Lunar Eclipse & Solar Ascent: Fixation

Rate this book
As if the first year of high school wasn't already chaotic enough, the second year is turning their worlds upside down. As Luna Ly and Dayton Duong, they are finally settling into everything high school has to offer. However, as Lunar Eclipse and Solar Ascent, their newfound adjustments prove to be quite challenging. Although they show improvement through jaw-dropping superpower upgrades and the guidance of a mentor who found them a lot later than expected, the effects from the past regarding their magical chips are being projected onto the beloved heroes. After learning some of the history behind the moonstone and sunstone chips, the heroes find themselves at a crossroads between their heroic and civilian lives. For the first time ever, the walls they have built to keep those lives separate begin to crumble.
The third installment to the Lunar Eclipse & Solar Ascent series, Fixation fixates on the beginning of Luna Ly and Dayton Duong's sophomore year of high school as they struggle to continue maintaining the boundaries between hero and civilian.

Finally, we got the Vivica lore I've been waiting for since the first book, and the wait was definitely worth it.

I have loved every book so far, and there was no difference with this one. I was thrilled to read this book! The author draws from two of my favorite fandoms, Percy Jackson and Miraculous. I love how the series follows them as they grow, like in the PJO series, and how much they care for each other comes out when they're in their superhero forms, like Miraculous. Luna's poems are something I look forward to, no matter how much embarrassment she gets from re-reading them. I was surprised at the new characters introduced and immediately fell in love with them. As always, I CANNOT wait for the next book.

The adventure continues as both of their lives tangle with each other, one in love with his real identity and the other "crushing" on her superheroine alter ego.

I enjoyed it as I would be watching a serial, and I applaud the upgrade of the author on her writing style that matches this third book, as the duo lives their conflicted years as teenagers.

Waiting for more to come in the fourth book!!
