This book was SO HOT and a reminder of how much I love I.M.’s writing. Colt won me over immediately, who doesn’t love an unaliver (fictional) with noble intentions. Colt has been harboring feelings for Hailey for as long as he’s known her and she hates him because of a misunderstanding from high school. When she accidentally sends him some spicy 🎥 his restraint snaps and he replies as Jax and becomes her D•m and omgggggg the spice when they meet up. Daddy Colt will rewire your whole brain. I really loved the way Jax/Colt helped Hailey to finally meet her needs and how her encounters with Jax ended up changing her relationship with Colt. There’s also a whole subplot about a different unaliver that was really great and it was funny how Hailey used her vast knowledge of horror movies as her compass for when things weren’t right. The relationship between Hailey and Colt is a long time coming and it isn’t a straight line to get there but everything is worth it in the end. I really loved this so much and I look forward to whatever is next in this series!

This is the first book I’ve read by IM Wraith and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This was unlike other ‘dark’ romances I’ve read, which was a welcome change. Colton and Hailey are the MCs in this story. Colton is dark, broody, and obsessed with Hailey. Hailey, to put it quite plainly, hates Colton for something he took the blame for but didn’t do.
Through a texting mishap, these two begin a relationship, although Hailey doesn’t know it’s Colton she is interacting with. Colton uses his texting persona to gain Hailey’s trust and for them to get to know each other. I enjoyed the banter between these characters - Hailey definitely could hold her own, and I love that in an FMC.
I enjoyed this dark, enemies to lovers story, and I look forward to reading more from this author.

This book delivers on the spicy and dark romcom in the description. Colt is 10/10 and would literally do anything for Hailey. I personally skipped the chapter describing torture done by the MMC but does not involve the FMC. If you’re looking for 10/10 dark spice this is it!
