Stone: A Dark Feminine Rage Novella

Rate this book
They left me for dead—bloodied, broken, and sinking beneath the surface of a black river.

But I didn't die.

I rose.

Rescued by the school’s tattooed outcast with too many secrets and eyes like a storm, I'm alive, but forever changed.

The girl they tried to kill is gone.

In her place stands something darker, something sharper--something born of rage.

The boys who ruined me think they got away with it.

This is war.

This time, I'm the predator.

They thought they could silence me.

Destroy me.

They forgot that wild things don’t drown.

Now they'll learn, too late, that gods have mercy . . .

I don't.

"Inspired by the myth of Medusa, Stone is a searing tale of feminine fury, resurrection, and the haunting beauty of vengeance."

Where Should I Start???Hmmm....Ok How about In rating ABSOFUCKINKLUTELY ♾️/5 😭🤌🏻😼......

Plot:

Two guys raped a girl and wants to kill her so their so called "reputation" will not affect but luckily her first kiss Man helped her and takes the Revenge WITH Her😈❤️‍🔥(And if that's not love I don't know what else)

My Thoughts:

Is that even a question??? I adore this novella so much like i literally cried and passed for few minutes to recover from the rape scene especially the stillness of her and I was like leave the poor girl you fucking mother fuckers And then when she tried to not get herself killed by them i almost thought that this is how they are gonna die by her cuz she fought them with bleeding under there and wires around her wrist....But the mother fuckers somehow got her and pushed her into river but that's what they done wrong.....she reborn again with so much attitude and strength and the mind of wants to kill them.....And when she did at the end i literally imagine like I was with there and enjoyed the whole fucking killing scene with my own eyes and I was screaming in my head like "YES GIRL, CRUSH THEIR THING, NICELY CHOP IT..." And when she's done I kinda exhale after that and i seriously don't know how long I hold my breath....And also i didn't even believe the MMC from start I don't know why but I didn't, even at the end I was like "Ok, he's gonna be a criminal too and she's gonna kill him too" but what i didn't expect was how adorable green flag he is and at the I end i started to love him....😭♾️🤌🏻

And also @authore.l.emkey please tell that briar and Sebastian married in future with two or more little nuggets and safe them with their whole life😭😭

I understand that this is a short story, this was quite entertaining but a fairly average short story.

Briar has a traumatic experience, which Chase and Felix inflicted on her and she almost dies. She is shortly saved by Sebastian, which she has a crush on and kissed at a party shortly before the traumatic event happened.

Within a matter of hours, Briar has a complete personality transplant, begins a new relationship and skips all elements of grief linked to her traumatic event.

Later into the story, she returns to the school where her best friend, Sadie, completely buys the lies she fed her. Just going back to Sadie at the party, if Briar had disappeared why did her best friend not go and find her? Would she not have suspected something happened a bit more? I mean Briar was screaming and her best friend didn’t her recognise her screams? Shame on Sadie.

After Chase & Felix were murdered by Briar, with Sebastian as an accomplice, she had a cry but that’s about as much emotion other than her being a stone, which I guess is what the book is about given the title.

The writing was good, but the actual story itself I think could have warranted a longer book, more emotional growth in Briar’s character and some more throughout plots against Felix & Chase, but that’s just my opinion.

The beauty of Medusa’s revenge.

Reading Stone felt like stepping into a storm. It’s short, but it hits hard. The emotional intensity doesn’t give you much room to breathe..and I think that’s the point.

What stood out most to me was the portrayal of rage. It wasn’t glamorized, and it wasn’t minimized. It felt earned. The transformation arc felt symbolic, especially with the Medusa undertones, turning victimhood into something powerful and feared.

There were moments that were difficult to read because of the subject matter, but that discomfort added to the emotional weight of the story. If you’re looking for something soft or romanticized, this isn’t it. But if you’re drawn to dark feminine narratives where power is reclaimed in unapologetic ways, this novella will stay with you.

Loved everything about it. Can't go wrong with a good feminine rage story. I was nearly crying at the dedication and hooked by the first page
