I read this collection of animal poems with my son. We thought some were good and some were not!

This squeaked in at three stars, basically out of respect to the better poems in the book. Most of the poems seemed fairly ordinary, and too simplistic. Maybe its just been too long since I've read poetry for younger children. Off hand, I can't think of any poems that used meter, which was disappointing for me. This anthology did include a number of poems written by children and some of these were quite good.
