Oh, I absolutely loved Reaper's and Cian's story. Both warriors of their own times. A veil separates the two worlds. The modern world of Reaper andΒ the one of Irish myths, legends and magic. The one where Cian lives... And when these two worlds collide we get this beautifully written story. The Gra Crois.Β "I've spentΒ thousands of years waiting for my Gra Croi".Β
ThisΒ story's a rollercoaster of emotions. My heart ached for Reaper. It's not easy to escape your past. I love the banter, the found family, the world building and all the magic, the Irish myths. Oh, and the warm waterfall...Β "I just want to cradle him until he remembers how to breath again"
Operation Fuego is book 3 in the Operation Vulcano series and I strongly recommendΒ you read it in order. I read it in one sitting and I still can't get it out of my mind. If you like PNR, shifters, an action packed story, a HEA and a bit of magic, then this book is for you.Β

amazing storytelling, rich in detail and fantastic execution

Magic, legends, and a brotherhood whoβve been waiting for their High King!β
Annabella Stone writes vividly and meticulously about those who have fought and brotherhood of soldiers, the tight loyalty of the unit and their commitment to each other in her many terrific military series.
But this is my favorite. Stoneβs Operation Volcano series combines her Special Forces military forces storytelling with a mirror realm of mythological Irish warriors , two sets of believable soldiers and tight brotherhood of warriors who find their hearts love. Their GrΓ‘ CroΓ. One from each side who will battle for the other.
This is a military action story and these men, whether they are soldiers, snipers or a Hound of Fionn, see action on the battlefield. Guns and swords, teeth and bombs, bloody and realistic in its scope and its ability to convey the sounds and chaos of battle.
Reaper, Number four of the Special Forces unit, has been hiding a deeply personal secret, one that has scarred him physically and emotionally. An abusive relationship from his recent past.
So during his teamβs stay in TΓr na nΓg, when Hound of the High King of the Fianna, Cian Mac Dian Cecht, tells Reaper that heβs his GrΓ‘ CroΓ, or fated mate, thatβs the last thing Reaper wants to hear.
All the ways these two come together, the struggles, the respect, and the long journey to love is such an amazing read. It includes battles, naturally, a new paranormal aspect for Reaper that I hope is more fully explored in the future, and hints for the next couple coming forward.
Itβs richly told, full of fantastic details, especially in the great halls of Fionn, when the the smells of venison hangs heavy over the whole room, the sounds of music and the drums send the blood rushing, and the reader is transported into another world.
Just incredible.
Donβt miss out on the Irish Guide and the information the author has on the characters and series at the beginning.
A fantastic book, grand series and one Iβm highly excited to recommend.

Dun Fianna, Tir na n0g , Ireland. Mikey βReaperβ Rodrigues, a member of Seal Team Volcano, is holding up a wall during the festivities in the hall of King Fionn Mac Cumhaill. They been there four days since Commander Kevin βViperβ Dareβs mate transported them there from an Exploding Volcano and brining Fiann with them. Considering Fionn had been trapped in tone under the volcano, his warriors were certainly celebrating. Trace Reeves, their CIA liaison had been left behind in the mortal world for five millennia, waiting on this event. As the strongest of the Hounds of the High King, he was able, with the help of their druid archologist, to bring the team here while he and his wolf reconnected with his people. Reaper could see the brilliant blue mating marks that swirled up his and Juiceβs arm and shoulder, as well as Viperβs and Wardβs. As he turned to leave he was confronted by a 6β4β warrior who suddenly appeared at his side and made advances, saw the mating mark start to swirl up the warriorβs arm and wanted no part of it. He was not about to let fate or destiny decide his life, especially with his shameful past, but Cian had other ideas.
Operation Fuego is a story of the veil between the worlds cracking enough to blend modern Special Forces warfare and their Operators on their side of the veil and the stories of the legendary Irish kings, of The Hounds of the High King, the oral histories and myth in Ireland 1000 years before the Celts. Incredible world and character building in this series. Annabella Stone is back bringing back her Irish heritage to life and giving us more myths and legends.
Here she gives us a story about a wounded man, not showing outwards what is going on inside him and why he refuses the idea of a fated mate.
This book is not as action packed as others but Reaper's and Cian's story don't need the fast pathed action I normally love from this author. These two have plenty to unpack and their road to a HEA is quite difficult and has their twists and turns.
Saying that, we still have plenty of scenes where the guys show that they aren't stopping to do justice and to protect what is theirs, beyond the veil or not, with guns, swords and claws.
I like them together, Reaper needs someone to stand beside him, to help him see that he is perfect the way he is.
We find out what was hinted about Reaper in the first book and how it fits into the Fianna storyline.
There are hints who will be next and I can't wait for Ms Stone to tell us how they will get out of a predictment.

Reaper has his heart locked down in a bunker surrounded with concertina wire, land mines, automatic lasers and machine guns. He has severe relationship PTSD and refuses to believe he has the capacity to love again. I canβt say why, because, spoilers.
Cian is a Hound of the High King. A warrior brother of Trace (who is Reaperβs teammate, and the subject of book one of the series). Cian is Reaperβs GrΓ‘ CroΓ. His heart love. Reaper doesnβt want a GrΓ‘ CroΓ.
Annabella once again sends us on a journey into the mystical Irish realm of the Fianna where warriors of old meet modern Special Forces operators and bonds form. Twists and turns and surprise plot lines will leave you unable to stop reading.
This is so far my favorite book in the series. Reaperβs tale will have you crying at one point, then laughing the next. (The TV!!!) Reaper and Cian are 15/10 best couple of the series!!
Love this book. Cannot recommend enough. Get the series and read, read, read. Waiting breathlessly for the next one.

Reaper thinks they be his love ever having another relationship, but Cian has different ideas. Once the connection is made the clock starts ticking. Reaper tries everything, except he won't let anyone take Cian against his will.
I enjoyed this book and think that it fits nicely in the series. I like the struggle, but also the acceptance once Reaper gets out of their way. These two are good together. They fight for each other even more than they fight each other. Neither one will let anyone else hurt their mate.
I do wish that we got some more time with them when things are calm, but I'm sure we'll get more of them in the next book.

Operation Fuego is filled with Irish lore, legends and myth. A very relectant Reaper refuses to acknowledge his feelings or the draw he has to his GrΓ‘ CroΓ, Cian. He's "been there, done that" once with another only to be humiliated and demeaned at every turn. But circumstances take a turn and Reaper only knows that he must be by his mate's side or they both die. Ms. Stone throws in a late twist that will surprise and enchant you.

Warriors and Soulmates, the then and the now collide in another epic story bringing two worlds together. Reaper and Cian might not have known it, but they were made for each other and nothing, not even an obstacle from Reaper's past will keep them apart. Loved this book from the opening pages and while you need to believe in the PNR world, you never have to doubt love.

Third in the series. PNR based characters on Irish myths with modern day SEALs thrown in, some of whom are also paranormal myth based. Interesting to follow the series. Glad the author includes reminder of who's who in the beginning. Prime writing and would highly recommend any of the warrior series the author writes - there are quite a few. Worth it!

Like Nothing Else
This book will tear your heart out and put it back together in the best possible way. There were so many unexpected emotions, but there HEA was worth every twist. Ms. Stone outdid herself with this one!!

This is book three of the Operation Vvolcano series and it is another great addition this is Reaper and Cianβs action packed story and it is packed full of Irish myths and legends. To me this series is definitely better read in order. Great read.

Loved this. Reaper and Cian are awesome. Two warriors with two different trauma experiences from 2 different worlds learning to live and love each other.

It was ok
I like these books but not quite as much as her military books. I wanted Derek to suffer more before being killed. It was an ok story.

fierce and fun
Annabella again weaves the fierceness of a SEAL team with the fantasy of warriors from another realm. This was fun and entertaining like all her books.
