Killing Time: Out of Time or Out of His Mind

Rate this book
When Murph and Mayo interview their number one suspect, the murder victim's husband, they aren't prepared for the story he spins for them.

In this short story, Mild-mannered Bernard Mitchel fits the part of the typical grieving widower. When he tries to convince the detectives that he has been going back in time to save his wife from the killer they keep failing to catch, they think he's crazy.

As Detective Murphey "plays along" with Mitchel's delusions, he seems to be buying into this unbelievable story. At each facet of the interrogation, thoughts of Murph's estranged wife surface, leading him to a conclusion he can't be sure he reached for himself.

A knucklehead from Brooklyn living in Milan and writing fiction because reality kind of sucks right now.

Glass is a real human with a single letter for a name and a passion for crafting compelling stories. He focuses on the writing craft, working with writing coaches and editors, to give readers an engaging, thought-provoking, and memorable experience. Because why else would anyone read a book?

To create relatable characters embarking on meaningful journeys, Glass draws from personal experiences (good & bad). Readers feel a deep connection with the characters they spend time with. This human connection between characters, readers, and author fuels his drive as a writer. (His part-time IT gig pays the bills.)

Indie Author Checklist:
- A real human (as far as he knows).
- Works with human beta readers and editors.
- Loves his own work. Really, he's a super fan of his own books.
- Sucks at marketing, so you're probably not even seeing this.

// Author's note: Yeah, I wrote that in 3rd person. It's an author thing.

A mix of mystery and emotion!

A short story packed with suspense and emotion. Mitchel’s claim of time travel to save his wife had me questioning everything right alongside Detective Murphy. The blend of mystery, psychological tension, and a hint of sci-fi kept me turning pages, never sure if Mitchel was delusional or telling the truth. A compelling and intriguing read!

Enjoyable murder mystery with twists and turns

This is a good read with twists and turns on the road to discovering the truth about Bernard. I like the first person narrative from the cops perspective as well.

Mind bending time loop mystery

Hard boiled detective with a sci-fi habit works a case. Suspect husband denies he killed his wife. Excitement builds with twists and emotional outbursts. Surprise ending satisfies as it pulls everything together.
