Vajon KÉT SZTÁR is megfér a tehetségkutatón? Hamarosan olvashatod Bubi következő kalandját!
My 6 and 3 year old sons love this series and are so sad book #5 doesn’t come out until September! What could be better than a cute pug who farts when he’s nervous and has such a silly name as Baron Von Bubbles? My kids are hooked!
A cute "Diary of a [fill-in-the-blank]" story, of severalsimilartitles, featuring a pug. It's simple enough that new readers can catch up easily with little confusion, other than maybe why Duchess isn't included.* It's fun and easy to read, though it has that kind of stiff art style I don't like where the characters are almost ALWAYS drawn face-on with little pose variance (particularly noticeable in Duchess, given her acrobatics) that suggests the artist only learned how to draw one way.
I guess it's a little like Egyptian wall paintings in that respect, though those ALSO look stiff as a result.
Otherwise, a good wholesome read for dog and cat (and pesky squirrel??) fans!
*She is ALSO Bella's pet and just got overlooked in the hubbub of putting together the talent show?
Solid choice for 1st-3rd graders who need a bit more than a picture book. Pug is a likable pet who keeps a diary of his activities with owner Bella and humans and other animals from the neighborhood, this time, focusing on a block party that includes a pet talent show. The series is from Scholastic’s very successful Branches line of chapter books for elementary aged readers and boasts brightly colored illustrations that spread across the page with sparse text in a large font. Situations are lighthearted and have characters from diverse backgrounds doing activities that are highly relatable to the target audience. Readers in my 4th and 5th grade library recognize the Branches logo from their early elementary library and find it again on Eerie Elementary, Notebook of Doom, Dragon Masters etc. that are little more difficult.
Bub's owner Bella has decided to recruit pets and pet owners in the neighborhood for a pet talent show for the block party. Bub is feeling mostly ok about his act, but he's nervous for some of the other pets. And then Duchess wants in on his act. Will this talent show be a disaster or a roaring success?
A cute twist on the talent show with only pets in the act. The illustrations on every page and the large font graphic novel/full text blend help this go by quickly. Hand this to animal lovers and reluctant readers.
Bella is holding a talent show for pets and Bubs is more than excited because he gets to wear a costume and skateboard. Duchess, the not so friendly cat in the house, has cool tricks but doesn't care to be in the show, or that's what Pugs thought. When Pugs realizes that Duchess actually does want to be in the show, but no one ever asked her to audition, he also learns that Duchess' feelings were hurt. He tries to right his wrong, but then will that totally ruin the show?
I liked how Bubs demonstrates doing the right thing and trying to help Duchess out.
Pug Baron von Bubbles (Bub) is back for more adventures with his owner, Bella. Bella wants to put on a pet talent show, and it is up to Bubs to perform in the opening act! But Bella's cats Duchess seems sad to be left out. Is there room for Bubs and Duchess in the show?
Another cute addition to this series. Perfect for fans of Owl Diaries or Unicorn Diaries.
The story is just as cute as the illustrations. There are at least a few times in each book that my kids (6y and 3y) can't stop laughing. It's exactly what you want in an early reader chapter book!
My daughter read the vast majority of this to me when I lost my voice. Bub is in a talent show. The cat gets stage fright. Nutz attempts to steal treats again. Fun story.
Pug's Got Talent is a super awesome book that will make you believe in the power of imagination and having fun. It's all about Bella, who organizes a pet talent show, and Pug, who can't wait to wow the audience with his skateboarding skills and fabulous fashion sense. But wait, there's another performer, Duchess, who has some impressive skills too. Is there room for two stars in one show? You have to read the book to find out!
The really, really cool part in this book is in Chapter 6. It's when Duchess performs these incredible moves that will leave you amazed. It's so thrilling to see her talent shine on stage!
One important thing I learned from this book is that imagination is a powerful tool. Just like in Magic Tree House, when Jack was scared and had stage fright, he imagined himself actually being in the place where the play was taking place. He imagined being in the forest, and he did amazing! So, when you're on stage or doing something new, don't think about being nervous or worried. Instead, let your imagination take you to a place where you can have fun and enjoy the moment. That's the number one thing!
Pug's Got Talent is a fun-filled and inspiring book that will make you want to showcase your own talents and have a blast. The message of embracing imagination, having fun, and being supportive of others shines brightly throughout the story. I highly recommend this book to all kids who enjoy entertainment, creativity, and believing in themselves. So grab a copy, get ready to applaud some amazing performances, and join Bella, Pug, and Duchess on an unforgettable talent show adventure!
I put together an awesome review of this book. Make sure to watch the full version on my YouTube channel! https://youtu.be/MeEg_ogPJMY
