"Why don't you come down to Provincetown? Quit your job, pack your bags, lock up the flat, and hop on the ferry."In comedy, timing is almost everything. Here, the pacing has been punched up (it was no slouch previously). And the wit skates across the surface as if on ice:
"The utter stupidity of that idea has considerable appeal for me."
"What power do you have that induces reasonable homosexuals to give performances that would reduce Tallulah Bankhead to a rank Method actress?"What I appreciated most with this entry is the way it builds - which is ultimately to a point that I found rather ingenious... since it ties up the whole plot in one fell swoop, at one specific location, on one very special occasion. Things fall into place like the frenzied but final resolution of a French farce.
