Mike's insomnia becomes something far more sinister when he realizes he's not resting despite hours of unconsciousness—something else is using his sleeping mind.

A disturbing photograph in a parking lot reveals a kidnapped woman, pulling Bernie into a nightmare he never asked to join.

And when two men murder rising actress Angel Barlow, her posthumous fame becomes a vengeful force that will consume them from within.

31 new ways to fear the dark.

For fans of Joe Hill, Paul Tremblay, and Grady Hendrix.

Another solid collection of Halloween-based horror from Steven Blackmore! Just like the first collection, the stories included in this volume were very solid tales of supernatural horror, psychological horror, gore, mystery, and spooooooky goings on that all seemed to really hit the mark for me. Each story morphed to change its voice based on the main character, so there were quite a few different "writing styles" included, but none of them fell short of delivering a fun story.

As with most collections, some of these stories were better than others, some of the “twists” bordered on (okay…jumped into the territory of) cliche, and one more proofing would have been helpful. But, for a Halloween read, overall, I found myself engaged in most of the these. Not great literature, but solid genre writing.
