Rate this book
The Art of Casting Your Cares and Resting in God. Joyce Meyer explains why we should and how we can: -Trade our anxiety and worry for peace and joy. -Develop a childlike attitude of faith. -Rest in the arms of the Lord. -And much more! You will develop a deeper, more meaningful relationship with your heavenly Father as you understand how He cares for you. By following the leading of the Holy Spirit, your life will be filled with unlimited hope and overflow with His peace, so that you will finally Be Anxious for Nothing!

Difficult times, trials and tribulation are part of living in this world. However, God has provided a way for us to enjoy peace as a part of daily life. We can choose either to allow ourselves to be burdened with worry and anxiety or to live in the peace and joy the Father intended. In Be Anxious for Nothing, bestselling author Joyce Meyer teaches how to draw on the peace of God in the midst of negative circumstances instead of responding as do many people in the world with restlessness, fear and apprehension. She reveals the nature of the peace Jesus describes in John 14:27- a peace which is unlike anything the world knows- and how it can fill every area of your life.

Joyce Meyer is a New York Times bestselling author and one of the world's leading Bible teachers. Through Joyce Meyer Ministries, she teaches practically and candidly, openly sharing her experiences and helping millions of people to apply biblical principles to their situations and ultimately find hope and restoration through Jesus Christ. Her book Battlefield of the Mind has been a perennial bestseller, teaching people how to win the war in their minds and “think about what they think about.”

Joyce’s Enjoying Everyday Life program is broadcast to millions worldwide in 114 languages. She has also authored over 150 books, which have been translated into over 170 combined languages, including Battlefield of the Mind, which has sold over 7 million copies across the globe. We’ve also distributed over 43.5 million books around the world.

A survivor of childhood sexual abuse, Joyce discovered how to overcome the emotional pain of her troubled past and experience true joy, hope, and healing by applying God’s Word to her life. Her passion is to help others do the same. For more than 40 years, Joyce has held conferences across the United States and around the world, teaching God’s Word and sharing the message of Christ with millions. Joyce also encourages millions each day through social media and online efforts and resources at joycemeyer.org

Joyce’s passion to help people who are hurting is the foundation of Hand of Hope, the missions arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries. Each year, Hand of Hope provides millions of meals for the hungry and malnourished, installs freshwater wells in poor and remote areas, provides critical relief after natural disasters, and offers free medical and dental care to thousands through their hospitals and clinics worldwide. Through their Project GRL initiative, they rescue women and children from human trafficking, provide safe places where they can receive an education and nutritious meals, and seek to let all girls everywhere know they are loved and valued by God.

In 2023, Joyce founded Hope Mountain Ranch, an 800-acre refuge in Mount Pleasant, Utah. Inspired by her own personal journey, Hope Mountain Ranch is a place where people can experience the transformative power of God and find hope and healing. It also serves as the hub for Joyce Meyer Ministries’ outreaches across the United States.

"Because the devil knows we are making progress toward our goal, he will try to distract us. He will continually tempt us to "take the road of worry" so he can lead us off into destruction." ~ Joyce Meyer, "Be Anxious for Nothing", page 118-119.

One of my goals is to overcome anxiety, stress and worry. I think this kind of spirit is very prevalent in the world we are currently living in. Every time you hear the news, worry is broadcast on it. Therefore, we require strategies, skills and techniques to overcome worry.

We don't need more strategies of this world, but we require the strategies of our Lord. We can take our cares and give them to God and He will hold us up through all the troubling times.

This book helps one to learn how to deal with the anxieties of life the right way, rather than letting them choke our growth. This book is being used to cut down the thorns of worry in peoples lives.

The title says it all!!! Joyce does a wonderful job giving the reader scriptures and guiding principles to arm themselves against fear, worry and doubt. Joyce shares her own personal roadmap and experiences that helped her overcome these obstacles and enabled her to cast all of her cares! This is a book that I reference often, timeless!

This book was recommended to me by a dear friend right when I needed it most. I never thought of myself an anxious person, but I was (like most people) susceptible to moments of extreme worry and stress. It wasn't until I experienced an anxiety attack during a moment that I needed to be calm the most that I reconsidered how I looked at myself. I looked into some meditational exercises as well as thought about seeing a counselor to talk about my anxiety, but nothing seemed to speak to me like Joyce's words in this book. By the time I reached page 15, I felt so connected with what she was saying, as if she had written it just for me. Reading this book, I was able to refocus and quiet my mind, and felt much more centered than I have felt in awhile. I borrowed this book from my local library, but this may be one of the rare books that I may buy to keep even though I've finished it. It seems like a book that I can see myself coming back to again and again, whenever I may need to reread the truths within it.

This book totally changed my life when I read it, back in 2008. I went from being a champion "worry wart" and someone who stressed over many things, to being a peaceful woman who has learned to totally trust in God, lay her troubles in His lap, and leave them there. This is a MUST read for every single Christian who struggles with worry and stressing over issues.

Thus far this book has moved me to think about my daily walk with God. It is powerful! I highly recommend this book to everyone who has ever felt anxious, constantly moving and doing, trying to make things work when the first thing we need to do is give ourselves to God! Finding peace and rest in Him. Great book!

Joyce Meyer not only gives great sermons, but also great books!
Her "here it is" approach is a breath of fresh air to me. I love how she approaches even the most hardest of topics, and naturally I find myself re-reading her books often.

This is a great book for those who need advise on handling anxiety and worry.

Another Joyce Meyer book filled biblical scriptures and her insightful personal antidotes.
