Y’all. I felt so seen, just reading the table of contents, that I started crying.

I never cry. Even when I want to.

In language as soaringly beautiful and filled with grace as it is deep, truthful, and powerful, Rites of Passage has encouraged and blessed me. I look forward to pulling it off the shelf to help process life as often as I open other EMH volumes.

Well worth every penny I paid for it (even though that was a lot)!

The Rabbit Room sent me a copy of “Every Moment Holy: Rites of Passage” by Douglas Kaine McKelvey in exchange for an honest review.

Life is full of landmark moments, and when we face them we often do not know how to prepare or how to speak of them. This is the benefit of written prayers and liturgies. They disciple us by teaching us a God-honoring way to process these events. The Every Moment Holy series has been a phenomenal source for growth in prayer. This latest volume particularly focuses on the changes and challenges of college-age kids and other young adults. Despite this particular target demographic, the contents of this book can be beneficial to readers of all ages. The content orients you to God, and each liturgy ends with an excerpt from Scripture. Altogether, this is a fantastic resource. I especially recommend this as a graduation gift.

I bought this as a college graduation gift. It is a wonderful collection of prayers dealing with many life issues faced by young adults. The prayers are thoughtful and sensitive, reflect a deep devotion to the way of Christ, and offer excellent counsel/guidance in the way of increasing Christian spiritual maturity. It is printed and bound in an attractive fashion. Recommended!
