The Cost of Her is the kind of novel that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go. I didn’t expect to be so emotionally wrecked by a story like this—but M.L. Hancock has written something truly unforgettable. Every scene pulses with intensity, and the characters feel so real, so raw, that I found myself holding my breath more times than I can count.

What stands out most is the way this book handles trauma, trust, and survival. It doesn’t sugarcoat anything, but it also doesn’t exploit pain for drama.
