Rate this book
The final installment of the Empire of Vengeance series...

As Livia is drawn deeper into a world of shadows and forbidden magic, she discovers that desire can be just as deadly as a blade. Her heart aches for the men she loves, but every step away from them pulls her closer to a new, consuming danger.

In a land where dragons darken the skies and betrayal hides in every shadow, love is the most perilous weapon of all. And when the final choice comes, it won’t just be the Empire’s chains that threaten to break her…

It will be her own heart.

This is the final installment of the Empire of Vengeance series, a fantasy romance where a woman fights for those who cannot, with the men she loves at her side always.

Ok

I was not overly impressed with this series. I'm giving it a 4 star since it's not because the writing was bad. I just didn't really care for a lot of it. I felt like there were way too many guys and some of them were brought into the relationship pointlessly. For example, Antonius…What good did he do to the relationship? Very little time was dedicated to him and it just seemed like he was thrown in randomly. Taveth being thrown in towards the end just irritated me because another "mate" from the Talfen was completely unnecessary. He was thrown in as a way to drag the story out another book. He was a bad person, supposedly because of the shadows. Then, we're supposed to accept that he forced himself on her repeatedly because it's not his fault and they were fated mates. That's the justification for it. I am not a fan of dubious consent and then it being justified. Overall, the series had potential. The plot was interesting. It just dragged on way too long and there was a lot of unnecessary filler. In my opinion, the whole Talfen City scenario could have been eliminated. Very little that happened there contributed to the plot at all.

When an author writes an entire series that has you so gripped you mark each release on the calender so you know you won't miss one, when they have you ensnared that randomly you'll have a thought about a character or the plot - days, weeks after you finished the previous book. You know you're gonna reread this series many times.
This conclusion to Liv and her guys story was absolutely perfect and I couldn't ask for more. It made my dark heart sing and I cannot thank the author enough for making a story that will stay with me for years!
I'm not someone who can write a review that makes you think 'ohh I should get this' but I am a foul mouthed Welsh woman that can say 'oi, get this mush! ' please grab the series and settle in under a blanket and binge read, you won't be disappointed

This is the final installment of the series. I was ho.oked with Livia and her men. The story is thrilling, very well written, amazing plot and action and great complex characters. The descriptions are epic and the shifter lore is kind of unique. The story is emotional and depicts the relationships between Livia and each of her men, unique in their own way. As a reverse h@rem story it has also a lot of spice (5/5🌶)🤩🥵😋. I honestly enjoyed the whole series and how it developed to the end.
Absolutely recommend this series!
Love💖💓💕

This wasn’t great. It wasn’t as awful. But the last 2 books are SO FAR from the series original idea that it feels as though you’re not even reading the same series. I signed up for a gladiator overthrowing an empire, not some random rock that’s corrupted a new mate and how is impacted and cursed the dragon shifters (who btws is supposedly stronger yet losing the war?).

The first 3 books said NOTHING about magic, now this book is almost entirely focused on it??? I genuinely don’t understand. The book wasn’t BAD, but it felt like an entirely different story.

Found family
Fated mates
Dragons
Shadow magic

We start book 5 straight after book 4 where we see Livia being taken to Taveth’s home - Thal’Zereth.
Livia misses her mates but she’s in a luxury prison with Taveth. He’s been consuming her so she forgets about her other mates. He wants her all for himself.
Another mate and another war with the Empire.
Amazing series. Sad that it’s all over. The smut in the book is wild.
Those last two chapters 🥵🫠
Grab this series you won’t regret it

Wow. This is the final installment of this series, and it was epic. Elizabeth tied all the loose ends into pretty little bows.

The growth and chemistry between Livia and her men is explosive. They have battled through everything designed to pull them apart and came out stronger for it.

This series is ear-marked as one of my favorites, and I was said to see it end!

Omg, I freaking loved every second of this book and this series as a whole. The story is incredible, and the characters are amazing. I love them all so much; they all fit so perfectly together. This was definitely a rollercoaster ride, and I was soooo here for every single one of those drops. If you haven’t read this series, I highly recommend that you do! 5 stars, no notes!

Great ending to a brilliant series

I love that livia got all her mates. This book had me on the edge of my seat and shouting out loud at some point. But I love how the series ended.

I have loved this series and these characters! This book really tied everything up well, from over the last five books.

The drama, the rebellion, the battles, the relationships - there was so much going on, especially after that nice little cliffhanger at the end of book four.

It takes a little time for everyone to get back in the same place, but it was worth the chaos to get there.

I enjoyed this emotional, action packed story. Loved every minute!
