Midnight Magic: A Three Moon Falls Companion Novella

Rate this book
Midnight Magic is a companion story to the Three Moon Falls Series.

Dabney Booth is stuck smack dab between a rock and a hard place. Or between poverty and the ridiculous stipulations of her grandfather’s will. How in the world is she going to find love before the month’s end? Magic seems like the only solution. Too bad magic isn’t within her skill set, and the man she thought was her soulmate turned out to be a lying conniver.

Fire Chief Sam “Sparky” McKenna has been in love with Dabney for as long as he can remember. They were happy until his awareness of his circumstances forced him to dump her without telling her why. He’d love nothing more than to win her heart back, but now she wants nothing to do with him, and his secret past seems to him an insurmountable barrier between them. When Dabney magically blows up her backyard, Sam rushes to her rescue.

Will his secret keep them apart, or will the truth set him free and make him realize he’s worthy of her love?

MAGICAL SECOND CHANCES

Three Moon Falls is a town with a diverse population, including many individuals with magical powers. Dabney Booth possesses powers, albeit not particularly strong ones. With the death of her grandfather, she is caught in a dilemma; she needs to be married, or the money left to her will go to a male cousin who is a drug addict. While Dabney doesn’t want the money for gain, she wants to help her two younger sisters, whom she is guardian to—and that is why she has been working on a spell.

The story’s plot will have Dabney working on a spell, and this is the final night—one that will bring her a man to marry. Just as she is finalizing the incantation, the neighbor’s son will shoot off fireworks that will strike the gazebo she is in, causing an explosion and injuring Dabney.

Fire Chief, Sam ‘Sparky’ McKenna, and Dabney had dated for over a year—and then, just when she thought he was going to propose, he shatters her world by ending their relationship. As one of the first responders to the fire at her rental home, he is upset to see how hurt she is—more emotionally than physically. Will these two find a way back to each other before it is too late?

“Here’s to two wounded lovers finding new happiness.”

The story is a fun read, interesting characters, just enough angst, compassion, and confessions to bring them back together.

A sweet magical love story that’s both fun and heartfelt. The characters are interesting and easy to care about, with just enough angst, compassion, and heartfelt confessions to make their journey back to each other satisfying.

Three Moon Falls is a wonderfully diverse town, filled with all kinds of magical beings and personalities, making it a setting I’d love to revisit. It’s a charming, cozy read with a touch of magic and plenty of heart.

This is the first book I’ve read in the Three Moon Falls series and it definitely has me interested in reading more!! I love the magical elements in the book.

It’s a very sweet second chance story between Dakota and Sam (Sparky). From the very first chapter, it’s easy to see how much they mean to each other. I was so happy they finally talked and were able to work through everything to get their happily ever after!

This was a quick read. It is a second chance, cozy romance with a little bit of magic. I adored Sam’s personality and the way he cared for Dabney even when she pushed him away over and over.
This is a dual pov, clean romance.
