Unearthing Secrets by Manda Lynn is a story about Avery Hutchinson escaping her abusive husband, Eddie, after he turns on their daughter, Addy. As Avery escapes and finds an ally and reporter to hear her story, family secrets start to unravel that could bring the Hutchinson's down.

I really enjoyed the mix of suspense, though I felt some of the big reveal was hinted at a little too early. I also liked when the perspective shifted to Eddie’s family—it added depth, but I wish it had happened sooner.

Overall, an emotional and fast-paced read that kept me hooked.
