When Anthony goes on vacation, Aiden is left alone to run their business. When Aiden decides to hire the young and bubbly Leah to help with the work load, he thinks that he has everything under control. What he doesn't know, is that she has a plan that is set to turn his and April's world upside down...

I have been waiting almost 2 years for this book to come out.... I was surprised when it was a Novella, but was still excited for more Aiden and April and the gang! Everything just seemed to move to quick, rushed and jumbled all together...
If it was a novella I think instead of trying to throw in a storyline, just give is the years after the last book... Wedding, kids, family whatever that may be.... Ending was kind of sudden, hopefully their is more to April and Aiden through others in the series....

I liked the concept behind it....but some things just went wrong for me...

-When it is a novella or even a novel you DON'T include over 20% from the last book itself . I don't care for what .



-When you pick up a concept like that , you have to let it develop for a while , it needed to be a novel and not a novella . It was too short for us to really be satisfied with ...well anything .

-SO MANY CHARACTERS!! . This book was not released along with the first book . So how the hell are we expected to remember anyone except the main characters ??



Maybe the important supporting characters . But there were like over 20 all at once . And for someone like me who read over 300 books last year ?? Yeah... not an easy feat .

-How was the hero so stupid as to lie to her after 8 YEARS of a relationship ?? And I'm sure all those years were not exactly easy and he must have learnt something about the heroine in those years . How did he end up making such an asinine mistake ??
I mean the heroine was pretty understanding . Even after she saw the pictures she still trusted him . So obviously , I'm sure after 8 fucking years he should have known she would be understanding . But obviously he didn't .

I loved reading this book and catching up on the whole gang. I still love Aiden and April!! Wow, I sure didn't see some of the twists and turns but it all made sense once you figured it out. I love that April and Aiden got their HEA but I still want more. I think Crystal needs her own book :) This was a great follow up to book 1.

OMG!! I loved the suspense truly kept me on the edge of my seat!! There were times I literally was holding my breath! I love how all of these characters are still together and are family!! Sharlay has come up with a thrilling romantic novelette that keeps you in suspense right through to the happy finish. After the easy pace of Pretend #1 this story is excitement it's self. I have come to appreciate what a good writer she is and this book is definitely worth all its 5* given.

This is much better than the first book, Pretend.
It has a weak beginning.
