Search and rescue and love....
Hunted by a serial killer....
After Alexis Sullivan and Denali, her cadaver K9, find the body of a dead woman in the mountains, she soon realizes she’s become the killer’s next target. And when she finds a second body, just two hundred yards away, she’s horrified to realize they’re dealing with a serial killer.
FBI Agent Griffin Flannery has already been investigating missing teenagers from across the state and rushes to join Alexis in the Bighorn mountains. Two of the three missing women are there, but he knows full well there could be others. Time is running out. He needs to find the third missing woman, fast. And when the killer turns his sights on Alexis, Griff knows he’ll risk his own life to save her.
Great read involving Alexis, Griff, and Alexis' K9 dog Denali as they search for a serial killer after Alexis and Denali found a dead body. Scent of Death was fast-paced and action-packed. Griff has a hard trouble believing God after the death of his wife as compared to Alexis who learned to trust God after her parents' deaths. This story also has age gap. Looking forward to the next installment in this series.
This one is a bit more intense than the previous reads in the series. Not overwhelmingly intense, but definitely more heightened. Alexis and Denali, her cadaver dog, are making a sweep on the mountain where her parents died in a plane crash. She knows chances are extremely slim that anything will be found, by Alexis has to try. She doesn't find anything connected to her parents; deaths, but she does find a body.. a dead woman. And they a 2nd one. It becomes apparent that Alexis has stumbled onto the burial site of a serial killer. Not only that, she's become his target.
Enter FBI Agent Griffin Flannery who has been investigating missing teenagers. The two found bodies are two of the missing teens from his investigation, but he knows there is at least one other if not more. As they search for the third none missing female, the killer intensifies his pursuit of Alexis and Griffin finds himself drawn to this amazing woman and determined to protect her no matter what it takes.
The reasons serial killers do what they do are always heartbreaking. When Alexis Sullivan has her K9 cadaver dog, Denali, out doing a search in the mountains for her parents who died 5 years ago, she instead runs across a body of a young woman. She calls in law enforcement and connects with Griffin Flannery, an FBI agent that has worked with her family several times over the last year. Griffin is working on a serial killer case and suspects the dead girl may be connected. Alexsis is now in the killer's crosshairs and Griffin must keep her safe while they try to figure out who this madman is! They discover other bodies and must race against time before the body count goes up, including Alexsis with the killer's sights on her! Griffin must overcome his aversion to a relationship since his wife died and he's upset with God about it. Alexsis also has issues since her past two boyfriends cheated on her. Can they learn to trust each other and find love? I love this series with the amazing feats of these K9's! They do such wonderful work and save lives. The inclusion of other Sullivan siblings and their K9s just adds to the depth of the story. I loved every minute of this book!
I have enjoyed meeting all the Sullivan siblings, but of them all I think Alexis possibly has the most difficult searches to deal with emotionally. The others find it difficult if they don't find their victims in time to save them, but Alexis and Denali only search for the dead, so even a successful search is a heartbreaking one. I enjoyed seeing her relationship with Griff blossom, and seeing the bond that Griff forms with Denali too. They work well together, different viewpoints and different experiences gives great scope for investigating. I look forward to our next visit with the Sullivans and their awesome K9's.
This series by Laura Scott in one of the best series I have read in a while. These are all stand alone reads but flow with each K-9 and sibling perfectly feeding into the next book. This book was one I could not put it down. He'll buy this book, buy this series and learn about the sibs, their K-9s and all the good each specifically trained dog can do. You won't regret it
Another terrific book by Laura Scott that features members of the Sullivan family. Griff was brought into the story to help find the kidnapped who took young teens then mutilated and liked them. He would bury them in the area that they were searching near the campground. A well written suspense novel just out by Scott.
This was an entertaining thriller that was okay but not super compelling. I also felt at times that it wasn't very realistic when it came to police procedure. Other than that, I liked the premise of the Sullivan family and their rescue dogs. The two main characters worked well together. Overall, it was good.
I’m so enjoying these K9 novels about such amazing dogs, and their dedicated handlers! The stories are well written and the characters are interesting. Their adventures kept me turning pages and ready for the next brave saga.
Once again Laura Scott put out fantastic book about the Sullivan Ranch and K9s. I get very involved in the story line and love how she includes faith in our Lord Jesus Christ! I will continue reading her books.
I enjoyed this book's storyline. Some parts of this story was sad 😔. I enjoyed the action in this story. I enjoyed the Christian ✝️ theme in this story. I enjoyed Griff's character. I enjoyed Alexis's character. I loved ❤️ Denali 🐕. I enjoyed the ending.
I love the characters in this series including the K9s of course. This book has a lot of suspense and the beginnings of a romance. It is an entertaining book!
