In this steamy companion to The Certainty of Deception, McKenzie Evans struggles with the impromptu return of Andrew Wise into her life. Determined to show him that he can’t just waltz in and sweep her off her feet, McKenzie uses the power of her sexual prowess to command the man who shattered her heart only months earlier. Conflicted by emotions, she struggles with the ramifications of past decisions and future consequences of current actions. Lost in passion and regret, McKenzie toes the line between love and hate, forgiveness and bitterness, but most of all, the possibility of once again losing herself to someone who will only serve to hurt her in the end.

Wow, just wow. I remember reading the Certainty of Deception and wishing I had more details about the particular scene this outtake refers to. And GOD did we get more details- wonderfully explicit details. If you have read the Certainty of Deception, you MUST MUST MUST purchase this outtake. It provides us with a much better understanding of where Mickie was at (mentally, emotionally, and psychologically) with regard to her feelings for Drew. I feel I understand her a lot more as a person and a character as a result of this wonderfully tantalising outtake Jeanne has provided us. I would say more, but I wouldn't want to ruin it for you and let's face it, I couldn't do this exquisite piece of writing justice- I'm still recovering ;)

Hot! Steamy! Sexy! Intense! This short story is full of erotica and intensity. Don't get confused-there is a reason this one starts on chapter 11.5. I was a little confused by this so I contacted the author and she explained. This story is an outtake from her previous story, The Certainty of Deception. In other words, it's like the deleted scenes chapter and it is full of excitement, albeit rather short. Still enjoy it for what it is and know that the writing is excellent.

A fantastic and sexy companion piece!
This is a short story that shows us what happens - in erotic detailing - when Drew goes to Mickie's home. She's such a mess, she loves Andrew and hates him at the same time, and it's great to have this peek into Mickie's thoughts in a story that's told strictly from Drew's point of view.

The exceptional writing by this author will leave you breathless and begging for more.

This is a must have!

Mickie's POV is freaking hot.
Not just hot, this outtake is smokin'.
Who knew getting inside Mickie's head would be so delicious?
Drew shows up at Mickie's place and she as much as she wants to hate him, she just plain wants him more.
And she gets him, in a highly detailed, sultry read that shows us how hot things can get between Drew and Mickie.
This is a must read if you've read The Certainty of Deception, trust me you won't want to miss this little addition!

This went from hot and demanding to slow and sexy! Loved being able to read from Mickie's point of view. The way she took control was right on point and sexy!!!
