"...I can’t have casual sex with you.”
I laughed, feigning offense as I touched my chest.
“Oh-ho, so it’s personal! What, you don’t like me?”
He exhaled, frowning.
“I don’t trust you. You’re impulsive. Controlling… messy. I don’t need that in my life right now.”
“You’re wrong.”
“About what? You?”
“Yes, and about you, too.”
I put a hand to the side of his face, caressing his beard.
“I’m not impulsive. I am extremely self-aware. And I’m not controlling; I’m dominant. I knew what I was gonna do with you fifteen minutes after you walked into my shop. And I knew that you would let me.
Because contrary to what you may think in your logical ass brain, deep down you know… you feel how badly you want a little mess in your life.”
I brought my face closer to his, swiping the tip of my tongue across his bottom lip.
“Admit it.”
“Bri—”
I squeezed his beard and he winced.
“I said admit it.”
“Yess,” he hissed, eyes dark with hate and hunger. “Deep down, I want this. But I am logical. There’s no way in hell I’d let myself do what you’re asking.”
I smiled, shifting to straddle his lap, taking his face in both hands.
“Lucky for you, you’re not in control. And I’m not asking.”
His breathing picked up. I touched my forehead to his.
“Elijah. You’re mine now. Say it.”
“Bri—”
I smacked him, then grabbed his chin, forcing his eyes to mine.
“Say it,” I whispered.
He blinked at me, breathless.
“I’m yours…”

on your knees!
I read a little out of order. This is my first “domme”/female dom book and Bri was not expected. Sis was HOT and powerful and a little sad and then she found family. Elijah was strong to have so much in his plate. He was strong enough to let Bri lead, but he had his moments where he put his foot down and those were my favorites.i enjoyed this book and their dynamic. I would definitely recommend.

Whew!!
I found this book after someone mentioned it on TikTok and I am so glad I did! This is my first time reading this authors work and now it’s time to deep dive because I LOVED everything about this story!
