7 books2 followersHaving raised two beautiful and successful daughters, I start my day in the darkness of predawn, before most others are thinking about their first cup of coffee. Working daily on my novels, I find the quiet of pre-morning to be the most productive time to write. I have persevered cold wet winters in Oregon, but now weather the warmer temperatures in Lake Havasu City, Arizona integrating both into my novels. I work full time at Foxx media. I write every day and for as long as I can. I have a handsome husband John and my muse, a grey 22-pound tabby feline that thinks he is human.
It wasn’t until a little later in life I gained my Associates Degree in psychology. This is a huge help for me when it comes building personalities for my characters. Immediately after accomplishing that degree, I got my Associates Degree in Administration of Justice learning the fundamentals of law and social behavior. Accepted into the California Highway Patrol Academy in 1997 gave me more in-depth knowledge of what it feels like to be a woman in a strictly regulated and challenging, mostly men, atmosphere. Training both mentally and physically, I gained knowledge in weapons, use of force, tactical discipline and so much more. Though I did not proceed as an officer of the law, this practice combined with my life experiences gave me the basic knowledge I needed to build my novels. I am working to complete the fourth book in my series.
