About the author

I am the author of the Alexa O’Brien Huntress and the Rebel Heart series. I write urban fantasy that is dark and gritty with a twist of romance and horror but which is ultimately about people in dark places discovering who they are and what they’re made of.

I’ve been writing since the age of 9 when I had a Christmas themed short story published in the local town paper. A lover of rock music, vampires and muscle cars, I’m a dreamer who always secretly wanted to be a rockstar.

I’ve wanted more Casper since seeing him in Storm and Rebel’s story, book 1. And while I really enjoyed book 1, I LOVED Casper.
I don’t even know where to start with him. He’s dark, deadly and mysterious because he never talks, just signs. And when it comes to Luna he’s possessive and his protectiveness over her had my heart fluttering! I loved seeing how he’d do anything to keep her safe. There were lines he wouldn’t, and didn’t cross for her. The most surprising thing about him was that he watched The Golden Girls! That I never would’ve guessed. And he had my heart in a damn puddle and had me swooning when he showed up to pick Luna up for their date and he had a bouquet of flowers.
Luna was a great female character. She was the perfect match for Casper and I loved how she was so quick to want to learn sign language for Casper.
There wasn’t a dull or boring moment in this book. It had the romance, the OTT possessiveness from the guys, some danger and threats, and the spice was great too.
All in all this book was an excellent read!

😂😂 we return to Hornyville USA, a town owned by some 19yr old organ thieves. Well, they don’t actually own the town but they act like they do. (Possible spoilers ahead)

I’m not even sure why I’m still reading this series because it’s so OTT. Casper is our quiet hero. Luna, naturally is BFFs with the two h’s from previous books. The friendship circle is now complete. All the guys have now hooked up with all the BFFs. 🤷‍♀️

The plot starts basic- Luna’s ex gets released from prison. The ex wants Luna back. Casper promises to protect her.

There is an on page gRape of the h by her toxic ex. The ex does it in front of Casper (Casper is locked up) Casper breaks free but he’s too late to save her from being gRaped.
That causes Casper to spiral (he was already suicidal)
Casper does make a suicide attempt in this book after this because of his guilt. It’s really sad.

So I’d definitely check the TWs before going into this book.

I haven't been looking forward to this story since Rebel! I knew Casper would be my favorite of the Kings. He easily was. And Luna was the perfect match for him. Definitely check your triggers before going into this one. I feel like this one was most likely the darkest one in the series by far. However the relationship between these two characters was beautiful! My favorite thing would have to be Luna learning sign language for him so they could talk without using his phone!

Not as good as Rebel but

I like Casper. Something about the strong, dominate, silent type. Still a good read and worth it to continue the series. I look forward to Dom’s story next.

Trigger warnings for sure needed on this one. Well written storyline, believable characters Casper has my heart. Medium spice medium unhingedness from our MMC. I got questions about Luna lol 🖤🔥😝
