Good book, but I don't feel like this is for me at the moment. 😅 Sounded good at the time I downloaded it, but now I can't give it my full attention, and I kinda dread having to read this. L me, lol, because it's actually quite interesting! 😂🤦‍♀️ That's what I get for waiting so long to read it.

Thank you to Thomas and Mercer and NetGalley for providing the arc in exchange for an honest review! All opinions and statements are my own.

A fun, wild ride of (mostly) unguessable twists and turns, Yours Always instantly turned me into a Corinne Sullivan fan. You see, not only did she manage to make everyone a suspect in this multiple POV tale, but she did so while also delivering a ratcheting level of palpable tension to this intricately plotted novel. Keeping me on my toes from beginning to end, this psychological thriller had quite the mind-blowing jaw-dropper of an ending. I can’t say much more without potentially leaking some clues, but just know that there was at least one last minute surprise that you’re sure to love. Twisty, fast-paced, and fun, it was a near perfect read. After all, it had all of the binge-worthy elements that an unputdownable thriller needs to shine.

I do have to say, though, that while the plot was an utter blast, the characters were easily the stars of the show. With five potentially unreliable narrators, I was on the back foot throughout as I suspected everyone in turn. You see, there were oodles of well-hidden secrets that pulled me into the drama. Even better? I found myself liking even the worst of the bunch—until their evil deeds were revealed. Don’t get me wrong, I did guess a few of the twists along the way, but I put that down to my insatiable appetite for all things suspense. Ultimately, this one-sitting read was perfect for fans of Carola Lovering or Freida McFadden thanks to the shifting loyalties, hidden motives, and webs of lies. Bravo, Ms. Sullivan! Rating of 4.25 stars.

A woman giving the man who broke her heart a second chance and then learning he's the prime suspect behind his other ex's disappearance? I thought I was going in for a semi-predictable thriller when I chose to read Yours Always by Corinne Sullivan. But I was only half correct. It was a wild ride getting there, with several other theories popping up along the way. There were enough of them to make me doubt the initial one.

As you've surmised from above, Talia has reunited with the man she once caught in bed with another woman. Her friend and coworker at the high-end dating app she works for, Meera, distrusts him, but Talia is sure he has changed. They've only been reunited a short time when it's discovered that the woman he cheated on Talia with has gone missing. Meera and the ex's sister Kaitlyn both naturally suspect him. But they've all got secrets.

The characters in this story are a delightful mess. They're all so relatable until you learn more about their oddities later in the book. I really understood their motivations until they took things one, or a million, steps too far. They're not flawless at any point, and I respected their genuineness even when they'd do something highly unadvisable or just plain stupid.

The author alternates narrators by chapter, keeping things psychological and intimate by allowing the narration to sit very close to each of their inner thoughts and fears. The prose is clean and modern, nothing flowery at all. In short, the style is tight, psychological, and quietly unsettling, with that creeping feeling growing stronger as the tale progresses. It relies on simple language and repetition to build mental tension instead of heavy description. I found it to be effective.

I can sum the story up with two simple words, really: obsessive spiral. Picture a tornado, with the obsessions starting broad and gradually narrowing until they reach their most destructive point. Yours Always is great for fans of Gillian Flynn and Ruth Ware. You may be able to predict pieces of the outcome, but you're going to have a ton of fun on your way to it.

Nerd Rating: 🤓🤓🤓🤓 — Unreliable narrator chaos

i'm always disappointed whenever a mystery/thriller book ends up being predictable. it's one thing for the reveal to make sense according to all the hints scattered throughout the book, but i don't like being spoon-fed things without being allowed to come up with my own alternative theories. the hints scream in your face, and it makes it hard to even try to uncover the mystery yourself.

the characters are.....Something, for sure. no one here is likeable. meera is the one who has the most going on for her and you want to root for her because life keeps kicking her while she's down, but then she makes decisions that make it hard to properly root for her. townsend is just your typical insufferable tech bro, but he was written like that on purpose, so that's fine.

i think there was a LOT of exposition that wasn't done in the most engaging way. it felt a bit info dump-y, and it just felt like there was someone nudging me to remember it for later. i would've rather have it be more subtle.

Overall, a decent thriller. Felt a bit long winded. Not sure if it was due to minimal characters or length. The plot concept was intriguing and pulls you in easily but fell somewhat short.

Thank you, Thomas & Mercer, for sending me this ARC. Publication date is expected for April 1, 2026.

Quick Take Review 💥:

A thriller packed with twists, some predictable, and a cast of unreliable, untrustworthy characters. The smooth writing and steady pacing make it an enjoyable read, even if it doesn’t quite reach the level of exceptional.

In Depth Review 👇

Summary 📖:

Engineer Talia Danver builds algorithms for a high-end dating app, but when it comes to her own love life, the code has never quite worked. That is, until she unexpectedly reconnects with Townsend, the one who got away.

Or more accurately, the one who left her for someone else.

Townsend insists he’s changed, and Talia wants desperately to believe him. But believing him comes with complications, like the fact that he’s the prime suspect in the disappearance of Amanda Reade, the very woman who broke them up in the first place. And in cases like these, it’s usually the boyfriend.

At least that’s what Amanda’s sister, Kaitlyn, believes. Talia’s sharp-eyed coworker, Meera Ratnam, agrees, and she’s willing to risk everything to stop Talia from making a deadly mistake.

Then the messages start.

Threatening texts; from Amanda’s phone.

But that’s impossible. Amanda is missing… or dead. So who’s sending them? Is Amanda still alive, or is someone playing a twisted, dangerous game with Talia, and how far will it go?

Writing 📝:

Corinne Sullivan’s writing is really engaging and easy to get into. Everything flows smoothly, so it never feels confusing or hard to follow. The pacing feels natural, and it’s easy to stay invested in what’s happening. Sullivan also does a great job bringing the settings and different situations to life without overloading you with details. It’s descriptive enough to paint a clear picture, but still light and easy to read, which makes the whole experience really enjoyable.

Thoughts 💭:

“Whoever said truth is a deep kindness clearly didn’t understand female friendships.”

I’ll be honest, based on the summary, I really wanted to like this book a lot more than I did. I didn’t dislike it per se, but it definitely didn’t live up to the expectations I had going in.

I really enjoyed how the prologue grabbed my attention right away. You can tell one of the main characters is in some kind of dangerous situation, but it doesn’t give away too much. It’s just vague enough that you’re left wondering who it is and what’s actually going on. That mystery pulled me in and made me want to keep reading to find out what happens next.

Talia and Townsend reunite in Chapter One, and it immediately made me more curious about what’s going on between them and where things might lead. It’s not like think escalate the second they see each other again, but their reunion definitely gets things moving and sets the tone for what’s ahead.

The chapter length also made this book really easy to fly through. They weren’t super short, but they never dragged either, they felt just right. I never felt stuck in a chapter, which made it way easier to keep turning the pages.

“It’s like sitting in the passenger seat of a car that’s destined to crash; there’s nothing she can do but brace for impact.”

There’s honestly nothing worse than chapters that go on forever. For me, once a chapter creeps past ten pages, it starts to feel unnecessary. These were the perfect length; enough to get something done, but not so long that I felt trapped.

One thing I love about thrillers is getting just enough information to try and piece the mystery together on my own. I like picking up on little hints and clues along the way, trying to figure out how everything will unfold before it’s revealed. In this case, though, it felt like the reader was handed all the answers practically outright. There wasn’t much room to guess or theorize, everything was basically spelled out for us. That took away a lot of the fun for me and made the experience feel pretty underwhelming. I didn’t need the author to hold my hand through it all, but thats pretty much exactly what she did.

Overall, the pacing of the plot was really well done. Nothing ever felt dragged out or slow, but it also never felt rushed or skimmed over. The story maintained a steady, natural flow from start to finish. Sometimes in the middle of a book, things can hit a lull and feel like they’ll never pick back up, but that never happened here, which was a big plus for me.

“Clearly, she needs Townsend to shut her up for good.”

The flashbacks that were sprinkled throughout the story were really well placed and never made the plot feel messy or confusing. They blended in naturally, sliding in and out of the timeline smoothly without making anything feel jarring.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I didn’t trust a single person in this book. They were all so unreliable in their own way. Every character felt capable of doing something seriously shiesty, and I loved that. I really enjoy thrillers where you can’t quite tell who’s good, who’s bad, or who’s hiding something. When everyone feels like a suspect, the stakes automatically feel higher, the tension builds, and that’s when the story really starts to get fun.

The characters in this one were a bit hit or miss for me, which honestly felt fine. I think that’s how it’s supposed to be in books. Sometimes when you like every single character in a book, it can get pretty boring. Having a mix keeps things interesting and makes the story feel more real. So, Sullivan got that part right. I was pleased with that aspect of the book.

“Men don’t know how lucky they are, to be able to run alone whenever they want without fearing for their lives.”

Talia is (more or less) the main character throughout the story, and unfortunately, I didn’t connect with her very much. She came across as a bit naive, letting her feelings for Townsend blind her to all the obvious red flags. Despite the way he treated her, she wanted (and ultimately took) him back, which made most of her decision making skills feel frustrating and, honestly, a little silly to me.

Meera wasn’t terrible, but I could never fully get on board with her. I understand that she was trying to be a good best friend; even if her approach was, at times, overbearing. She wasn’t exactly off-putting; she just never quite won me over either. My feelings toward her are hard to pin down. Overall, though, she was probably my favorite character.

I felt similarly about Amanda’s sister, Kaitlyn. As a sibling, I can absolutely sympathize with her. I would do anything to find my brother if he went missing. But I struggled with the way Kaitlyn handled things. She publicly accused Townsend online without any concrete evidence tying him to Amanda’s disappearance. Most of what she had was circumstantial, filtered through her own suspicions and experiences. It felt reckless, like she was willing to destroy his life based on assumptions rather than proof.

“Leave me the fuck alone, or I will make you leave me alone.”

As for Townsend, he immediately gave me the ick. He was a walking red flag, and I do mean the brightest shade of red. Honestly, the name Townsend alone feels like a warning sign.

And Amanda? Don’t even get me started. She was the absolute worst, she’s so awful she had me ready to flip a damn table. Just thinking about her makes me cringe. Yuck.

The multiple points of view worked really well in this book. I enjoyed getting inside the heads of all the key players, and each character felt distinct with their own personality. While each chapter is labeled with the character’s POV, it honestly didn’t even feel necessary, Sullivan did such a good job making each one feel like their own person. Writing from multiple perspectives can easily get confusing, or make characters start to blend together, but I was impressed with how smoothly the author handled it.

This book promises plenty of twists, and it delivers to an extent, but unfortunately, a lot of it was fairly predictable. Many of the twists that were meant to be shocking ended up having a surprisingly soft landing. Some of the big reveals felt like letdowns, which was disappointing and pulled me out of the tension and atmosphere the plot had built.

That, combined with the fact that much of the information was essentially handed to me through a PowerPoint presentation, were the only reasons I didn’t rate this book a bit higher.

That said, I have to admit the subtle twist at the end genuinely caught me off guard, which was a nice surprise.

Can we talk about the name Townsend for a second? I just could not get on board with it. For some reason, it drove me crazy the entire time I was reading. I don’t know why, but it just wasn’t working for me. No offense at all to anyone named Townsend, it’s nothing personal! It just didn’t click for me in this book. Maybe because to me it sounds more like a last name than a first name.

Final Verdict ⚖️

[ ] You NEED to read this book! DO IT!

[✅] You won’t regret picking up this book but also won’t regret it if you don’t.

[ ] Don’t make the same mistake that I did. DO NOT read this book!

Just a reminder: reading is totally subjective, and that’s what makes it so great. What speaks to one person might not to another, and that’s okay. There's never a reason to put someone down for loving a book you didn’t vibe with or vice versa. Be kind, the world is already cruel enough. 😊

I would like to thank Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book.

Yours always… predictable.

Yours Always markets itself as a twisty, mind-bending thriller - but unfortunately, I found it far more straightforward than it thinks it is.

At its center is Talia, an engineer working for a high-end dating app who reconnects with her ex, Townsend - the one who didn't just get away, but cheated on her with another woman. That woman, Amanda, is now missing. Townsend is the prime suspect. And Talia, despite all available evidence (and, frankly, common sense), is once again willing to believe that he's changed.

Yes. That's exactly as frustrating as it sounds.

I've seen this described as a "social media thriller," which mostly translates to a lot of online sleuthing, stalking, and digital breadcrumbs. There's definitely an audience for that, and I can see this appealing to readers who enjoy that kind of hyper-connected, internet-driven suspense; I actually quite like going down online rabbit holes myself when doing research.

The first issue was predictability - and not just in the usual "I read a lot of thrillers, I can spot a twist" way. I'm talking every. Single. Reveal. Clocked well before it happened. Normally, I don't even mind that - there's a certain pleasure in seeing where a story is going and enjoying the journey, and I do enjoy figuring out even the craziest twists. But here, it didn't feel like a journey, more like the book was constantly trying to catch up to conclusions it had already handed me. The multiple POV structure had potential, but instead of adding complexity, it often made things feel even more obvious.

And then there are the characters. Where to even begin? None of them are particularly likable - which, to be fair, isn't a dealbreaker in a thriller - but they also don't feel especially layered. Most irritatingly, the women, while supposedly brilliant in their work, are all written in a way that feels surprisingly one-dimensional, defined more by a single dominant trait rather than any real nuance- and frequently making the dumbest decisions. It's also hard not to notice that their nearly every interaction revolves around a man, and the emotional range on display rarely moves beyond variations of obsession, jealousy, or resentment. It all feels a bit dated - and not in a good way.

Talia, in particular, giving up everything - including common sense and her friendships - for a guy as horrible as Townsend, after what he had already put her through, made me feel more frustrated than invested. And frankly, I expected more from Corinne Sullivan.

As a result, I found it difficult to stay fully engaged, despite an initially intriguing premise.

That said, I can absolutely see this finding its audience. This is a quick read that does pack a lot of twists, and if you're newer to thrillers, or if you enjoy a more guided reading experience where those twists are clearly signposted, this may well work for you. There's a certain readability to it, and the pacing does keep things moving.

For me, though, it ended up being a case of strong concept, underwhelming execution - and I found myself wishing at times that I had swiped left.

Many thanks to Thomas & Mercer for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I think this is a great book for people who enjoy authors such as Carola Lovering, Alice Feeney, Freida McFadden and Rachel Hawkins. Yours Always is a fast paced Thriller/Mystery told from the five alternating point of views of our main characters: Talia, Townsend, Amanda, Meera and Kaitlyn.

Talia works as an engineer at a dating app called Cuff and while she once had a successful romance with her dream guy, Townsend, whom she met on said app, that all went up in flames when Talia walked in on Townsend cheating on her with a girl named Amanda.

Though Talia and Townsend may have called it quits for a while their spark is reignited when they run into each other again. Romance is in the air for Talia and Townsend but when Amanda has seemingly disappeared and no one has heard from her for months Amanda’s sister Kaitlyn comes into town searching for answers. The only lead she has is Amanda’s last boyfriend Townsend.

Townsend is focused on making up for his past mistakes with Talia and getting his start up company off the ground. Throughout this time he has been getting weird messages that he assumes are from Amanda and it doesn’t take long for Talia to start getting them too. So when Kaitlyn shows up questioning Townsend about her sister Amanda’s disappearance he insists the only contact he has had from her for months are through the harassing messages he is receiving and that they are getting increasingly more erratic and threatening.

Meanwhile Meera, Talia’s best friend and coworker finds herself increasingly suspicious of Townsend and of Amanda’s disappearance. Meera ends up involving herself in the situation for her best friend’s sake despite struggling with health issues and being a divorced mother to a young daughter. What ensues is a series of twists and turns.

thank you so much to NetGalley and the author for allowing me a copy of this super fun and thrilling book in exchange for an honest review <3

Corinne Sullivan had my trust issues working overtime with this book. every single character in Yours Truly made my internal alarm bells ring; even the ones who seemed harmless. i went in with my usual mantra when reading books like this: “not a single person or narrator can be trusted and i will not let anybody fool me.” and oh, i was right to be suspicious.

the story is told through four different POVs and each one is unreliable in its own unique way. every character filters reality through their emotions, fears and self-justifications. its incredibly fascinating (and unsettling) to watch how differently they each perceive the same events. i loved how it kept me guessing and constantly trying to figure out who was lying, who was delusional and who was the most reliable narrator or person.

and when the truth finally comes out and all the puzzle pieces start fitting together? oh, it was brilliant and a little stressful. having everything slowly make sense and the dread of what it all meant for the guilty party was very well done.

it was clever, tense and full of unreliable chaos. Yours Truly was the kind of book that had me reading it in every free moment i could find because i was dying to know how it ended.

I LOVED this one so much!!! 5 glowing stars! Excellent thriller that will keep you guessing the whole time!

Synopsis: Talia Danvers is an engineer for a high-end dating app who hasn’t managed to code her own love life. Then she reconnects with Townsend Fuller: the one who got away. Or, more accurately, the one who left her for someone else. But Townsend swears he’s a changed man, and Talia wants to believe him. Even if he is the prime suspect in the disappearance of Amanda Reade, the same woman who broke them up in the first place. Amanda’s sister Kaitlyn is convinced Townsend is behind her sister’s disappearance, or at least knows more than he is letting on. Talia’s colleague and best friend Meera Ratnam agrees—and she’ll risk everything to convince Talia that she’s making a horrible, and possibly deadly, mistake. Then Talia starts receiving menacing anonymous texts from Amanda. Suddenly, no one knows what to believe. Is Townsend guilty? Is Amanda alive? Is someone playing games? Featuring unreliable narrators and written with acid wit and creeping unease, Yours Always is a mind-bending tale of dangerous and devoted love.

Yours Always was a fast, fun, easy read full of unexpected twists and turns and I flew through it in just a couple of days. This psychological suspense thriller full of unreliable narrators kept me utterly enthralled. I was drawn into the story immediately and it had me guessing up until the very end! This book is told from the perspectives of different characters, so it has multiple narrators that are all morally gray and give off some kind of red flag… and you have no idea who is telling the truth and who is lying. There were so many cliffhangers at the ends of most of the chapters which made it really difficult to put down! I was so confused as to what the heck was going on and just wanted to keep reading to get answers! I kept guessing different explanations for what was happening and STILL got it completely wrong. The ending was mind-blowing and there are twisty, unexpected, jaw-dropping reveals up until the very last page!

I also had the amazing opportunity to do an immersive read with this one thanks to NetGalley and Corinne Sullivan providing me with an ALC, which truly even further elevated my reading experience. The audiobook is incredible and the different narrators are all excellent and engaging! It was so fun to follow along in the physical book while hearing the narrator’s voices tell the story. This is my first book by this author but it definitely won’t be my last! I highly recommend this book to everyone!

Thank you to Corinne Sullivan, Thomas & Mercer, and NetGalley for the gifted copy! This is a voluntary and honest review.

3.25⭐️

Welp… I picked this up purely because of the author’s name to knock out a reading challenge box, and as a bonus it looked like a fun thriller right up my alley.

Unfortunately… this one was predictable. And not just my usual “I’ve read a lot of thrillers so I can guess a twist or two” predictable. I’m talking every single twist and reveal was clocked well before it hit the page.

And normally? I don’t mind that. I actually like being able to see where a story is going and then sit back and enjoy how the author gets me there. But this time it felt less like a ride and more like… work. Like I was just waiting for the book to catch up to me.

I wrestled with my rating and initially rounded up to a 4⭐️ but the more I sat with it— it was ingenuous of me so I corrected it. That said, I can see this finding its audience. There’s a comfort in predictability for some readers, and if you’re newer to thrillers, this could very well still feel twisty and engaging.

I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Carly Robins, and she honestly did a lot of the heavy lifting here. The plot is very slow to start, but she keeps things moving at a steady, pleasant pace and made it easy to stick with.

From a production standpoint, it wasn’t the most polished audiobook I’ve listened to, but nothing stood out as distracting or problematic—it just didn’t quite have that extra shine.

I do recommend this to my thriller-loving friends—but specifically the ones who are newer to the genre or still get surprised by most twists. If you’re a seasoned thriller reader, you might find yourself a few steps ahead the entire time.

Sometimes it’s not about whether the twists are there—it’s about whether they beat you to the finish line… and this one didn’t.

I am thankful to have received a complimentary ALC from Brilliance Audio via NetGalley, which gave me the opportunity to share my voluntary thoughts.

In the past, Talia Danvers and Townsend Fuller dated until one day she walked in and found him in bed with Amanda Reade. Talia works as an engineer for a dating app and is still trying to find someone to spend her life with. She bumps into Townsend on the lake in Austin. He invites her to go see the bats take flight at sunset under the Congress Street bridge. She is lucky because it's a beautiful experience for her. When I was there they did not leave from under the bridge, so good for Talia that she got to experience this with Townsend. Townsend and Talia fall back into their old habits. He apologizes for cheating and she forgives him. Talia's co-worker Meera does not trust Townsend and she never misses and opportunity to let Talia know how she feels. Meanwhile one night while Townsend and Talia are together, there is a knock at the door. Two police officers are there to question Townsend because Amanda, the former lover has been reported missing by her sister, Kaitlyn and she is convinced Townsend is the culprit. Talia begins to receive frightening texts from Amanda and from that point on the book takes you on a twisty ride. Who is guilty? Who is following Talia? Is Amanda dead or alive? At one point in this book, I suspected every character and was surprised by the ending.
4.5 stars because I it would have enjoyed it even more without the tech talk. Overall a hard to put down psychological thriller that leaves you guessing until the end.

I’ll be honest—I really wanted to love this book. The premise had so much potential, and going in, I was ready to be completely hooked. And to be fair, it did pull me in right away. The prologue is incredibly gripping—you’re dropped into a tense, dangerous moment with just enough detail to spark your curiosity without giving anything away. That sense of mystery had me immediately invested, eager to piece everything together.

When Talia and Townsend reunite in Chapter One, it adds another layer of intrigue. There’s an underlying tension between them that isn’t explosive right off the bat, but it’s definitely there, simmering beneath the surface. It made me want to keep reading to understand their history and where things might go.

One of the book’s biggest strengths is how effortlessly readable it is. The chapters are perfectly paced—long enough to feel substantial, but never dragging. I found myself flying through them without even realizing it, always wanting “just one more chapter.” The story flows smoothly, making it incredibly easy to stay immersed.

That said, while the book delivers plenty of twists and a cast full of unreliable, morally questionable characters, not all of the surprises hit as hard as I hoped. Some felt a bit predictable, which took away from the overall impact. I kept waiting for that wow moment—that twist that would completely floor me—and it never quite got there.

Still, Corinne Sullivan’s writing is undeniably compelling. There’s a natural, fluid quality to it that makes everything feel accessible and engaging. She strikes a great balance with description—vivid enough to bring scenes to life, but never so heavy that it slows the story down. It’s the kind of writing that makes reading feel effortless.

In the end, this is a book I genuinely enjoyed, even if it didn’t live up to the high expectations I had going in. It’s gripping, fast-paced, and entertaining—just not quite as unforgettable as I wanted it to be. This is my first read by this author and I definitely look forward to reading more. I see a good future for this author.

Solid Twists

At no point did I know who was guilty. I was only sure one person wasn't, and even that's a stretch. This was incredibly well done.

idk how i feel about this one. the author sets you up to believe it’s this one woman who killed the mistress so to say but then within the last 30 pages everything is flipped around and it was actually someone else who “killed” the mistress. hated Townsend he was just so sus and to have all these women fawning over him was so meh. i’m just like who even did it and what did they even do - feel like im just missing a good chunk of story line lol.

Well, IMHO, this is a one-trick pony type of mystery/suspense book. The whole point is to get you to guess and re-guess who did it. And then the end makes little sense. Moreover, none of the characters are likable -- which is part of the point, I imagine, to keep you wondering. But you have to like and root for someone or you don't get vested in the story. Too tricksy for me and then a nonsensical ending.

Tnx NetGalley & Thomas & Mercer for the arc!

This book was interesting enough to make me read it in one go. Talia, our FMC, felt like a good character... a bit too naive maybe. It felt like she really liked Townsend and even after he cheated, she still took him back. Ofc, this is all in the beginning... (ahemmm)

Now, Townsend…he started as a total red flag. From the first few chapters, you could tell something was off. Between the cheating and his sketchy startup, I had my doubts about him from the start. I knew it was too easy for him to be the criminal, but I also knew he wasn't a nice guy who made one dumb mistake.

The pacing was actually good, didn’t feel slow or draggy, it went straight through with steady suspense. There wasn’t really any romance, even though Talia and Townsend were back together, it was more about manipulation and mind games.

I loved the multiple POVs and the unreliable characters. The writing style was simple and easy to follow, which made it a super fast read. And that ending? Honestly, I didn’t see the end twist coming, even though I thought I had the story all figured out.

Overall, it’s an easy, quick psychological read, perfect if you’re in the mood for something twisty but not too heavy.

2.5⭐️

I saw the twist coming from a mile away so it took away from the shock factor for me but I think a lot of readers who don’t read a lot of thrillers or are new to the thriller genre will most likely enjoy this one!

Reconnecting exes Talia and Townsend sort through their past mistakes together when their relationship takes a dark turn. People from their past come back to haunt them and make each of them reflect on all of their past mistakes and relationships.

It took me a while to pick a book however once I noticed “Yours Always”, i knew right away that i want to read it.
The premise was intriguing and entertaining as I completely immersed myself into the story as i could not put down the book.
I enjoyed the multiple POV, mainly the interesting idea that once a character is introduced, next chapter starts with their POV by continuing the story. I liked that the author gives you clues so you can guess what’s happening but also keeps you doubting till the end.
I’m rating only 4 stars as the final twist of the book just did not make sense for me, like I get it- that’s the shocking part, but why would it ever happen? Also the behavior at the end of one character was just over the top… if the ending would be less telenovela type but kept more simple, it would’ve been 5 stars for me.

Overall, I can only recommend this book and looking forward reading more books by the author.

A big thank you to Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

intriguing story when a very unsatisfying end

A long read that left me feeling that I had wasted my time by slogging through it. Loose ends, implausible explanations. I did enjoy its being set in Austin.

It was a very interesting read that had you guessing who to trust. Many times, thrillers have a hard time making other people seem able to be criminals. I feel like the author did a great job of making everyone sem worthy. The multi povs was a nice way to see how it was through their eyes. It also was a fun way to see clues come in from each person.

I think it would have been better if the blurb for this story didn’t mention unreliable narrators, because that tells you right there that you won’t be able to believe everything you’re reading. I suppose the trick is for the reader to figure out who is unreliable and who is not, but seasoned readers won’t have a hard time with that.

Talia and Meera are female engineers for a dating app who have been friends for a few years when Talia reconnects with an old flame. Townsend cheated on her before with Amanda, who has now been labeled a missing person thanks to the concerns of her sister, Kaitlyn. Meera is frustrated that Talia’s making the same mistake twice, and Talia’s frustrated that Meera won’t give him a chance to prove he’s changed.

Now that Kaitlyn has reported Amanda missing, the police become involved and focus on Townsend. Then Talia receives threatening messages purporting to be from Amanda, and no one knows what to believe. Except, the author gives way too many clues throughout, and I knew both who the guilty party was and what the plan was. When everything is obviously pointing one way, it’s of course not going to be that obvious. That’s about all I can say without spoilers, but I wish that wasn’t the case because there are some serious flaws with the ending.

I like that the author was trying for something different, but it doesn’t work with all the loose threads still hanging out there at the end. Maybe if there were a sequel that explained what was going on for certain characters during certain periods, it would be better. Then questions could be answered and plot holes resolved, etc. But otherwise, it just doesn’t work.
