harness her power and navigate her challenges head on. The book leaves you proud of her progress and happy for everything that was resolved! Ciana does a great job with this one!
3.5⭐️ this was a cute story of learning to bet on yourself and own it. While Anylee is navigating grief & a heartbreak she is given an opportunity to showcase her work and at the last min. one of her models cancel which leads her to rely on her ex Santoro who just so happens to be on the island with her. The tension between them is strong; Anylee battles with “should I give in or not”. I also enjoyed witnessing Anylee find the power within and realize that she is deserving of all things. Her friend group was so supportive!
I loved Anylee & Santoro so much. They were so sweet especially Santoro! There was a point where I wanted to scream at Anylee but I controlled myself and advised my guy, Toro to hold on for dear life. The slowburn on this one had me screaming, punching the air and kicking my feet in the air like a little schoolgirl. This was too cute for words!
Toro and Le Le aka Cupcake are a very cute and wholesome second chance story. I love that they both get to see each other life out their dreams. Also I need to learn to crochet.
A nice book about following your dream and following your feelings. The FMC going through her own insecurities to find herself and get all she dreamed she wanted for her life.
