The novels in author Wendy Bayne’s series, Crimes Against the Crown, are always filled with adventure and this one is no exception. In fact, I couldn’t put it down. As usual, I loved seeing many of the characters return to aid Miles and Lissa’s work for The Agency. This time the challenges involved the Queen’s safety, famous works of art, some marital problems, and an interesting character named Davinia Cartwright who is reported to be Miles’ old flame. I kept wondering if she would turn out to be friend or foe. Thrilling and well written, Ms. Bayne’s “The Test” kept me engaged and turning the pages and I highly recommend it!
