Well that definitely ended with more questions than answers. If the shifters are so powerful and in college then why do they not have any type of education about fated mates? I know it’s not the main focus for the plot. But for being on top as a species they are definitely lacking in bond education. Also I feel like some of the chapters were unfinished or lacked detail. A chapter starts in one day then the next could be a week or more over. I don’t know if it’s because one author would do a chapter then the other would take over. You can definitely spot the difference at times.
While the story was attention grabbing and made you want to finish the book to figure out what happens next. I would also like to see more of how Rawling made his friendships and maybe some more about his past and relationships.
Hopefully the next semester/ book will give us, the reader and Rawling some serious answers. I also hope that Rawling will get to have some of his found family by his side…. Fingers crossed! Also I swear Phelan better stay by his side and support Rawling cuz heaven knows that boy needs all the help he can get!
This was sort of like trying to watch The Vampire Diaries as an adult. It’s pretty stupid, the dialogue is stilted and cheesy, but yet it has your interest. I finally gave up when the MMC as a 20 year-old male thinking he might possibly be pregnant. What?! Before that I almost gave up when he had relations with a shifter and experienced knotting. At that time, he still wasn’t clear anyone was a shifter and - hello - no human man has a knot. I just couldn’t anymore.
I can honestly say that this is the best writing I’ve seen out of either of these authors previously. This book has a lot of characters, a lot of information, an interesting world build, and a heck of a cliffhanger. Seriously! Rawling is pregnant with Phelan’s baby; they’re probably fated mates although Phelan hasn’t shared that; and Rawling is a legend known as The Hunter. Whoa. Lots to unpack when the next book releases.

This was an AMAZING book! Rawling is a human in a shifter college. Not understanding what is going on around him. He lucked out with his roommate Jack, who is a latent shifter who assumes that he is one too. There was so much going on in this story! I can’t wait to read the second one. Highly Recommended
I devoured this book! It was interesting and the characters pulled me into their drama. I was gutted when it ended on a cliff hanger with so many unanswered questions. I’m looking forward to the next book - hoping it’s not a long wait.
I always enjoy the books by these authors, but this one really knocked it out of the park. It’s well thought out, has well developed characters and a great plot. I enjoyed all the characters, even though for some it was love to hate them. Cannot wait for the next one
This for me is a 3/5. It is an interesting book but it is long and sometimes wanders. Raw,ins goes to a shifter college and he has no idea what it is. He must navigate around shifter prejudices and try to make friends. But will he be strong enough?
I liked this storyline but it was hard to read. Switching between all the characters left my attention lagging. I know they are all important to the story but hard to focus for more than a few chapters at a time.
