Nymph is the first part of a paranormal erotic romance trilogy. Something is stalking Los Angeles. And something is stalking that. Chloe is a cop with the LAPD, and she has a dirty little secret. She can’t get enough of casual encounters, but as the tension in the city rises, her clinches are becoming more and more dangerous. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to her, Hunter is watching her every move, ready to take his chance and reveal a secret so shocking it will change her life. “Alexis Shore can truly write a smoking hot sex scene,” The Romance Reviews.
I chose this rating because it was an interesting read. I would love to read this as a full book that had more depth, background, history of the characters something more then just sex but if that is what you are looking for this is the book for you. The author was able to allow the reader to fall into the story and placed them right where they needed to be to see all the action. There were a few areas that I would change in the book one being changing the setting to somewhere in the UK because some the word usage that is used is not common for an American to say let alone a LAPD officer, words such as Frigged, Wank, Prick (in place of penis, dick, manhood, ect.) and the over usage of the word tits was a bit distracting and removed me from the story and placed my attention on the word usage.
This was MUCH BETTER than some of the other ones I've read by Ms. Shore. The firefighter one was decent, the paramedic one was good, the doctor one not at all worth reading the rest. This one though? I finished it in 20 mins and was looking for the next ones to download. The writing has improved, there's a few small grammatical errors that were overlooked before publishing, and the mix of US/UK verbiage/culture is a smidge bizarre. If you can get past all that, the story is actually pretty good. I'd recommend this one for sure.
