Damaged Mogul

Rate this book
My father asks the brooding and gruff billionaire to watch over me as my bodyguard for an evening during my trip to LA. Returning home with a bun in the oven, wasn’t part of the plan…

To win the love and affection of my overbearing and controlling father, I agree to the career path he’s chosen for me.

As a favor, Gage Hollingsworth, a billionaire business contact of his, agrees to be my bodyguard for an upcoming college exploratory trip in Los Angeles.

When I stepped off the plane, I didn’t expect a 6’5” god with gorgeous translucent green eyes and permanent scowl as my bodyguard. Everyone wants a piece of him, so I guess that’s why he walks around with a grumpy attitude and only growls his responses.

Me?

I don’t want anything from him. I just want to be the one who puts a smile on his devastatingly handsome face. He keeps putting his CEO job on pause to spend time with me, and that makes me feel like I matter.

During an extended weekend, Gage shows me the best the City of Angels has to offer. Ignoring the age gap between us, he also shows me the best of him.

I even cross off a big first on that trip. Maybe I should’ve told him beforehand, but I’m glad I didn’t. I wanted it to be him.

I never expected the little keepsake

In nine months, I’ll have a big surprise for one of LA’s most notorious billionaire moguls. Will this secret be enough to open the heart of a man who keeps everyone at arm’s length?

USA Today Bestselling Author Scarlett Avery brings you a grumpy billionaire who’s emotionally damaged and a sheltered girl who’s longing to be labeled as more than her father’s extramarital mistake. Gage and Lily are broken souls that will melt your heart.

This romance was spitting sparks and sexual tension from the jump! It was an *almost* forbidden age gap which felt decadent and delicious. Lily and Gage were two broken people with wealth all around them, who are missing that essential piece that makes it all worth it.

Lily might be young, but she's lived through a LOT in her 21 years. Her father is cruel and dismissive, seeing her as a burden, or at most, an ornament to get him further in business.

Gage is wealthy but jaded and he has a busy life but no one to come home to. He's reluctant to keep an eye on his business associate's 21-year old daughter... until he gets his eyes and hands on her, that is.

It's a tale of insta-lust and passion that leads to them sharing their souls and finding more in common than they expected. They may fall for one another very quickly, but they were so caring and intense together, it was hard not to get pulled along with them.

They were also very sexually compatible and when Gage gets dominant in the bedroom, Lily is only to eager to be the center of his attention. He teachers her mutual passion and they nearly set the sheets on fire!

This book also has a surprise pregnancy in the 3rd act, so keep that in mind. It was hard to find that as a CW, so I wanted to share it here. My only slight draw back in the book was that it was extremely long for the story it contained. And a big reason for that is the non-stop sex marathon they have in the middle of the book. I didn't mind it at all, but it did add a few hours to the listening time. lols!

The duet narration by Jason Clarke and Vivienne LaRue was attention grabbing and kept me listening long into the night.

Huge thanks to Lovenotes PR for the ARC copy!

Lily’s relationship with her father is complicated, and in a bid to earn his approval, she agrees to attend an event in LA on his behalf. What she didn’t expect? The broody, tattooed billionaire Gage, her father’s handpicked chaperone. From the moment they meet, the tension between them is electric. It’s like gravity: irresistible and intense. When they finally give in to the heat simmering between them, sparks fly and a spicy romance ignites. Lily begins to explore her desires, and Gage - who’s been emotionally shut down - starts to feel again when he’s with her…

💭 I liked this book, but something felt a little off for me. The spice was a bit much for me, it felt like half the book were spicy chapters, which was a bit repetitive. Gage leans toward dominance and prefers a submissive partner, which made him feel a bit too controlling at times. That said, I really loved the way he treated Lilly during their dates, when his softer side peeked through, and I wish we’d seen more of that. Overall, I enjoyed the read and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a steamy romance with a dominant-submissive dynamic.

I really like how the book started off but I’m now at 45% complete and honestly don’t know that I can read another page. I don’t need to know the entire life story of her best friend, nor the nitty gritty on every aspect of her parents life, nor do I care about her vacation playlist or every single piece of food that enters her mouth. Talk about filler!! Page after page of mind numbing nothingness. It’s painful in its banality. And Lily’s assertion that every single man in France is a manwhore, is stupid and almost comical given how sheltered her life has been.

I’m also struggling with the fact that she’s just turned 21 and it’s creeping me out frankly, that this 32 year old man is treating her like a sex project. He’s determined to “expose” her to everything she’s “been missing”. I’m all for the forbidden love/reformed rake genre etc., but something about the way Lily and Gage are written with Lily all gullible and starstruck and Gage asserting control at every turn is very uncomfortable.

Miscommunication is my least favorite trope. Also almost everyone in this book was a cheater. 😞 Jason Clarke did a phenomenal job on the narration.

Scarlett Avery delivers another scorching romance with Damaged Mogul, a story that’s equal parts passion and vulnerability. Gage Hollingsworth our brooding billionaire is a dominant alpha, emotionally complex, and utterly magnetic. From the moment he meets Lily, sparks fly and emotions run deep. Gage is acting as her bodyguard/babysitter while she is in California visiting possible film schools as a favor to Lily’s father.

Lily is tired of living in the shadows of her puppet master father, who is immensely controlling of her life. She has been cast aside for too long and wants to reclaim her path moving forward. She may be naive at first but Gage opens her world up abundantly. It was so inspiring her see her grow into herself while in California and with the help of Gage and his friends.

What I loved most was how Avery balances intense chemistry with genuine emotional depth. Gage and Lily aren’t just falling into bed (there is a lot of delicious spice) but they are also falling into each other’s broken pieces and learning how to heal. The dialogue is sharp, the pacing is tight, and the tension (both romantic and emotional) never lets up.

If you’re into possessive men, strong heroines, and stories that make your heart race and ache at the same time, Damaged Mogul is a must-read. Scarlett Avery knows how to write heat, but she also knows how to write heart.

A huge thank you LoveNotes PR and Scarlett Avery for the early copy!

I’m diving straight into this review! I listened to the audiobook, and it was a hit. I really enjoyed the narration, so I recommend picking it up in this format.

Starting off with Lily she didn’t deserve the way her father treated her, but I’m glad she stood up for herself when she had the support of Gage and her best friend. Gage is so good for her and absolutely delicious. Their connection felt intimate and beautiful. He fell hard and was so protective.

They’ve both been through so much, and I’m glad they opened up to each other. I loved the club scene being played out, and the role-play scene with the handyman oh my gosh, that scene made me absolutely feral. It was delicious.

Im looking forward to reading more of Scarlett’s work in the future!

That is legit fall in lust at first sight 🔥

I was legit blushing while reading the first half of the book with how intense the chemistry and tension between them. But everything did seem to move very fast since it is lust at first sight.

Overall since i was in a mood of a quick simple read this didn’t seems that boring too me and i was quite ok with it even with a big chuck of hotness in the book with a very fast paced plot ✨

What i can say is i crave for Tetona book 😭😭 i get a glimpse of her with her husband in the club and i am hooked. It was freaking hot! I legit get a glimpse pf proper Femdon through her, 3 man worshiping her & her husband at the side watching everything while waiting for her permission just did it for me 😮‍💨😮‍💨 but i don’t think we will be having her book 🥲 because the way she was written is more like a passing character but i will scream my lungs out if the author decided to write it 😭 ——— i mean we will kind all the rare spicy kink just from her book : Cuckhold, Femdon, sharing, exhibition, voyeur, breastfeeding kink etc (because i sure there will be more 👀)

Can anyone just suggest me a book that have all the above since it is hard to find and i don’t think i even found a character like Tetona and a married couple like them both in a book 🫠

(All about Tetona)
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

I’m dumbfounded by the fact she’s only wearing a G-string and platform high heels—both yellow. And she has one guy sucking on one of her giant boobs and another guy sucking on the other, and a third guy is knelt at her feet, fingering her pussy while jerking off at a furious pace.

That man’s cock needs to come with a warning.

He can’t close his hand around his shaft because he’s huge.

“Since she’s been a member, she’s always showed up topless and wearing a G-string ––regardless of the evening’s theme.” Larkin isn’t done shocking me. “She loves getting her mammoth tits sucked by men or women. She was quite popular during the last trimester of her pregnancy when her breasts were eye-popping M-cups. She gave birth nine months ago. This is her second time back at the club. Her popularity has skyrocketed with members who have an adult breastfeeding kink.”

“Tetona is a femdom.”

What does that mean? God. My innocence is glowing in the dark.

“She orders her husband to whip out his dick and rub one out, while he watches others give her pleasure, and shoot his load in the mouth of one of her willing playmates—man or woman. Whatever her husband lacks in height, he makes up for in dick size. Which is why Tetona doesn’t allow any of her playmates to suck off the hubby’s dick. She’s territorial like that.” Larkin’s explanation rattles every good girl fiber of my being.

Holy fuck.

“The guy knelt at Tetona’s feet is Gilby. I’ve been told his superpower is his longer than average tongue and the fact he knows what to do with it. He’s one of Tetona’s favorite playmates. She always comes, screaming, gushing all over his face. Gilby’s fetish is eating out women who have the ability to come like water fountains. That man can eat pussy morning, day, and night. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before Tetona sits on his face. It’s a pretty spectacular show.”

“I hope I didn’t disappoint you. I’m sure you’re used to women with so much more experience than me. Being with a silly virgin must be a downgrade for you :((”- these words alone make my blood pressure rise. NOTHING, and I mean **nothing**, pisses me off more than when authors portray FMCs like insecure, self-deprecating, and acting like their entire worth depends on whether they’ve had sex or not.

It’s actually insane how often books romanticize this weird shame complex. Like girl, why are you apologizing for not having sexual experience? Why is that even *a thing* to be embarrassed about? You’re not “less than” because you haven’t done something. You’re not some naive charity case that the MMC has to “teach.” You’re just a human being. Period.

And the worst part? It normalizes the idea that women need to have sexual experience to be desirable, or that *not* having any somehow makes them “boring” or “less worthy.” It’s gross. It’s lazy writing. And it’s just another way of glamorizing the idea that women’s value lies in how much they give their bodies away. No one’s “selling their body” for empowerment if the whole message behind it is rooted in shame and comparison.

Give me FMCs who are confident, complex, and know their worth not girls written like they’re apologizing for existing.

The reason I’m even talking about this scene is because I’ve seen it *everywhere* on TikTok and Instagram, people literally swooning when the guy says, “I’m not disappointed at all, not only are you a hot little thing, but now, your tight pussy has been perfectly molded for my cock.”

Be fucking for real. That’s not romantic, it’s just him sexualizing her insecurity. She’s being vulnerable, and instead of reassuring her, he turns it into dirty talk. That’s not deep, it’s objectification with good lighting and people are lowkey out here confusing this dialogue with chemistry? DPMO

Two broken souls drowning in wealth but still aching for more and that’s Lily and Gage. And wow… Scarlett Avery had me hooked on every single page with all the steam, angst, and heart.

Lily might only be 21, but she’s lived through way too much. Her father is cold, cruel, and only sees her as a burden or a pawn. Then there’s Gage (32), powerful, jaded, and used to empty nights. He doesn’t want to “babysit” his associate’s daughter… until he actually *meets* her. One look, one touch, and everything changes.

The chemistry? Obsessively good. Like, they could not keep their hands off each other and yes, it turned into a non-stop spice marathon in the middle 😂🔥 (it did make the book feel long, but honestly, I wasn’t mad about it). But what really made this story shine for me was how Scarlett balanced all that heat with real emotional depth. They’re not just falling into bed, they’re falling into each other’s broken pieces and learning how to heal.

Also quick note, there’s a surprise pregnancy in the 3rd act (not flagged clearly as a CW), so definitely good to know going in.

Tropes I devoured:
💼 Billionaire romance
⏳ Age gap (21/32)
🌥️ Grumpy x Sunshine
🥰 Boy Obsessed
♠️ Tortured Brooding Billionaire
🫣 Tattooed in a Suit
😇 Virgin FMC + Dominant MMC
🌶️ Spicy Lessons & Punishment Play
🧡 Found Family

If you’re into possessive men, strong heroines, and stories that make your heart restless, this book is for you. Scarlett Avery gave me heat, heart, and everything in between, and now I’m counting down the days until Larkin’s story.

Damaged Mogul by Scarlett Avery is a steamy, emotional, and addictive billionaire romance that blends forbidden temptation with heartfelt devotion. 💼🔥💖

Lily, a 21-year-old just stepping into her independence, has grown up under the shadow of a controlling father and cruel brother. When she’s sent to a party with Gage — a powerful 32-year-old mogul with a complicated past — sparks ignite instantly. Their first meeting, with Lily in a soft pink dress and La Vie en Rose playing, sets the tone for a romance that’s both tender and explosive.

Gage is every inch the dominant alpha: protective, possessive, and utterly obsessed with Lily. From hot elevator encounters to playful role play, the spice level is off the charts — and half the book sizzles with passion. Yet beneath the intensity, he gives Lily the affection and care she’s never received before, from throwing her the birthday her father forgot, to standing firmly by her side when their accidental pregnancy changes everything.

What I loved most is how their connection balanced raw chemistry with vulnerability. Both scarred by difficult childhoods, they find not just heat but healing in each other. Found family vibes, heartfelt devotion, and plenty of dirty talk make this story unforgettable.

If you love:
✨ Billionaire alphas
✨ Age-gap romance (21/32)
✨ Virgin FMC + dominant MMC
✨ Possessive, protective heroes
✨ High spice with emotional depth

…this book delivers in every way. Scarlett Avery nailed the balance of passion and heart, and now I’m counting down the days until Larkin’s story. 💫

Damn, Gage may be the spiciest Mogul yet! His friends playing him like a violin, forcing him to crack his ‘hands off’ approach. I loved it! Lily & Gage are lightning in a bottle. Their chemistry is off the charts, their heat is an inferno and their obsession is adorable. There is no she/he falls first, they both fall headlong into love and it’s addictive. This story is super hot, and the way these two come together is delicious. Lily may be young, shy and inexperienced but she’s learning to have her own voice and when she does, she doesn’t hold back. She learns to stand up to her father and grasp the reigns of her own life. Both of these individuals carry the baggage of loss but they heal each other in beautiful ways. The spice is spicing, the plot is captivating and the love is simply beautiful. Plus, you get the friend’s story which truly shows how lovable these characters are. Their friends are there for them in the best ways. I absolutely devoured this story.

Jason Clarke & Vivienne Larue are the perfect complement to each other. They brought the story to life with enthusiasm, style and flair. Jason’s deep voice further enforces Gage’s control while Vivienne embodied innocence in such a unique way and boy, can she give sass. I loved their narration style as it kept you fully engaged and on the edge of your seat for more.

Damaged Mogul by Scarlett Avery is everything I want in a billionaire romance—grumpy hero, forbidden attraction, and enough angst to keep me glued to the page.
Lily has spent her life being cast aside by her powerful father, but she refuses to let his indifference define her. Enter Gage Hollingsworth: a broody, larger-than-life mogul who’s supposed to be her protector at a high-profile event. Instead, he becomes the one man she can’t stay away from.
The chemistry between Lily and Gage is explosive. Scarlett Avery writes with an intensity that makes every stolen glance and heated exchange feel electric. But this story isn’t just about lust—it’s also about Lily’s fight to be seen, respected, and loved on her own terms. Watching her stand up to her father while navigating her connection with Gage gave me chills.

🌶 Spice Level: 5/5 – This book is very spicy, with explicit, open-door scenes. The tension builds until it bursts into scorching chemistry, and Avery doesn’t hold back. If you like your romance on the hotter side, this will deliver.

✨ Favorite Quote:
“I’m not expecting you to love me like you love your sons, but at the very least, respect me.”

Scarlett Avery knows how to blend raw passion with emotional depth, and Damaged Mogul proves it.

Really enjoyable story

I saw this book advertised and liked the sound of the storyline, and I wasn’t disappointed!
Really well written, good strong storyline and great characters in Gage and Lily. It also made a nice change that both characters were rich rather than rich hero and poor downtrodden heroine.
Gage had worked hard for his money and business. Lily was the product of an affair, her father is rich but he favours his 3 sons and poor Lily is the unwanted one, even though her father likes to run her life for his own gain.
Scarlett is excellent at building the characters and storyline. The book was just the right length. I also liked that although there were plenty of ups and downs, there was no unnecessary angst or long separations.
The only negative I have (and I think it is more to do with my likes and dislikes) was the nightclub were kinky things happened, I am pleased to say our characters didn’t share with others so I am not sure that it needed to be part of the story, Gage and Lily had there own kinks in private, they didn’t need to go to a hotel to do it! Other than that this was a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I will be looking for my next book from this talented author. Thank you Scarlett ❤️

Lily is in LA visiting film schools and her father has asked grumpy billionaire Gage to be her ‘bodyguard’ to an event while she’s there. When they meet sparks fly and Gage starts to feel things he hasn’t felt for three years. Soon they give into their attraction but they know it’s only temporary- Lily will be returning to New York in just a few days and Gage has an empire to run in LA. But as Gage avoids work to play tour guide to Lily, they start to wonder if they could make this thing between them work. But when Lily returns home, her father drops multiple bombshells on her causing her to flee and when she discovers she’s pregnant she’s worried that history is repeating itself. Can Gage find her and put things right or Lily destined to live her life as dictated by her father?

I loved this!! Gage is just the right amount of grumpy I like and his mouth in the bedroom 😳😳 holy hell 🥵🥵 he pretty much can do no wrong! Considering Lily is only 21, she wasn’t one of those naive, childish FMCs that’s super annoying. She is strong and fierce finding her own. I am actually obsessed with these two! Especially Gage but come on! If you read it you’ll understand why!

💛Billionaire
💛Age Gap
💛Grumpy/Sunshine
💛Found Family

This was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be my last! I’m already excited to go back and read the earlier books in the series. This story was a fun, spicy read featuring a grumpy, dominant billionaire and a sweet, strong woman who’s just beginning to find herself.

Lily travels to LA at her father’s request to check out a film school, and while she’s there, he hires Gage to be her bodyguard for an event. From the moment they meet, the chemistry is electric, you can feel the tension and attraction building immediately. Both Lily and Gage carry emotional scars from their pasts, but together, they find healing and strength.

I especially loved the found family dynamic and how warmly the other women welcomed Lily and it added a lot of heart to the story.

The duet narration by Jason Clarke and Vivienne LaRue was phenomenal. They truly brought Gage and Lily to life, and I felt every emotion through their performance.

Highly recommend for fans of steamy romance with depth, character growth, and a strong sense of connection!

3.5 for the spicy talking H. That man had a filthy mouth.
(Possible spoilers ahead)

The book was okay. There were a few plot points that made me roll my eyes.
1. The way h just bent to her dad’s demands
2. The whole friends circle going to the smex club together
3. The whole friends circle, in general
4. No comeuppance for the dad.
5. The no communication when she was shown videos of H with another woman. She just assumed, and the OW turned out to be his sister
6. h being a V, but able to act like a 5 ⭐️ porn star the first time.
7. The way H was happy about the pregnancy
8. The smex club
9. The role playing (even though I did laugh)
10. Everything about her relationship with her dad/half brothers

This was an age gap of 10 years, but I don’t feel like it played a part in the plot. h is 21, H is 31.
You don’t have to worry about h being secretive about her past. If H asked her a question, she would tell him everything. That was a nice change because I’m used to info about pasts being slow rolled out.

There’s not really any OW issues (other than what I mentioned at #5.) H has been “celibate” for 3 years (only gets oral)

There is an accidental pregnancy.

Another 5 ⭐️ read! Lily and Gage's story had me drooling, giggling, squealing and kicking my feet! Devilishly delicious!😈

Lily never imagined her quick trip to the City of Angels would result in her losing her virginity, making friends who felt more like family than her own blood and discovering that the fat, gross man who was assigned to watch over her by her evil father really wasn't so fat and gross...more like a Greek God.

Gage, a self-made billionaire who used sounds to communicate instead of words, was not prepared to have his world rocked by a fresh 21 year old "assignment" that an investor asked him to watch over. So much lust and damn sexual tension from the moment he saw her walk into the bar to the night he finally claimed her as his.

I loved so many things about their story. It was torture having to put it down to sleep. I read it in less than 24 hours and didn't want it to end. I am extremely excited for the next book in this series to find out what makes Larkin tick and to discover his kinks. Yummy!!

Thank you Love Note PR & Scarlett Avery for sharing this incredible story!

Holy hell, I cannot even. This book had me hooked from page one. Lily and Gage? Absolute chaos in the best way.

Lily stepping out into her independence while dealing with her family’s control had me rooting for her so hard. And then there’s Gage… protective, possessive, utterly alpha, but also capable of making you melt in one look. The tension between them? Electric. Every glance, every word, every touch had me wooing.

What makes this more than just a steamy romance is the heart. Both Lily and Gage are carrying their own scars, and seeing them slowly let each other in? Chef’s kiss. From quiet, vulnerable moments to the insane, pulse-pounding chemistry, it’s a perfect mix of fire and emotion. There’s a scene where he throws her a birthday about which her own father forgot, and I swear, I almost cried (it's a lie. I actually cried).

The romance isn’t just lust—it’s about trust, healing, and finding someone who sees all of you and still wants every piece. Add in found family vibes, heart-melting devotion, and a heat level that’ll make you need a cold shower… and yeah, I am officially obsessed. I cannot wait to reread this.

A billionaire romance that starts with promise but quickly drowns in "filler" content and a lack of emotional maturity.

Key Takeaways:
Major Pacing Issues: The middle of the book is full of "filler" chapters. I found myself skipping pages because I didn't need a play-by-play of every meal she ate or deep-dives into side characters that didn't move the main plot forward.

Emotional Deflection: Instead of connecting on a deep level, the MMC used sex and surface-level compliments to dodge the FMC's insecurities. The "silent treatment" he gave her was frustrating, and her quick forgiveness felt unearned.

The "Surprise Baby" Trope: This felt forced (everyone (stories of side characters) got pregnant really early🫠)

Logic Gaps: Wealthy side characters offered "advice" to the FMC but provided zero actual resources to help her leave her situation, making their support feel performative.

Everyone is a cheater somehow?!?

Between the boring filler and the MCs inability to connect emotionally, this was a miss. If you value tight pacing and a hero who actually talks to the heroine, skip this one.

📕BOOK REVIEW📕

This is my first book by the author, and what a delicious book this is.

Gage and Lily meet through her father: he is constantly arranging chaperones but this one turns out to be particularly well planned. Lily and Gage hit it off straight away, and whilst they only have a few days with each other, Lily learns to finally take what she wants and finally stand up to her father, who treats her more like a business deal.

I wasn’t expecting to literally be hot under the collar from the get go. Gage and Lily were absolutely on fire. You could honestly feel their connection straight from the moment they met. I loved the inner monologues- I thought they were quite funny in parts, and this helped really get to know their characters.

Poor Lily: her family are pretty diabolical, especially her dad. But I loved how she learnt to stand up for herself: go Lily!!
Gage was honesty feral for her. That man and his mouth was honestly HOT as anything. And his name: what a sexy name that is.

First time author for me: I am intrigued by her and I need it read some more.

I loved the blurb, the prologue, and the first half of the chapters I’ve read. However, I faced the same issue I’ve encountered before: the book contains a lot of French transcriptions and sentences. Even though translations were provided, switching back and forth between English and French was a bit challenging. Considering that probably half of the book has French phrases, it made reading a little difficult.

That said, the grumpy x sunshine trope fits perfectly. Lily’s backstory, especially how her father has treated her like a puppet, was heartbreaking. I just wanted to punch him! Learning in the first chapter that he forgot her 21st birthday was so sad—it genuinely made me cry.

Overall, the chemistry between the leads is fantastic. However, as this book is part of a spin-off series, and with earlier books in the series introducing other characters, it was a bit hard to keep track of everyone. Combined with the French passages, these aspects disrupted my reading experience. But apart from that, it was a decent read.

Thank Youu LoveNotes PR for providing me with the ARC.

This was my first time reading from this author, and while I did end up DNF-ing it at around 40%, I still wanted to share my honest thoughts.

The book started off pretty well and caught my attention in the beginning, but as I kept reading, I felt like it shifted into being all spice with very little plot development. I personally don’t mind spice at all—in fact, I enjoy it! But here it felt a bit too much and became repetitive without another storyline to balance it out. Because of that, I struggled to stay engaged and eventually decided to put it down.

Even though this one wasn’t for me, I really appreciate the opportunity to read it, and I’m definitely open to checking out more of Scarlett Avery’s books in the future to see if another story might click better with me.

Thank you to Love Notes PR and Scarlett Avery for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Arc review.💋🖤
I’d love to thank the author for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC.
Before we start, I know I’m late to the party, BUT better late than never.🤗

Okay, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I love myself a forbidden love trope, it’s gets me, and it pulls at my heartstrings. And when I tell you, I was hooked. The way this story was written out.🥴♥️ I love the characters, the backstory was bittersweet. There’s a good tension, an amazing plot. The spice and character development between these characters were chef’s kiss amazing.💋💋 The way these characters collided, the way the connected and the way they share their love was so beautiful. And hot.💋🥴
Overall, I enjoyed this book so much, everything about this was amazing. I can’t wait for what Scarlett has for us next.💋♥️ Babes, you got me obsessed.💋💋🖤

Gage definitely surpasses all of Lily’s previous chaperones. And he definitely ends up becoming an amazing late 21st birthday present to herself!

Her trip to Los Angeles was an eye opener which allowed her to enjoy some freedom away from her overbearing father, who has mapped out her journey in life. It also helps that she has Gage as her tour guide.

I loved how the sisterhood welcomes Lily with wide open arms in L.A. And of course, Gage soon becomes the main attraction in the city, tempting her to stay there forever with him.

It was fun to see so many characters from the previous series appearing here. Overall, this was a good read with just the right mix of sweetness, angst and spice.

Thank you LoveNotes PR and Scarlett Avery for an arc of Damaged Moguls!!

I enjoyed this book and definitely thought the spice between Gage and Lily was some of the hottest that I’ve read in a minute! That being said, it did feel like a majority of the book was spice, to the point where I was like “dang again already??” That’s no shade on the book, I think it more so depends on the reader and if you’re in the mood for that or not. I also thought it was a little strange that Gage jumped into a dom/sub relationship with Lily without really having a conversation about it. Overall, I thought the book was very steamy and also had a lot of cute moments from our brooding MMC. (3.5 ⭐️ rounded up to 4 because Goodreads🙄)

"𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗹" is book 4 in 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. This story follows Lily, who goes on a work trip from NYC to LA, where she unexpectedly discovers herself and shares unforgettable moments with Gage, a broody billionaire. Initially meant to be temporary, everything changes when Lily not only finds love but also forges meaningful friendships that fill the void left by her absent father.

𝗚𝗮𝗴𝗲 had always kept his emotions guarded, but Lily managed to break down his walls. She became important in his life, transforming his world, a development that I found adorable. Both characters deserved the love they found in each other. Additionally, the close-knit group of friends that surrounded Gage and Lily. That being said, this book is probably the spiciest in the series and I was here for it! Gage and Lily have amazing chemistry!

The cherry on top was the exceptional duet narration by 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲 and 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗲, who truly brought these characters to life. Overall, if you're a fan of billionaire romances and stories with a focus on found family, this audiobook is sure to steal your heart!

Thank you to 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 and 𝗠𝗟𝗔 for this audio copy. All thoughts shared are my own.

My first time reading Scarlett Avery and not my last. Gage Hollingsworth, broody billionaire, layered, deep, bodyguard to Lily, as a favor to her father as she tours California. Lily has a complicated relationship with her father, he’s controls most of her moves. She is seeking her independence. Her father does not count on the chemistry between Gage and Lily. Gage treats lily with the affection she craves.

What I did not expect was the passion, vulnerability and forbidden attraction. Add in the angst and I was hooked, the writing was pulling me in. This steamy romance was a bit longer than I normally read, but I still read it quickly.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Lily may be only 21, she has been through a lot in her 21 years. The only thing she truly wants is to be wanted by her Dad and 1/2 brothers to feel like she belongs. She is result of an affair and they don’t let her forget it. Now in walks the brooding sexy bodyguard her Father hired and everything goes not according to her Fathers plan. Oh Gage the broody bodyguard with a completely closed off heart…did I mention a hot sexy broody billionaire? Will she be able to break through that barrier? Gages past is what keeps him from giving more than a great night in bed…with his subs. Will Lily be able to understand Gages sexual kinks? What happens when an expended stay leads to a possible oops?

I really enjoyed this book. Lily felt fragile in the beginning but also strong underneath. Gage was pure alpha energy, dominant and protective. Their chemistry was intense, the kind where every look and every touch felt charged. I liked how author mixed passion with vulnerability, because under all the dirty talk and tension there was also healing and growth. Both Lily and Gage had broken parts of themselves and it was sweet how they found comfort together. I closed the last page with a smile and a blush. Thank you so much to the author and Love Notes PR for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving an honest review.

Whoever wrote the blurb hadn't read the book. Here, I said it.
I was expecting something else in the story and also when it comes to emphasized tropes. And to be honest, what I got wasn't a bad book, but it was a different book than suggested and to me it was missing something.
It's an age gap romance with a virgin FMC and MMC who has walls built around his heart. It's rather spice heavy with exploring D/s dynamics and a lot of the relationship is built on lust - at least for the first half of the book, if not a little longer.
I liked the more emotional layer of the story with the scars both of the main character have and with realizing who the real family is.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
