I texted the wrong number. He texted back. Now the Bratva owns me.
It was supposed to be a rant to the date who stood me up. Instead, I got Sergei Volkov. Cold. Ruthless. Powerful. The kind of man you don’t say no to.
He took me to dinner. Then took me apart in bed. No names. No strings. Just the best night of my life.
I never expected to see him again... Until he walked into my ER— While I was already five weeks pregnant.
Now he wants me under his roof, caring for his ailing mother. I need the money. But how do I hide his baby... When he watches me like he already owns me?
Because Sergei isn't just any man. He’s a Pakhan. A ruthless Russian crime boss with blood on his hands. And once he finds out what I’m hiding... He’ll never let me go.
This is a full-length standalone mafia romance. No cliff hanger. Happily ever after guaranteed!
Couldn’t sleep last night, saw this on TikTok and it was short so gave it a go.
Nicole is on a date who ghosts her while she’s in the bathroom so she texts him calling him an asshole and sends it to a wrong number. Sergei gets the text, is intrigued and they banter back and forth a little bit and he asks her on a date. They have the date, hit it off and have a ONS.
5 weeks later Nicole finds out she’s pregnant, the same day a stroke victim comes into the ER where she works as a nurse and turns out to be Sergies mum. She doesn’t tell him about the baby. He decides she’s the best nurse ever and wants her to come be a live in nurse for his mum and offers her 2 million dollars, she thinks this is a great idea cus then she has money for the baby and she can work up to telling him. So they more or less immediately start sleeping together again he’s doing bratva things and she remains clueless, even patches up his brother who’s all beaten and bloody, asks him about it and he doesn’t want to tell her. In his pov he thinks if she finds out about his bratva shit then she’ll leave, but his bro is telling him if she finds out from someone else it’ll be worse. So she finds out. Surprise surprise, she snoops in his office and sees a document about his bratva and googles him. Even watches a short YouTube documentary about him 😂 so she freaks, she flees and is immediately kidnapped by his enemy. Then it’s the most anticlimactic, easy rescue I’ve ever read. She tells him about the baby and he’s delighted but she’s scared of his life and he’s just like it’s ok babe I’ll look after you and she’s like well that’s what I wanted to hear so ok then. He let the enemy live and apparently is warned off enough that he never causes issues again.
This was a very mindless, easy, surface level read. I don’t think I’d recommend tho, it’s pretty shit tbh 🤷🏻♀️
-Dual PoV -the book says age gap on it but I don’t think his age was told, she’s mid 20s iirc -surprise pregnancy that she keeps secret for more or less all of the book -no owd/omd at all -HEA -epilogue 5 years later and 10 years later, 3 kids still happily married

Sergei and Nicole’s story would not usually get all the stars. But tonight the wrong number right don, hit all the boxes. Random hookup with a sexy Bratva guy, plenty of sexy times in diverse locations. Nicole is a nurse and feels distraught drama when she realizes she is in love with a mobster. But she has a secret 👶 Sergei is a romantic loving guy outside the occasional bloodbath. my only peeve is excessive morning sickness and Nicole resting her face on the cold porcelain rim of a hospital toilet. 😱🤢
This was okay but everything felt very surface level and the characters lacked depth. The ending was rushed and by the end I still never saw a true connection between the characters. Overall, it was enjoyable as a quick and easy read.
I get and accept that most romance authors aren’t good enough writers to have a character-driven story and instead just have their main characters fall in love with each other for…reasons, but this one is taking it too far. The entire premise of the story is that the FMC’s date ditches her, she texts him to tell him he’s a dick, and she accidentally texts this mafia don. The don has no idea anything about her - her personality, her life, her age, her appearance, and just decides based on this one short text that he needs to go on a date with her. That premise by itself was so ridiculous that I couldn’t enjoy the rest of the story. I got a few unimpressive more chapters in and then gave up.
Thoughts : OMG.. the banter was so funny! Sergei was amazingly refreshing! And Nicole… she was quick with her wit! Loved this book. Even though Sergei wanted her, he was willing to keep his distance and sacrifice his happiness to keep her safe.
⚠️⚠️⚠️spoilers - whole story*** Nicole has a bad date and HE bails on HER! She texts him to ensure he knows what an a**hole he was and she texts the wrong number… Enter Sergei (Bratva M@fia)! He basically tells her that her date wasn’t a real man and he could show her how one really treats a woman. They go on a date and that night is off the chain. Then, he is gone. 5 ish weeks later she is working in the ER (she is a nurse) and she realizes she is pregn@nt. She is scared and doesn’t know what she is going to do. A week later an elderly woman comes in with strok€ symptoms and Sergei runs in looking for his mother, Liliya. Liliya survives but Sergei now wants Nicole to be her live in nurse. He offers 2$ million. Nicole just learned her parents need home repairs and she feels the need to help as they were great parents, sending her to nursing school on their dime, but they aren’t well off. This and her baby solidify her answer. She moves in, taking care of Liliya. Nicole and Sergei banter / flirt back and forth. Sergei is also dealing with m@fia stuff, Semione encroaching on his territory. Nicole realizes he is in the m@fia and leaves, not wanting her child in harms way. Semione takes her and negotiates for more territory. Sergei gives it to him only to get her back and then take out many of his men. Nicole tells Sergei she is pregn@nt. The epilogues are them living life and thriving, they have 3 kids, 2 girls and a boy.

Falls short. The characters, the storyline, and the editing, even the style, are great.
*HOWEVER, the conflict was just too Easy?- Non-threatening?- Too controlled by the author and not the characters? In other words, it was predictable. The climax was anticlimactic. A huge letdown! In the end, there was no real danger. 🤦♀️ The author was playing it too safe. * Both of the MCs have loving families , so there is no drama there. There's no drama among friends or co-workers either. *The villain, Semion, basically surrenders without a fight after so much build-up. < SPOILER ALERT> *I still don't get why Semion let Sergi waltz into his mansion? Because he didn't blood shed? That makes no sense since Semion was all about guns blazing. *Sergi's men miraculously shoot down all of Semion's guards - even though they dont have the upoer hand. The author doesn't provide any narrative of this action. It is skipped over completely.*It only takes a few sentences from Sergi to make Semion give up? I mean, Semion doesn't even try to hurt Sergi, which makes no sense considering the extent of violence he purpitrated beforehand to reach the pinnacle. I thought he was ready to kill Sergi. But no... that doesn't happen at all. Semion suddenly decides he doesn't want war. * The intimate scenes were fine. They weren't the kind of spice that stops you from putting the book down, though. *Also, the chemistry between the MCs from their first physical encounter doesn't really come through the pages well. I just assume it was so because of the Nicoles, so not because I felt it. * We are told Sergi is the Patkan, but we are never shown. Therefore, it minizes how much his character alters by the ending. There is no reference point. * The cafeteria in the hospital... how does that have a view to the street across? Hospital cafeteria's are never on the first floor, and they rarely have windows.* The end was so cliche it was predictable.
Predictable and suspension of belief were the reason for 3 start rating.
I don't like to knick pit, but it's too late for that. Not once are Sergi's tattoos mentioned! The guy on cover is loaded. He looks like a powerful mafia boss. Nicole never mentions it. She only remarks on the luxury of his clothes. The author omitted this for the benefit of Nicoles' ignorance. Tattoos are a huge part of Russian mafia characteristics!!
Both Nicole and Sergei are keeping secrets! He hires Nurse Nicole to take care of his mother, after the older lady suffers a stroke. However, even though Nicole sees several clues, she still has no idea that Sergei is a powerful Don, that runs a dangerous part of the Russian Bratva.
A kidnapping exposes just how deadly Sergei's enemies can be. But will Nicole's "secret" stop him in his tracks???
I enjoyed this, some of it was fun, some of it was so-so, but all in all I enjoyed Nicole and the rest of the story. No cliffhanger (yay!) and a HEA which is awesome. A very nice afternoon read.
This is a great story, with good character development. Natasha is a levelheaded women who’s life changes when she texts the wrong number. While Sergei is a mafia boss there isn’t too much of that side to the story, odd details here and there just to add to the twists and turns. Definitely worth reading.

This started off great. Funny, witty, hooked me in. The middle dragged in a bit, and then all of a sudden it was ending. Felt quite rushed at the end and became extremely predictable. I was hoping for some kind of twist where his brother may have been involved, but all the pieces just kind of fell nicely into place in a simple way.
I texted the wrong number. He texted back. Now the Bratva owns me.

This was a super light and fluffy mafia book. There wasn't much in there about it, and what there was didn't get very dark, it just stayed very light and high-level. Then, when we get to the end, everything felt very rushed. The rescue was very anti climactic.
I came across this book as an ad in my Facebook feed. I thought there was potential, so I picked it up. I was sorely disappointed, honestly. It wasn't even close to what I was expecting from the title. There was very little texting, and there was very little mafia. It felt like those were thrown in there just to push the story along when it needed it, but was abandoned otherwise.
For being an ER nurse, Nicole came across as really dim. To have unprotected sex with a random guy that she met seems really stupid to me. Not just because of the possibility of pregnancy, but also STDs. She just disregarded all of it, every time she was with him.
Then, when there was the slightest bit of action near the end, it all felt rushed. Don't get me wrong, this whole book was super short and moved quickly, when nothing has really happened at 75% in, with a book this short, that's really rushing everything that needs to happen for an HEA.
Another thing that bothered me about Nicole is that she found out what he did and what he was, so she packed up and ran. But then after the rescue, all that happened was that he said he would protect her, and she was suddenly OK with all of it? She was OK with something that made her sneak out and hide from him, but just a promise of protection, and she was just all in.
The description states age gap, but I really didn't get that from anything. Maybe it was mentioned once and I skimmed over it, but it wasn't a factor in anything or even mentioned enough to be a thing, so I am not shelving this with my age gap books. It doesn't belong there. It barely belongs on my mafia shelf, honestly.

Coming back from the bathroom on a challenging first date, she realizes that her date ditched her. Angry she texts him, the from the response she realizes she got the wrong number. The man she texted is intriguing and flirty so when he offers to take her on a date she accepts. They have a wild and passionate night, but after he leaves she doesn't hear from him until he shows up at her work weeks later. He had an amazing night with her and hasn't been able to stop thinking about her, but as the head of the Bratva he has been busy putting out fires. When his mom lands in the hospital he makes her an offer to be their in home caregiver. She is reluctant to accept especially with the news she just got, but the money her offers can give her the means she needs to help her parents and prepare her to be a parent. She isn't sure if she is going tell him or if he would even want to know, but being in his home things get steamy between them and muddy the waters. When she finds out who he really is it could change everything. This was a well laid out story. It is from a different perspective. While he might be a ruthless Bratva leader, what you really see is his conflict and his desire for something normal. She has to learn if she can fit in his world. Their chemistry is undeniable and a force as they combust when they are together. There is mafia drama to navigate, but their relationship is definitely the star of the story and continues through the extended epilogues which I just loved. Wrong number done right.

Loved this story. nicole has a bad date and accidentally texts a wrong number chewing him out. sergei intrigued by this strange text answers back beginning a flirty communication that ends with him asking her on a real date to show her all men are not crap. after the date they end up having incredible sex and then she never hears from him again while discovering she's pregnant. then his mother ends up in the ER and sergei asks nicole to come to him home to care for her. thus beginning the dance of him hiding his lifestyle from her, her hiding her pregnancy from him while caring for his mom, and both developing deeper and deeper feelings for each other and unable to keep their hands off each other. what happens if nicole ever finds out that he's mafia? will she ever tell him about the baby? enemies step forward and danger surrounds them leading to a confrontation. how can a world of violence ever meet a world where someone is a nurse caring for those in need. and can they ever find a way to meet in the middle and find a happy ending once all the secrets are discovered. two exceptional epilogues. wonderfully real and flawed true to life characters, richly developed and detailed. great world building and i loved that the author focused more on the relationship developing between them and the emotions and hardships involved rather than put in a lot of filler about the mafia world. highly recommend this book.

You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Nicole went out on a date the beginning started out okay she went to the restroom came back he was gone ghosting her boy is she upset and so she decides to send him text giving him a piece of her mind however, she didn’t realize she was texting the wrong number but what’s more surprising is the wrong number replied. Sergei sexy as all get out Don, he is dangerous, ruthless on a good day, deadly every day, surprised when he gets a text from an unknown number ranting but intriguing and so of course he replies which start something neither of them saw coming. The more they text one another the more the magnetic pull between them grows till they agree to meet in person, of course that leads to a night of passion. But fate wasn’t done with them when a situation was presented for her to move in with him but when she learns that he is pakhan of the Volkov Bratva with enemies ready, willing to use her against him will she stay can he protect her, will they face it together, will they be honest about their feeling for one another, and where are they headed maybe happiness along the way realizing the wrong number ended up being the right number?
After being left by her date, Nicole decides to send an angry text and give him a piece of her mind. Only, instead of texting him, she texts the wrong number. The person who replies engages in a conversation that has Nicole distracted from her bad evening. Their texting leads to a one-night stand that not only blows both Nicole’s and Sergei’s minds, but changes their lives forever. Despite it being the most exciting night of her life, Nicole decides to consider it a one-night stand and not pursue trying to contact Sergei. Only, at work a few weeks later, Sergei rushes into her ER with his very sick aunt. He decides to hire her as his aunt’s private home nurse and offers her a considerable amount of money to do so. With the state of her finances, Nicole has no choice but to move in with Sergei. Little does he know she is pregnant with his child. This story is fast paced and engaging. Despite Nicole and Sergei starting the tale together, the story is written as a slow burn with building tension. The anticipation and emotional build up between the characters has you on the edge of your seat majority of the story. Then, you add in the intrigue and danger of Sergei being the Pakhan to the Bratva. Finally, when the spice gets spicy, the rating on this story would be rated more than five stars. I definitely blushed a few times. I recommend this story for mature audiences only due to sexual content and violence. I received this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
After their ONS, the MMC walked away without a second thought. If he hadn’t needed a nurse, he wouldn’t have crossed paths with the heroine again....let alone discovered she was pregnant. He’s a textbook workaholic, often leaving her in bed right after their intimate moments, which felt emotionally dismissive. As for the FMC, she’s overly agreeable to anything the Mmc say or does. She rarely sets boundaries, and her clinginess made it hard to connect with her character.
What pissed me off is that the FMC agreed to be his mother’s live-in nurse...so she’s literally his employee. They’re not a couple, not even on speaking terms after their ONS, and he’s actively keeping his distance. Yet within that same week of being his Mother's nurse, he walks into her room, and she’s all clingy and sleeps with him again. Like… why? He’s the asshole who ghosted her after their first time and only needed her because he needed help (Due to coincidence meeting, not like he searched for her) She should’ve had the damn nerve to say no and some actual self-respect. And of course, right after second sex, this asshole pulls the same stunt...leaves her in bed with the classic “important work” excuse. And she just accepts it. She’s clearly hurt but never voices it. Why? Why is she okay being treated like this? This proves she lacks personality... Jesus Christ!!!
So yeah... they are like ONS turned Employee with Benefits... because of Pregnancy there will be HEA OR HFN anyway i dnf it after her kidnap and the way she confessed her pregnancy....

Nicole’s (h) night takes a wild turn when an angry text to the wrong number puts her in the sights of Sergei (H), a man who’s as magnetic as he is dangerous. What starts as playful banter turns into a meeting that’s all heat and tension, a collision of control and temptation that neither of them can walk away from.
Fate throws them back together in a way neither expects, and Sergei makes her an offer she can’t refuse. Moving into his home pulls Nicole into a world where desire runs hot, lines blur between dominance and surrender, and the shadows around him feel closer every day. Because Sergei isn’t just a powerful man, he’s pakhan of the Volkov Bratva, with enemies who would use anything, or anyone, to get to him.
As their lives intertwine, Nicole learns theres more to Sergei than the danger that follows him. She grows from guarded and independent to someone who embraces trust and love, while Sergei shifts from secretive and commanding to a man willing to lay himself bare for the woman he can’t let go. Together, they face choices that will test loyalty, ignite passion, and decide if their bond can outlast the darkness.
A steamy, age gap, bratva romance, exploring love, trust, danger, redemption, family, and sacrifice. It’s about love forged in danger, loyalty tested by truth, and the kind of devotion that survives every storm.
Some Encounters Happen for a Reason - When Nicole accidentally sent a text message to a wrong number, she didn’t expect the owner of the phone number to initiate a sexting session after she clarified her error. The agreement to meet in real life led to a one night stand, but Nicole soon realised she was fated to be in Sergei’s life, as not long after she received life change news, they met again and he offered her a job as a live-in carer for his ailing mum. Moving into Sergei’s mansion was a really overwhelming experience for Nicole, as they had a complicated history and she was keeping a giant secret from him.
On the other hand, spending time together gave them the opportunity to embark on a relationship, whilst they got to know each other better. Unfortunately, Nicole tried to escape after she discovered Sergei’s other life, which led to her being kidnapped. Luckily, Sergei was able to rescue Nicole safely, which gave her the confidence to reveal her secret and acknowledge her true feelings for him, so they could have a wonderful and fulfilling future. This was an addictive read, that had me glued to the pages from beginning until the end. I urge you to clear your diaries, because when you start reading this book, you won’t be interested in anything else until you finished reading it.

What starts out as the fmc Nicole texting her a$$hole date for leaving in the middle of dinner, literally changes the trajectory of her life by texting the wrong number. Sergei—>he’s the wrong number and he can’t have that. So he gives her a perfect date and they hook up and let me tell yall bedroom Sergei is freakin delicious, I had to fan my face! They think they’ll never see each other again, but fate has other plans. And Sergei, whom by the way is the Pakhan of the Volkov Bratva, gives Nicole a deal that she can’t turn down. At this point, Nicole also has a secret. It really irks me that Nicole can’t figure out how to tell Sergei this secret. Ugh. Well, Sergei has enemies closing in, which put Nicole in danger. But what they don’t know is that Sergei will burn the world for Nicole. They do however get their happily ever after. It really made Nicole look like an imbecile when she had to google what bratva meant, like come on now, seriously!?! Anyways, I really love the epilogues. I always love it when the author does epilogues like these because I always want more in the end. I want to know about how the characters lives are down the road and this author gave me exactly that!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was not for me. The best way to describe it is: if you want to read a book where the characters either avoid each other, run away, or have sex instead of actually communicating, then this is the book for you.
For example, she was trying to press him about what happened—why Sasha was injured and bleeding, and why they couldn’t go to the hospital. His response? “I can’t tell you. I won’t tell you.” And instead of having a real conversation, she got upset and gave him the cold shoulder.
So how do they resolve this? By having sex. And then she’s fine again… for a couple of weeks, until the issue comes up again.
Also, if you want a book where the head don/or pakhan is weirdly submissive in business matters, this fits the bill. One thing I understand from mafia books is that if someone is retaliating against you, being passive isn’t the way to handle it. It shows weakness and tells your enemies they can step all over you, which only encourages them to push harder.
Sergei’s inaction against Sermion made it very obvious that Sermion was going to escalate by trying to kidnap Nicole. And honestly, that lack of decisive action made the whole plot feel predictable and frustrating.
Alright, Wrong Number, Right Billionaire was exactly the kind of swoony, addictive read I didn’t know I needed. From page one, I was hooked by the idea of a reclusive billionaire who’s chosen peace and privacy over boardrooms and headlines—until a wrong number text from a sassy, curvy heroine sends his world spinning.
Their banter is sharp, playful, and completely engaging. She’s got that no-nonsense edge that pushes right back against his mystery and charm, and he’s got layers that unfold with every message and call. The hidden identity twist kept me guessing, and the moment they finally meet in person was full of delicious anticipation.
The chemistry between them leaps off the page, but what really drew me in was the emotional connection—the trust they build, the way they challenge each other, and the vulnerability that sneaks in between the sparks.
If you love secret billionaire romances with whip-smart dialogue, a strong and determined heroine, and a storyline that keeps you turning pages late into the night, this one’s a five-star read all the way. I devoured it in one sitting and already wish there was more.
“Does my wife have a spare second to accompany me to our bedroom? I have some unfinished business from last night.” I flush instantly, smacking his chest lightly. “Sergei.” “What?” he says, all faux innocence. “Can’t a man show a little devotion to his beautiful, brilliant wife?” “Devotion, huh?” He wraps an arm around my waist, pulling me against him. “Desperate, adoring, aching devotion.” He presses a theatrical hand to his heart. “I’m suffering, Nicole. Truly.” I shake my head, grinning as my cheeks heat. “We don’t have long.” “Which is why we shouldn’t waste another second.”
"She laughs again, and the sound is the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard. I pull her into my arms then, sweeping her clean off her chair. She lets out a laugh that melts into a gasp as I crash my mouth to hers, kissing her like it’s still the first time. Like it’s the hundredth time. Like it’s the last time I’ll ever get to. Fifteen years, and she still tastes like forever. When I set her down, the kids are watching us in mortification. “Ewwwww!” Tatiana cries."

I read this several weeks ago, so no detailed review, but the rating 2.5 stuck in my head the entire time. It's a decent story, with an execution that could've been fleshed out a bit more. I felt like I was reading a very well-done first draft. Not a lot of typos or grammar errors, but the transitions were a little rough. For instance, we end one chapter with the hero laughing with a side character, then start the next chapter with the hero dragging the side character into the heroine's bedroom with near-fatal injuries for her to patch him up (then a silly moment where she says she's worried about his ribs, and he needs to stay still, followed by the man being carried back to his room - how about leaving him where he is for a day or two?).
I enjoyed the story, I liked the characters, I love the wrong number aspect (it's a favorite subplot for me!), and I think with some experience, this author could be a very good one. If she'd painted a bit more of the picture and eased into those transitions, it would've been a topnotch book!
Wrong Number. Right Don. is a wildly addictive mafia romance that starts with a simple mistake—and spirals into something far more dangerous, passionate, and unforgettable.
When a wrong number leads to a steamy, unexpected connection, I was instantly pulled in. The Don is everything you crave in a dark romance hero—powerful, ruthless, but with a soft side that sneaks up on you. The heroine brings sass, strength, and heart, and their chemistry? Off the charts.
Natasha L. Black nails the pacing, delivering suspense, steam, and emotional stakes in all the right doses. The twists kept me glued, and the romance gave just enough slow burn to make the payoff oh-so-satisfying.
This book is perfect for fans of possessive mafia alphas, accidental encounters that turn deadly serious, and heroines who aren’t afraid to fight for love—even in the shadows.
