Brody and Daisy are the perfect mix of fun, spice, and romance
Brody has always been the comedic relief in this series. I love that Daisy lets him be himself. I love that he is so supportive and encourages her to explore her true passion in art instead of expecting her to conform to societal expectations. This book had me sobbing on multiple occasions, but it was so beautifully written. Rachel's character has always sort of been in the background of the other books, never really having the opportunity to shine. I loved getting to see what a vital role she played in so many lives. She is the true definition of a mother, someone who does it all without ever really being acknowledged, someone always capturing memories on film for everyone else instead of being in front of the lens. I love that Dirk and Jesse were there to help Daisy in a way only they could. This group of characters are truly the perfect example of found family. I'm sad to see this series come to an end, but I thought this book was the final book, so it was a fun surprise to see we have one more. I can't even guess what journey the final book will take us on.
Please be sure to check trigger warnings because this interconnected standalone series contains very heavy real-life topics that may be hard to read for some people.
