I don't currently have a related business, but it is something I am considering for after I retire.
I have been seeing advertisements for this book all over social media, and thought I would give it a try.
I have to admit, the first 2-3 chapters started to turn me off. The author goes into great detail on why the reader should listen to them. It felt non-genuine, almost scammy. i.e. the author's get rich scam was to get people to read his book.
But, it really turned around. The basic principles discussed in the book are similar to what I've been taught in Presentation Skills courses: - tell a story - connect to your audience emotionally
This is sprinkled with suggestions related to the target audience.
If you are in this business, and want to improve things, this book is a good read. Quick to finish, and includes links to curated online resources.
