There is something ridiculously addictive about Unholy Sinner.
Lucien and Seraphina completely pulled me in from the start, and I could not look away from their intense, obsession-fueled dynamic. Their relationship is undeniably toxic, but the chemistry between them is so strong that I found myself invested in every interaction.
I also really enjoyed the combination of elite secret society intrigue and the basketball element, which gave the story a unique atmosphere. Seraphina was a standout for me because she never allowed herself to be overshadowed by Lucien’s intensity. I do wish we had gotten a little more insight into their shared history, as it would have added even more depth to their connection.
This book is dark, dramatic, and packed with emotional tension. While the plot felt somewhat predictable at times, the addictive romance and high-stakes dynamics kept me turning the pages. If you enjoy possessive, morally grey heroes and strong heroines who can hold their own, this is definitely worth picking up.
The tension, obsession, and emotional chaos made this quite an enjoyable read.

at first i was literally frozen in fear because for a little while the book makes you think they’re family… but then you find out they’re not, so read without fear haha.

i loved everything about the secret society, the family dynamics, but especially the way he always made her his priority. no matter what decision he had to make, he always knew it would be with her in his life and i loved that. i cannot stand indecisive men.
i had never read a dark romance centered around basketball before and honestly it felt so refreshing. i kept imagining him being ridiculously tall next to her haha. and all the scenes with her wearing his jerseys and him being the star basketball player were so easy to picture in my head. i loved that whole dynamic.
i already have so many theories about the upcoming couples and i desperately need the best friend’s book next.

I love a dark mafia romance with a little bit of taboo action.
They both “found out” that she is his half sibling only after they become incredibly infatuated with each other, they haven’t spoken for years and now…she’s back and he still hasn’t gotten over his obsession. Lucien Devereux is the definition of a morally black mmc who will stop at NOTHING to get the girl, so you have been warned! But there’s also nothing he wouldn’t do to for Seraphina, whether it’s to protect her or make her the happiest cult wife in the world. This man is soo unhinged and is perfect for the Zade Meadows girlies out there. The storyline was good, but in my opinion still pretty basic apart from the forbidden half siblings thing. There’s a major cult storyline and the secret society dark academia vibe was on point. But there’s also nothing plot twists just didn’t get me all too much and didn’t really stand out to me. There also isn’t much development of the characters apart from their romance, and I loved how the banter at the start turned into this fierce protectiveness of each other. One thing I do wish is that we got more of their past together as it would really sr us up to connect more with the characters. But overall book was a fun and spicy read and I give it a 4/5

Lucien is the definition of an obsessed MMC. Morally gray, controlling, possessive, and completely gone for Seraphina. Meanwhile, Seraphina gives as good as she gets. She refuses to be anyone's pawn and constantly pushes back against Lucien, which made their banter and chemistry some of my favorite parts of the book.
The Black Crown Society was such an interesting backdrop. I loved the secret society elements, the rituals, the power plays, and all the mysteries surrounding the Saints and Sinners. The basketball aspect was also a refreshing change from the hockey and football romances I usually pick up.
I do wish we had gotten a little more of Lucien and Seraphina's history on page. Their past was referenced often, and seeing more of those moments would have made their connection hit even harder. There were also a few plot threads I'm hoping get expanded on in future books.
Overall, this was an addictive read filled with obsession, tension, manipulation, drama, and a hero who would absolutely burn the world down for his woman. If you enjoy secret societies, possessive MMCs, touch-her-and-die energy, and dark romance with plenty of banter, you'll want to add this one to your TBR.

I’ve been really excited about the Black Crown Society series! Forbidden romance, taboo vibes, secret societies… basically all my favorite things wrapped into one book. And this one throws basketball into the mix too.
Lucien and Seraphina have a complicated history. They were involved years ago, but then she disappeared without a word. Three years later, she’s suddenly back and neither of them has forgotten what happened between them.
And then there’s the whole half-siblings situation. 🫣 Before anyone panics, there is absolutely no blood relation. Lucien figures that out pretty quickly after secretly having DNA testing done. The problem? He lets Seraphina continue believing they’re related for a while, which definitely adds to the angst, tension, and overall messiness of their relationship.
When Lucien chooses Seraphina to be his “Chosen,” things only get more intense. These two are constantly caught between wanting each other and wanting to destroy each other. The chemistry is undeniable, but their relationship is full of obsession, resentment, possessiveness, and enough tension to keep the pages turning.
I did find myself wishing we got more details about their relationship before she left. I wanted a deeper understanding of what they meant to each other back then. I also felt like the reasons behind her leaving and eventually returning could have been explored a little more because those motivations felt somewhat vague at times.
Overall, if you love toxic love/hate relationships, forbidden romance, secret societies, obsessive heroes, and plenty of drama, this one delivers.

Havoc, you really know how to write a man that leaves a permanent mark on someone because Lucien? Yeah… he was no exception. Somewhere between the threats, the control, the obsession, and the protection, you somehow made me understand that sometimes the things we never would’ve chosen for ourselves end up becoming the very thing we needed most. And honestly? I’d let the Black Crown Society tell me what to do any day of the week.
Lucien, sir… you knew exactly what you were doing from the very beginning. The threats? Perfectly delivered. The possessiveness? Unhinged in the best way. The way you could break down a stubborn woman until she finally gave in? Dangerous. And somehow between making enemies pay, protecting your chosen, dressing her in your jersey, and always staying ten steps ahead of everyone else, you still managed to make yourself impossible not to love. A manipulative chessmaster with devotion buried underneath all that darkness will do it every single time.
And Seraphina? She’s my kind of FMC. A woman who refuses to apologize for taking up space, for being stubborn, for wanting more, for giving in when she chooses to, for being sharp around the edges, for needing help, for having claws and not being afraid to use them. What a ride! Seraphina and Lucien are explosive every time they clash. Two strong personalities, two people raised in the Black Crown society, obsessively attracted to each other. Seraphina didn't want the hand she was dealt but there was no escape. Lucien is the Heir of Black Crown, destined and bred to lead the society. There is so much detail, so many threads to this story and it was incredible! The intricacies of this world unfolded before us so naturally, it kept me on the edge of my seat. The chemistry between them is off the charts. Seraphina is a firecracker and Lucien meets that fire with a smirk and cold control. It was awesome! The basketball component was a fun change from hockey or football. I cannot wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds!

This was a pleasant read. However, it’s hard to rate.
On one hand, there isn’t anything specific I could criticize about this book. It was a quick read, and I enjoyed it. But... that’s it.
Even though I had fun reading Unholy Sinner and it had both sweet and funny moments, it didn’t make me feel any strong emotions.
There wasn’t any moment that made my jaw drop. As for the characters... Lucien was definitely a morally grey MMC, and I enjoyed his character. There were also quotes I highlighted... but I didn’t fall in love with him.
This is NOT a negative review. The concept of this book is great, it’s easy to read, and I enjoyed it. I just didn’t manage to connect with the characters enough to end up as obsessed with them as I usually am.

OMG!! Unholy Sinner is exactly that and more!! This is Seraphina and Lucien’s story filled with secret societies, obsessive and basketball dark romance. Lucien is a protective and obsessed of Seraphina that he would do anything to protect and claim her. Seraphina has been lied to and manipulated into believing something that isn’t true. Together they work to find the truth and slowly drive each other crazy. I love how they both can handle each other and their chemistry is off the charts. I also love the other characters and how protective they are of each other. They will do anything for their twisted HEA. Also that twist in the end!! Omg I need more!!

This book is following Lucien and Seraphina she has been gone for three years and Lucien sees she's back and he is willing to do anything to get her attention. He is making it his mission to see why she's back. Lucien and Seraphina used to be involved and he found out that they were half siblings.
When it is time for The Choosing Ceremony Lucien already knows who he is going to pick because she is His forever and always. When Seraphina gets an invitation to the ceremony she can't believe that he picked her as his chosen. Seraphina is fighting Lucien on everything along the way because she can't get over that they are half siblings. She feels so wrong that she has the feelings that she does about him. She believes it is a sin to feel the way she does about him.
I can't get over their messy and toxic relationship between them. The push and pull between them was everything. Because as much as Seraphina says she hates him deep down she can't get him out of her head. I loved them so much because the way they fight for each other and about each other is wild.
The way this book had me hooked the entire time. I could not put it down because I needed to know what was going to happen next. I was on the edge of my seat whenever I did put my kindle down. I needed to pick it back up immediately because I couldn't get enough of this book and these characters. Let me tell you the spice was 🤤 it was hot and I wast eating it up. I didn't want the book to end because I loved it so much.

I fear secret society books. I read one once that was so over the top uncomfortable that it scarred me of them. So, I mixed with that and thinking Lucien might be another Penn Blackwood, I was not optimistic.
However, I was surprised. Lucien is no Ramsey by any means, but he’s also not as bad as I thought. I don’t really see a connection between him and Seraphina though. I see him caring but she seems cold and maybe that’s just her character.
Overall I’m content with this book. I didn’t hate it and it wasn’t my least favorite.

This was a sinfully intriguing read that takes you on an epic roller-coaster ride that has you hanging on tight, desperately trying to catch your breath and feeling like your pounding heart will beat right out of your chest. Lucien and Seraphina were pure fire! Every interaction they shared burned and their banter was razor-sharp. Exquisite tension, tantalizing twists, juicy drama and thrilling action are all just so yummy and they are combined into a seductive web that is absolutely irresistible.

The tropes and teasers for Unholy Sinners truly didn’t do this book justice. While I think some readers may not enjoy the religious aspect to the story, I actually enjoyed it. It was dirty and filthy and I liked it more than I probably should.
The desire you see between the FMC and the MMC is just insatiable and I (unrealistically) want to see that kind of desire and unfettered devotion in my future man.

Unholy Sinner was my first read by Havoc Wilde and my first dip into sports romance, and it was a super quick, enjoyable read!
I’m a sucker for a secret society and a forced arrangement, and those tropes definitely kept me turning the pages. The basketball element was just kind of there—it didn't really add or take away from the plot, but served as a decent backdrop.
While I liked it overall, it felt like it was missing some depth. A few major plot points—like a three-year time frame when the FMC was gone and the issue with her brother —were brought up but felt a bit glossed over, leaving me with unanswered questions. Because of that, the climax and ending felt like they fizzled out a bit rather than giving that big, high-stakes payoff I was hoping for.
Still, if you love secret societies and forced proximity, it’s definitely a fast and entertaining ride!

Lucian and Seraphina were somehow nothing, yet absolutely everything and more than I expected and wanted in these MCs.
There is a reason Lucian's nickname is based on Satan. And Seraphina? That girl is a Little Sinner through and through.
This book is all about the things we throw into the "absolutely not" pile somehow becoming the exact things we need while we sit there denying every feeling like we're getting paid overtime for it.
These two were wild, sassy, fierce, chaotic, demonic, twisted, dark, and completely perfect for each other.

Their banter, tension, and forbidden push and pull had chemistry radiating off the pages.
Lucien Devereux is THAT man.
Toxic? Absolutely.
Protective? Unhingedly.
Obsessed with Seraphina to the point of destruction? Delicious.
Now would Lucian be a walking restraining order and twelve therapy sessions in real life? Absolutely. But fictional morally black MMC territory? Immediate yes.
His level of possessiveness, obsession, and complete unhinged devotion had me kicking my feet and cheering for behavior I should absolutely not support.
And Seraphina? She was exactly the kind of FMC I love. Strong willed, sassy, stubborn, and fully capable of holding her own. She wasn't some fragile little flower waiting to be saved.
Watching Seraphina slowly melt and begin needing Lucian while Lucian somehow kept his heart dark and twisted yet still loved her in the only way he knew how... possessively, obsessively, protectively... it just worked.
I swear every chapter I changed my mind on who I loved more. Lucian would do something and I'd fold. Then Seraphina would exist and I'd switch teams immediately.
But honestly? Am I surprised Seraphina won me over? Nope. Havoc simply does not miss with FMCs.

These two knew how to keep things VERY interesting.
One thing I love about Havoc books is that you never know what kind of spice she is going to give you. New places. New ideas. New levels of chaos. Somehow she always finds ways to keep it fresh and make me question if I should be blushing this much.
This book was filthy, chaotic, and had me enjoying things that should probably stay between me and my Kindle app.

We’re dropped into this dark secret society/elite college world where Lucien is basically the heir apparent to the Black Crown Society, and his obsession, Seraphina, finally comes back after disappearing for 3 years to finish school.
The problem? They used to be involved… before Lucien found out Seraphina was supposedly his half-sister. And no, not in a “technically step-siblings” kind of way - allegedly ACTUAL half-siblings because Lucien’s father had an affair with Seraphina’s mother. Absolutely wild setup.
Only a handful of people know the truth, and meanwhile Lucien cannot let Seraphina go. The obsession, the tension, the constant push and pull between them? Immediate chaos. Seraphina tries to stay away emotionally, but she’s just as stuck on him as he is on her.
Then we get thrown into the Choosing Ceremony for the Black Crown Society, where the ruling family men select the women they’ll marry to strengthen alliances and bloodlines. Lucien decides he’s choosing Seraphina no matter what because if he can’t have peace, apparently nobody else can have her either. His father is panicking because Lucien knows the “family secret,” and if it gets out it could destroy him within the Society.
Right before the ceremony, Seraphina’s mother finally tells her the truth about her lineage and begs her not to go. Seraphina is devastated, sick over it, and spiraling emotionally. BUT - plot twist - Lucien had secretly run multiple DNA tests beforehand and found out they AREN’T actually related. Somebody lied.
Does he immediately clear things up and save everyone emotional damage? Of course not. This man chooses chaos every single time.
Instead, he keeps the truth to himself, pushes Seraphina to her breaking point, and watches everything implode. Their relationship gets messy, toxic, obsessive, emotional, and honestly kind of feral. There’s angst, longing, hate mixed with obsession, adults trying to manipulate everything, and somehow even a priest getting involved in kidnapping and debauchery because why not at this point?
But underneath all the insanity, Lucien and Seraphina really do ride for each other. Their chemistry is intense, and Seraphina is basically the only person capable of pulling any humanity out of Lucien. Watching him slowly realize he actually cares about someone beyond himself was one of the more interesting parts of the story for me.
This is book one in the Black Crown series, and you can definitely tell these characters/world connect into Havoc Wilde’s larger universe. Some books entertain you. Some books consume every spare thought while you're reading them. Unholy Sinner definitely fell into the second category for me.
This was my second book by Havoc Wilde, and it absolutely won't be my last.
First things first: please check the trigger and content warnings before diving in. This story leans into darker themes, secret societies, obsession, power, and morally grey characters. If those are things you enjoy, you're likely going to have a great time here.
What stood out most to me was the atmosphere surrounding the Black Crown Society. From the very beginning, there is a constant sense of mystery hanging over everything. Every answer seemed to reveal two more questions, and I loved slowly uncovering the layers of this world. The detail was incredible without ever feeling overwhelming, and the society itself felt both fascinating and dangerous.
Then we have Lucien and Seraphina.
These two are pure chaos together in the best possible way.
Seraphina is fiery, stubborn, and determined to push back whenever she can. Lucien, on the other hand, is the type of man who doesn't ask for what he wants. He decides he wants it and immediately assumes it's already his. Their push-and-pull dynamic created so much tension throughout the story, and every interaction felt charged with emotion.
One of my favourite things about Lucien was how completely devoted he was. No matter what was happening around him, Seraphina remained his priority. I have very little patience for indecisive book men, so his unwavering certainty worked for me.
I also loved the basketball aspect of the story. It felt refreshing to see a dark romance centred around a different sport, and it added another layer to Lucien's character. The imagery was so easy to picture, and those moments brought a fun contrast to some of the darker elements of the story.
There was a brief moment early on where I was genuinely nervous about where the story was heading, but thankfully those concerns were addressed as the truth unfolded. After that, I was completely locked in.
The chemistry between Lucien and Seraphina is intense, the secret society intrigue is addictive, and the family dynamics add even more complexity to an already layered story. By the end, I had a notebook full of theories about future books and upcoming couples.
If you enjoy dark academia vibes, secret societies, obsessive heroes, morally grey characters, and romance packed with tension and devotion, I think Unholy Sinner is well worth picking up.

Such a deliciously, dark romance that completely captivated me. At first, I was a bit worried and skeptic, but later we find out, and things get cleared up.
Lucy is a young man obsessed in right away gives “ she’s mine vibes”. He’s so unhinged! With the obsession and manipulation and possessiveness I know it’s toxic, but I was here for it. Serafina was his number one concern she was his priority, putting her first always taken care of her. I loved how this was written, the family dynamics, the messy the unhinged obsession. I was hooked. I love that the sport was centered around basketball/secret Society, her wearing his jersey. 🫶🏻

Such a deliciously, dark romance that completely captivated me. At first, I was a bit worried and skeptic, but later we find out, and things get cleared up.
Lucy is a young man obsessed in right away gives “ she’s mine vibes”. He’s so unhinged! With the obsession and manipulation and possessiveness I know it’s toxic, but I was here for it. Serafina was his number one concern she was his priority, putting her first always taken care of her. I loved how this was written, the family dynamics, the messy the unhinged obsession. I was hooked. I love that the sport was centered around basketball/secret Society, her wearing his jersey. 🫶🏻
If you like your dark romance with an obsessed unapologetic mmc I’d 💯 recommend this book!

UNHOLY HELL! This book does not come to play. I tore through Unholy Sinner in under 24 hours because putting it down simply wasn’t an option. Before anything else: as always read the trigger warnings before beginning this book. If you’re deeply religious or sensitive to taboo themes, there are moments that will have you clutching your crucifix and whispering your prayers at your bedside.
This story dives headfirst into taboo dynamics — stepsibling tension, bully energy, a cult‑like secret society, and an unwilling (but..is she really?) initiate. It’s dark, it’s intense, and it’s absolutely delicious.
The MMC (Lucien) is unhinged, calculating, and unapologetically possessive. He’s always two steps ahead of everyone else and I spent half the book loving him and the other half wanting to see him get arrested.
The FMC (Seraphina) is strong‑willed, fiesty, and yes — occasionally bratty in the best way. She pushes back, even when the odds are stacked against her.
There’s one scene of forced submission (no spoilers) that had me furious with her for caving to him… until I had to admit I probably would have folded too if I were in her shoes. That’s the kind of psychological grip Lucien has. And despite his darkness, the way he took care of her afterwards and protects and defends her throughout the book adds a layer of complexity to him-and their relationship-that kept me hooked. Should these two be in therapy, possibly court‑ordered? Without question. But their beautiful disaster of a relationship is exactly what makes this story such an incredible read!
I devoured this novel. The tension is relentless and the emotional push‑pull between the leads is intense. The spicy scenes are filthy, but I’ll keep it PG here: the chemistry is undeniable, and the dialogue between them is sharp and addictive.
I wanted more — more about their past, more about why Seraphina’s family left, more about her mysterious brother, and definitely more about the Sinners and the Saints. The world is ripe with potential, and Havoc Wilde leaves just enough unanswered to make book two (three, four….) absolutely necessary!

If you love dark romance with taboo subject matter (although pretty much resolved in this book, knowing this author and now knowing this society, more skeletons are bound to rise to the surface!), morally gray characters, and a plot that grabs you by the throat (mmmm), this novel belongs on your radar.

Pure chaos!
Unholy Sinner 4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book starts with a bang. From the prologue, we’re thrown straight into Lucian’s twisted, forbidden mind and quickly learn he has a very unhealthy obsession with his half sister. 😈
Lucian is an asshole, and the best part? He’s completely unapologetic about it.
Seraphina is just as obsessed with him as he is with her, although she’d rather die than admit it. To her, he’s arrogant, infuriating, and completely toxic.
It’s been three years since they’ve seen each other, but all it takes is one encounter for everything to come rushing back.
“Three years. All these fucking years I spent cleansing Lucien Devereux from my life, and it took him less than five minutes to reduce me to a trembling mess again.”
The chemistry and tension between these two is immediate and absolutely delicious.
And can we talk about Seraphina’s parents? Because wow. Her mother constantly criticises her, and her father, Elliott Carvelli, is on another level entirely.
“Your job is to look pretty at functions and keep your opinions to yourself unless explicitly asked.”
Sir. Absolutely not. 🚩
The Black Crown society is supposedly secret, although not very secret, and its traditions are fascinatingly messed up. The divide between the Saints and Sinners adds so much to the world-building, and the Choosing Ceremony had me hooked. When Lucian publicly chooses Seraphina, I was internally screaming.
The atmosphere is dark, murky, and dripping with tension from the very beginning, and I loved every second of it. 🤩
One thing I appreciated was that Lucian had triple-checked they weren’t actually related, but he lets Seraphina continue believing they are because, in his words, knowledge is power. Manipulative? Absolutely. Entertaining? Also absolutely.
Lucian is possessive in every sense of the word. He wants his name on her, his claim on her, and even insists she wear his jersey. Naturally, our girl decides to rebel by wearing the opposing team’s jersey instead. 🤭
Of course, that breaks society rules and causes even more drama.
Overall, I really enjoyed Unholy Sinner. The tension is intense, the characters are morally questionable at best, and the story had me completely invested. If you enjoy dark romance, forbidden attraction, secret societies, obsessive heroes, and plenty of angst, this is definitely one to add to your TBR.

This book was dark, addictive, and one of those reads that had me saying “one more chapter” until suddenly I was halfway through the book.
I’ve read a lot of dark romances, but there was something about Unholy Sinner that grabbed my attention right away. Maybe it was Lucien. Maybe it was the tension. Maybe it was the fact that I knew this book was going to be messy from the start and I was completely here for it.
Lucien was obsessed with Seraphina from the beginning, and I loved that there was no pretending otherwise. His focus was always on her. Every interaction felt intense because you could feel that obsession simmering beneath the surface. It created this constant tension that kept me invested in what would happen next.
One thing that surprised me was how much I enjoyed the basketball aspect of the story. Dark college romances can sometimes start to blend together after you’ve read enough of them, but this felt different. The basketball element gave it its own identity and helped it stand apart from other books in the genre.
And then there was the plot twist.
I genuinely did not see that coming.
Finding out that Seraphina was Lucien’s half-sibling completely caught me off guard. I had my own theories while reading, but that wasn’t one of them. Instead of making me pull away from the story, it made me even more invested because I needed to know how everything was going to unfold from there.
What I enjoyed most about this book was how addictive it was. Every chapter seemed to raise the stakes a little higher. Every revelation made me want answers. Every interaction between Lucien and Seraphina made me want to keep reading.
This definitely falls into the category of books where I recommend checking the trigger warnings before reading. The taboo and forbidden elements are a major part of the story, and the darker themes won’t be for everyone.
For me though?
I devoured it.

This book can only be described as dark, obsessive chaos wrapped in ritualistic devotion and honestly? I ate up every second of it. If you love your MMCs morally gray, violently possessive, and completely unhinged when it comes to protecting their woman, Lucien Devereux delivers in the most dangerous way possible. This man does not apologize for who he is, and neither does this book. If obsessive/possessive MMCs are not your thing, consider this your warning and move along now because Lucien’s love language is quite literally “touch her and die.”
What really worked for me was how fully committed the story was to its darkness. The Black Crown Society felt sinister, elite, and dripping with secrets, power, and ritual. The chosen/claimed bond added this addictive intensity to Lucien and Seraphina’s relationship, making every interaction feel loaded with tension, obsession, and inevitability. He fell first, he fell harder, and once Seraphina was back in his orbit, there was never going to be a world where he let her go again.
Lucien is the definition of morally gray. Basketball captain by day, heir to power and ruthless sinner by bloodline? Say less. The man is terrifyingly devoted, and while some readers may clutch their pearls over how possessive he is portrayed, the book never pretends he’s anything other than dangerous. He will burn down kingdoms, bury bodies, and destroy anyone who threatens Seraphina, and somehow the author still makes you root for him.

ARC Review of Unholy Sinner Book 1 in the Sinners Of The Black Crown Society Series by Havoc Wilde This is a 5 star read for me. I absolutely loved this book I was hooked from the first page. I couldn’t put it down. This book is a rollercoaster it’s such a deliciously dark wild ride, I am addicted. I love all the suspense, drama, tension and craziness in this book. This is Lucien and Seraphina's story. I love an unhinged, possessive, obsessive, touch her and die, ruthless, very morally grey mmc and Lucien is all of that and more, he is a walking red flag and I absolutely love him. I love Seraphina and how fiery and rebellious she is and how she doesn’t back down. I love the tension, verbal sparing, and fire between them, they are explosive. This is a very spicy, slow burn, secret society, basketball player mmc, black cat fmc, unhinged morally grey mmc, touch her and die, hate to love, suspenseful, forbidden, dark university romance. Lucien is a senior at St Augustine University and captain of the basketball team. He is heir to The Sinners faction of The Black Crown Society, a wealthy and powerful secret society. Seraphina Carvelli disappeared 3 years ago and now she’s back. She is also a senior at St. Augustine. Her family are members of The Society. Seraphina and Lucien have history but he hasn’t seen her since she disappeared. Lucien has never stopped wanting Seraphina, he is obsessed, he will do anything to make her his. The Sinners Choosing Ceremony an archaic tradition of the Society is coming up, at the ceremony Lucien will choose someone to be bound to him for life. He chooses Seraphina to be his Chosen she’s supposed to be off limits to him and she hates him for choosing her. Their love isn’t soft and swoony, it’s intense, explosive, raw, and at times vulnerable. They say they hate each other but the line between love and hate is real thin and they can’t help but cross it. Lucien is so composed, in control, and apathetic I love the moments when he’s actually soft with Seraphina. I absolutely loved this book there was never a dull moment I highly recommend it.
