Sami

Getting involved with someone new after my divorce was the last thing I expected.

Then I met him.

Loyal.

A younger bad boy who belongs to a motorcycle club.

I shouldn’t want him. Especially when he is only a few years older than my daughter, but I’ve come to crave the safety and peace he brings me.

The only problem is my daughter won’t accept him.

Do I risk my relationship with my daughter for true happiness or do I let him slip through my fingers and make the sacrifice?

Loyal

My sole focus has always been the club that took me in when I needed it most.

Until I saw her.

Sami.

The single mom who is a decade older than me.

I knew I wanted her the moment I laid eyes on her. It’s why I bought a house to be close to her.

There are powers that be that don’t want us together though. Society, her daughter, and the sleazy ex-husband who seems to think that she belongs to him.

I’m not one to give up easy though. I will fight for her until my dying breath.

Should I read in order?
I picked this one up alone even though it’s book 3 in the series and found it super readable alone! I’m not sure how well you get to know Loyal or Sami in the prior books. It sounds like maybe in a prior story, Loyal and another member investigated Sami.

Basic plot:
Loyal has loved Sami from afar – even going so far as to buy the house across the street from her to keep an eye on her. When she needs help, he’s there immediately and it begins a relationship for them.

Give this a try if you want:
- contemporary romance
- Motorcycle Club hero
- age gap – she’s older by a decade – he’s closer to the age of her daughter
- divorced heroine who’s still battling her ex
- she has a 17 year old daughter
- he only will tell his real name to the woman he’s going to marry (spoiler: it’s her)
- lower relationship angst / higher external angst (they are together, other things are trying to tear them apart)
- medium steam – there’s like 5-6 full scenes but they are pretty short (some only a few paragraphs) so I felt it was a touch lighter

Ages:
- when they first meet, he’s 21 and she’s 32, almost 33. Most of the story takes place a year later

First line:
This cannot be happening.

My thoughts:
I think this one has a lot to love about it, especially if you like reads with easy relationships that fight outside angst. I definitely prefer my relationship angst and the push and pull between two mains so this didn’t hit quite as good for me.

I was a bit disappointed that we get to the first meeting in the prologue, and then the first chapter jumped ahead an entire year and they are basically together in a secret relationship. This skipped over so many of my favorite parts in romance, the newness of getting to know each other – learning to be vulnerable and that uncertainty that can just emotionally tear you up. First kisses, etc. This one spent most of the time on a fast paced plot trying to pull the mains apart.

I did love how Loyal was just so 100% in though. How sweet he was with Sami, how protective. How he kept her safe every chance he could and was there for her in every way. I loved how supportive he was while Sami struggled with her daughter and ex-husband. I was getting so frustrated with the events pulling at the mains (as it was meant to be!) so I really appreciated the ending where it was all resolved.

I think if you want a plot focused, fast paced read of a motorcycle club hero falling hard for a nurse and doing everything to protect her and keep her family safe this would be a great one to pick up.

This book completely stole my heart. Cala Riley delivers an emotional, swoon-worthy motorcycle club romance that proves love doesn’t always follow society’s rules.

Sami is such a relatable heroine. After everything she’s been through, watching her slowly open herself to love again felt authentic and deeply satisfying. Loyal may be younger, but his unwavering devotion, patience, and fierce protectiveness made him feel like the most mature person in the room. He isn’t just a biker with a leather jacket. He’s loyal in every sense of the word, and the way he loves Sami is impossible not to fall for.

The age-gap dynamic was handled with care, adding emotional depth instead of unnecessary drama. Between the tension with Sami’s daughter, her possessive ex-husband, and the pressures of the MC world, there was never a dull moment. Every obstacle only made me root harder for these two.

If you love:
🖤 Age-gap romance
🏍️ Motorcycle clubs
🖤 Protective, obsessed hero
🏍️ Strong single mom FMC
🖤 Emotional healing
🏍️ “I’ll fight for you” devotion
🖤 Plenty of heart with just the right amount of spice

This book delivers all of it. Loyal is the kind of book boyfriend who doesn’t just say he’ll protect you, he quietly proves it every single day. I couldn’t put this one down and I’m already excited for more from this series.

Man, Loyal could really just shoot up to the top of book boyfriend list. The calm but fierce lover/proctor.
When he starts using “my girls” SWOON

My only thing i didn’t love is how many times it was mentioned about her being older. Also it made it seem sometimes like Sami was 55 and he was 18 😅 but all in all it was very good, i think i want to go back to the beginning and see the whole picture of the lotus MC 💦

I just knew that Loyal was going to be so good from the small glimpses we got of him in the previous books.

Sami was an L&D nurse attempting to move on from a divorce. Her ex wasn't on the same page at all. He wanted her back and he would stop at nothing to do so. The encounters between them continued and as they escalated so did the need for Loyal to insert himself in her life more and more.

He thoroughly loved her and what she brought into his life. I'd say the love for her and for his club were neck and neck. He'd stop at nothing to protect his brothers and his girl. He'd love her on her terms until she realized what they had - the secret rendezvous that made the longing for one another more prominent. When the morning came, they were back to just being neighbors.

These two were so good for each other. Loyal waited patiently for her to be ready to try again. To trust someone with her heart, to trust that she would be loved, that she could lean on someone else again. He loved her through every step of it. So so good.

Loyal lives up to his road name more than any other character. He is steadfast in his pursuit of Sami and never wavers on supporting her while she deals with the hand that life dealt her.

Sami is a strong woman in her own right. She has a horrible ex husband who is doing everything to tear her down.

Their daughter, Farrah, who is 17 and portrayed perfectly with anger, sadness and confusion as she lashes out but finds her own way back to herself.

The chemistry with Loyal and Farrah was so good! They had a secret fling for a year which amped up when they were finally in the open.

This series just gets better! I can’t wait for the next book!

Thanks to Cala Riley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Her daughter is SUCH a brat, and I just can’t with her all of a sudden turn around personality transplant. I hate her and can’t read about her suddenly being funny and buddy buddy with the MCs. I’m also, once again, complaining about contractions. This needed some badly. While there were some contractions, they weren’t always there when needed, and it made the writing and dialogue sound stilted to me

Thank you to Hambright PR and Cala Riley for an arc of Loyal in exchange for an honest review.
I love me an mc romance! This book is exactly what I needed right now. I truly had so much fun reading this. And man oh man, do I love a man obsessed…
That being said, some of the dialogue felt a little funky sometimes, almost like it was worded in a way people don’t talk, so that took me out of it at some points.
I also got a little tired of the repetitiveness. I wish it had built slower and not been the same danger over and over.
But Loyal and Sami’s love was everything. I thoroughly enjoyed reading when they were together.
I will most likely continue the series because that cliffhangerrrrr…I need to know what happens next!

Honestly, I was not sure about this book from the blurb. Reverse age gaps can be hit or miss for me. Why did I doubt Cala Riley? I was hooked from the beginning. Every character was written to perfection. Farrah, Sami’s teenage daughter, gave us all the anger, frustration, and actions we expect of a teenager in this situation. That we rarely get, or it is glossed over.

Loyal, who we have met prior, lives up to his name. His actions to support and pursue Sami, always put her first, she has challenges from all angles. He knows what he wants, what is important, and patience will get him there.

This series has been one great book after another, and I am ready for the next in the series.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Loyal by Cala Riley completely stole my heart. Loyal is the definition of a man whose actions speak louder than his words. Once he chooses Sami, there is no hesitation—he loves fiercely, protects relentlessly, and never stops making her feel like she’s worth fighting for.
This wasn’t just an MC romance full of tension and chemistry; it was also an emotional journey about healing, trust, and building a family. One of my favorite parts of Sami and Loyal’s story was watching Loyal’s relationship with her daughter, Farrah, develop. Even though Farrah was close in age to Loyal, she didn’t let that stand in the way of seeing how much he truly loved her mother and how much her mother loved him. More than anything, she wanted to see Sami happy, and she understood that her dad wasn’t in the right state of mind to give her mother what she deserved.
The bond that develops between Loyal and Farrah was such a meaningful part of the story. It wasn’t about replacing anyone—it was about understanding, acceptance, and seeing the happiness that Loyal brought into Sami’s life. Farrah’s willingness to embrace their relationship added so much emotional depth and showed how much she cared about her mother’s happiness.
Loyal quickly became one of my favorite book boyfriends. He isn’t perfect, but he’s dependable, protective, and endlessly supportive—the kind of hero who falls first and never stops choosing the woman he loves and the family they’re building together.
If you love:
● 🏍️ Protective MC heroes
● ❤️ He falls first
● 🖤 “You’re mine” energy
● 🫶 Found family
● 👨‍👧 A hero who earns the love and trust of the heroine’s family
● 🔥 Slow-building chemistry with emotional depth
● 💍 A hero who’s loyal to a fault
…then this book deserves a spot on your TBR.
Cala Riley delivered a story that had me smiling, swooning, and emotionally invested from beginning to end. The love, loyalty, and family bonds made this story even more special, and I already can’t wait to read more from this series.

There is just something about Cala Riley’s writing that I love. I feel like I just fly right through every one of her books and this was no exception. I don’t read a lot of MC books, but this makes me want to change that, pronto. I hadn’t read books 1 and 2 before this and I still loved the experience. Now I need to go back and read the others.

Loyal knows what he wants, he is just waiting for her to realize he is what she needs. Keeping an eye on the single mom that is a decade his senior has become his life.

Sami has been in a serious and committed marriage for over half her life. She is finally free and is looking to do what makes her life happy. She doesn’t want to settle down and get married again; she can’t take things seriously. That is until she meets Loyal, she knows what he wants and she is scared to commit.

This was without a doubt my favourite book in the series. We got glimpses into Loyal in the first two books but I was so excited to have his story all of his own.

This book stressed me TF out. Between Sami’s ex husband harassing her and not respecting the boundaries outlines by the courts and Farrah doing her absolute best to make Sami’s life absolutely miserable, I also would have clung onto Loyal life a lifeline. Watching Sami grow more confidence after being open with her relationship with Loyal was great and I loved getting to know more about Loyal in this book. I definitely had my reservations with him since he is so young, but this book proved he is worthy of his position in the MC.

Unsure if we are getting another book in this series but if yes, I will be checking it out.

Thank you to Cala Riley and Hambright PR for the advanced copy of this book. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This one had me hooked!

So when I saw this book I have to admit I got it just for the name! My last name is Loyal so I just couldn’t resist! I ended up loving it! I hadn’t read any others in this series yet but I will definitely be continuing. It was fun reading a reverse age gap for once and even though he was younger he was extremely mature and beyond supportive and loving. The ending left me wanting to read the next one already!

This is my favorite so far in this series, and I highly recommend reading this series in order for the best experience.

Loyal is absolutely adorable with his attention to Sami. He definitely proves that the reverse age gap doesn't matter at all. I appreciated his steady, calm presence in her life and has the club's support behind him.

Being close to the age of her daughter Farrah but dating her mother is a problem for her ex, and the drama he caused kept the pages flipping.

I recommend this author duo, and appreciate my ARC. My thoughts are left voluntarily.

(I received an ARC for this book)

trigger warnings will be at the bottom of this review, to avoid spoilers
This story focuses heavily on a bad divorce/custody/ex and a teenager struggling with her parents’ divorce. The MMC is a member of an MC with a connection to a cartel and illegal activity occurs on page. Violence on page involving physical altercations and gun violence. Discussions of childhood trauma.

Loyal is the hot new biker that moved in next door. Sami is the older single mom drowning in emotional meltdowns from her teenager thanks to a crappy ex-husband. For a whole year, this man sneaks in during the night for stress relief. For her. Because he’s busy falling in love during those stolen moments. And just like the rest of his found family, Loyal has the perfect road name. When it matters most, when she needs him most, he doesn’t hesitate. Loyal is the most loving, protective bodyguard for Sami and her daughter. He was the right guy, at the right time. And his found family? The perfect fit for Sami and her daughter.

There were some moments that weren’t for me. That probably stems from me being a single mom to a daughter. But it didn’t take away from the story.

My Favorite Quotes:
• “I don’t give two f!cks. I just want you.”
• “Watch me f!ck you.”
• “It would be an honor to cuddle you.”
• “God, you are such a good f!cking girl. A goddess, really. The way you take my c!ck, it’s like you were made for me. You were made for me, weren’t you?”
• “I protect what’s important.”
• “I will never not want you.”

Trigger Warnings include:
An ex husband is causing a bad divorce, custody issues, gaslighting in relation to, degrading comments, provoking behavior, bribery, manipulation and coercion involving a child. An emotional and angry teenager who says terrible things to and about a parent, tries to make advances towards a MC. An MC gets into an altercation with a side character, both end up in jail. LOYAL is the third instalment in Cala Riley’s contemporary, adult LOTUS MC: SAN ANTONIO erotic, MC romance series, a spin off set in the author’s LOTUS MC world. This is twenty-two year old, Lotus MC VP Matt ‘Loyal’ Green, and thirty-three year old, L&D nurse Sami Abrahams’ story line. LOYAL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Loyal and Sami) LOYAL follows the age-gap romance and relationship between our story line couple. Divorcee, single mother and nurse Sami Abrahams finds herself attracted to her much younger neighbor but as the mother of a teenaged daughter, Sami struggles with what people will say including her ex who refuses to let go. Matt ‘Loyal’ Green knows what he wants, and he wants our story line heroine but he no longer wants to be Sami’s ‘dirty little secret’, and once their relationship is made public, Sami’s ex refuses to back, and will use any means necessary to take back what doesn’t belong.

The world building follows the slow building relationship between Sami and Loyal as they must navigate the bumps and accusations by Sami’s ex. At every opportunity, Sami and Loyal will be targeted, and Sami’s daughter will be caught in the middle between her warring parents.

The relationship between Sami and Loyal begins as a friends with benefits but one year later, Loyal is hoping for something more. Sami and Loyal have kept their relationship a secret but once revealed , Sami finds herself the target of vengeance, and her daughter playing along. The $ex scenes are provocative and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are familiar, energetic and protective. We are reintroduced to several members of the Lotus MC: San Antonio, and their significant others, as well as the introduction of Sami’s daughter Farrah, and her ex Billy Abrahams.

LOYAL is a story of betrayal and vengeance, obsession and madness, secrets and lies, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is thought provoking, real and twisted; the romance is sensitive and lively; the characters are sassy, desperate and determined.

Loyal, is a heartfelt, steamy age gap MC romance that hits all the right notes for fans of protective heroes and second chance love.

We start with Sami having to change a tyre, her neighbour sees her and assists, they flirt, they have dinner…..

Sami is a divorced single mum trying to rebuild her life when Loyal crashes into her world. He’s younger, rough around the edges, and deeply tied to the Lotus MC, yet he brings her a sense of safety and peace she hasn’t felt in years.

What starts as unexpected attraction quickly deepens into something real and intense.

I loved/hated reading Sami’s internal struggle, torn between her own happiness and her fear of damaging her relationship with her daughter. It felt raw, especially the guilt and longing that come with choosing yourself after years of putting others first.

Loyal is the kind of hero who makes you swoon. From the moment he sees Sami, he’s all in, buying a house just to be near her, fighting against her ex, society’s judgment, and club complications without hesitation. His devotion is fierce but never over the top. The way he respects Sami’s boundaries while still pursuing her with quiet determination makes him a hero in my eyes.

The romance is passionate and well balanced. There’s plenty of heat, but the emotional core…. Loyal’s willingness to fight for Sami and her journey toward reclaiming her own desires, gives the story a little something extra. The daughter’s disapproval adds tension without feeling forced, and the (ex) husband drama brings just enough conflict to keep things moving.

This book has that addictive pull of forbidden love mixed with found family vibes from the club. It’s comforting in its predictability while still delivering satisfying emotional payoff.

I felt a little sorry for Loyal, he wanted a life with Sami. She was still feeling guilty about putting her daughter through a divorce (Farrah wants her parents back together) and so won’t commit to Loyal. I did wonder if at some point Loyal would walk away!

If you enjoy age gap romances with a protective biker hero, a strong single mom and stories about choosing love despite the obstacles, Loyal is a winner.

Once I finished it, I was wanting to find out more of the Lotus MC world and rooting hard for Sami and Loyal’s future.

A solid, satisfying read that left me smiling.

ARC Review of Loyal Book 3 in the Lotus MC: San Antonio Series by Cala Riley This book is part of an interconnected series but can be read as a standalone. I love this series and this book it’s a 5 star read for me. I love Motorcycle Club romances and this one is so so good. I loved all the emotions, suspense, drama, and tension along with the romance in this book. I love the reverse age gap in this book. I love the Lotus MC and the family they are and how they take care of their own and are always there for each other. This is Sami and Loyal’s story. Loyal is in his early twenties but he’s so mature, patient, understanding and treats Sami so well. I absolutely love him he is so protective, sweet, caring, and such an amazing guy. He is the ultimate book boyfriend. I love Sami she is so strong and such a good mom even though her daughter makes me want to scream. Sami is always putting others first. I hate Sami's ex and what he puts her through he is insane. I hate how hard her ex and daughter make it on her for dating Loyal. I love her with Loyal and am so glad he found her. This is a slow burn, spicy, small town, found family, divorced single mom, neighbors, 11 year reverse age gap, suspenseful motorcycle club romance. Sami is 33 she is a labor and delivery nurse and a divorced single mom to her 17 year old daughter. Loyal is 22 and is the vice president of the Lotus Motorcycle Club San Antonio Chapter. Sami and Loyal are neighbors and have been secretly hooking up exclusively for the past year. Loyal is in love with Sami and wants to be in a real relationship with her but she’s scared of what her daughter, ex husband, and others will think. He doesn’t want to keep being her dirty little secret. She is hesitant but wants to be happy and to start living her life again freely and openly. She takes the chance and they start officially dating. Her daughter and ex are not happy she’s dating Loyal and try to do everything they can to break them up. Loyal is calm and steady the whole time. He is committed to Sami and will do anything for her. I love how she accepts Loyal for who he is and accepts the Lotus MC. I love how they become her and her daughters found family. I absolutely loved this book I feel like there was never a dull moment and I loved the ending I definitely recommend this book.

Loyal is book three in the Lotus MC: San Antonio Chapter by Cala Riley. This is a reverse age gap romance between Loyal, the Vice President of the Lotus MC and single mum Samantha (Sami). At the end of Fang, we knew Loyal had fallen for an older woman. His road name tells you exactly what type of guy he is and now hopefully he will find his HEA with Sami.

Sami lives with her daughter Farrah and is dealing with her ex husband who is furious she’s divorced him and wants her back. One night she has a flat tyre but luckily her new neighbour helps her. He is a gorgeous guy with intense green eyes and a motorbike but far too young for her. She feels guilty over her attraction towards him but her coworker and best friend Gina insists she starts living again and forget about the decade between them. She offers him dinner and it changes her life forever.

We catch up with the couple a year later. She is a midwife at the local hospital and Loyal is at Boudoir working for Fang, who teases him over his cougar after a funny incident one night at her house. Sami has kept their relationship a secret from Farrah. She can’t get over how well Loyal treats her but she isn’t ready to let him totally into her life, so they friends with benefits.

Loyal will do anything for her because from the moment he saw her he fell hard and knew she was perfect for him. He needs to convince her he is serious and not bothered by her age. He’s worried she doesn’t see a future with him but loves her so is patient and will wait for her to commit to him.

We find out about his sad childhood and how he survived until he joined the MC. How and why he came to live next door to her and his immediate need to protect her. How a pregnant Sami was forced to marry Billy and then endured years of his selfishness. Now he won’t leave her alone or abide by the court rules.

Their casual affair starts to change when her ex accuses her of being with the biker. Farrah demands her mum ends it with Loyal so who will Sami choose? Being a good mother is everything to Sami and she needs to put her daughter first. Loyal is so sweet and understanding especially when coping with a conniving Farrah.

Billy causes trouble for the couple and the MC. He manipulates Farrah and makes Sami question if she should break up with Loyal. An event makes her realise how dangerous his life is but he introduces her to everyone at the club. When things escalate Sami is shocked by the support she gets from the MC.

Can Loyal keep his Sami Mami? Will Farrah accept their relationship? We get a lovely ending for the couple and Gina is hilarious when she visits the clubhouse. However devastating news for Happy concerning Penelope ready for the next book.

I have been hooked on the Lotus MC: San Antonio series from the very beginning, and with every release, the dynamic duo of Cala Riley prove more and more why this series has become such an addictive, raw and emotional MC romance ride. With book three, Loyal, they may just have delivered my favourite yet.

Loyal gives us a perfectly blended reverse age-gap romance, and for me, that is absolute genre kryptonite. Yes, Loyal is only twenty-one, but honestly? You never truly feel that age difference. Life has forced him to grow up far too quickly, and carrying the responsibility of being Vice President of the club means he comes across as wise far beyond his years. From the very first page, you feel the weight he carries, but also the depth of loyalty that completely defines him.

And that name? It could not fit him more perfectly.

Loyal is fiercely devoted to his club, but the moment Sami steps into his world, his loyalty to her shines through every single page. Sami is thirty-two, a divorced mother trying to hold herself and her teenage daughter together after a marriage that left more damage behind than she wants to admit. Add in an ex-husband who seems determined to make life difficult at every turn, and emotions are running high throughout this story.

What absolutely captured me, though, was the way Loyal became Sami’s safe place. The chemistry between them is sizzling from the start, but underneath all that heat is a man who simply wants to stand beside her and carry some of the weight she has been forced to shoulder alone. Swoon all the way for this man.

This story is definitely a bumpy ride. Club drama, outside threats, an ex causing chaos, and a teenage daughter caught in the middle all add layers of tension and emotion that kept me completely hooked. But amongst all the chaos, there is also this beautiful journey of Sami finally finding where she belongs. Watching her slowly connect with the women of the club and realise she has finally found people who truly see and support her was one of the strongest emotional elements of the book for me.

Sami is a strong woman and an incredible mother, but Cala Riley also reminds us that even the strongest people sometimes need someone beside them, and Loyal becomes exactly that for her. While Sami struggles at first with the age gap, it is really her ex who fuels so much of the doubt and tension surrounding their relationship. His constant need to cause problems and stir trouble adds another emotional layer to an already intense story, but through it all, Loyal never wavers. If anything, it only proves more just how devoted he is to Sami and the life she deserves.

Cala Riley really delivered with Loyal. Emotional, intense, heart-pounding and packed with chemistry, this series just keeps getting stronger, and I honestly cannot wait to see where the Lotus MC takes us next.

I was given the opportunity to read this book as an ARC, and I’m grateful to be part of the experience. Here’s my honest review.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read! I had a good time with the story, and there were definitely aspects I really liked.

One thing that didn’t fully work for me was how often the age gap was mentioned. I get it…🙄…it’s part of their story and relationship, but after a while, it started to feel repetitive, especially since I didn’t feel like it needed to be the main focus.

At times, the story didn’t flow as organically as I would have liked. There were moments where the characters had the perfect opportunity to have a deeper, more emotional conversation, but instead, it would swerve back into surface-level stuff. I really wanted more emotional depth in those moments.

The spice scenes are also pretty short compared to what I’m used to reading. Not necessarily a bad thing at all, but definitely something readers may have a preference about. I also noticed that a few scenes seemed to jump into sex pretty quickly, almost like the spice was just thrown in rather than naturally building into the moment. Some of the dialogue and lines were a little corny for me as well.

That being said, Loyal is an amazing boyfriend. He’s respectful, patient, and incredibly thoughtful, and I really enjoyed his character. I also loved the found family aspect! The side characters were interesting enough that they genuinely made me want to continue reading the other books in the series.

I also really enjoyed that there was action mixed in with the romance. I love when a romance gives me more than just the relationship and adds a little action and adventure into the story.

“He got his name for a reason… and Loyal absolutely lived up to it.”

Cala Riley has done it again. Loyal completely stole my heart from the very first chapter and refused to let go. This book perfectly balances romance, emotion, suspense, and found family, making it impossible to put down.

Loyal is everything I want in a book boyfriend—protective, patient, unwavering, and fiercely devoted. Once he decides Sami and her daughter are his, there isn’t a single thing he wouldn’t do for them. His loyalty isn’t just something he says; it’s something he proves over and over again through his actions, and that made me fall for him even harder.

I also loved Sami’s journey. She felt like a real person with real fears, and while she struggled with the age difference and the responsibilities of being a mother, her growth throughout the story made her easy to root for. Watching her slowly learn to trust and accept the love she deserved was incredibly satisfying.

The relationship development was one of my favorite parts. Nothing felt rushed, and every emotional moment hit exactly the way it was supposed to. The chemistry between Loyal and Sami was undeniable, the spice was amazing without overshadowing the story, and the emotional depth made every chapter even better.

As always with Cala Riley’s MC books, the found-family aspect shines. The Lotus MC brothers make every scene they’re in even more enjoyable, and they create the kind of family you wish you could be part of. There was just enough suspense woven into the romance to keep me turning pages long into the night.

If you’re looking for a motorcycle club romance with a protective hero, reverse age gap, emotional healing, incredible chemistry, and a hero whose name truly says it all, Loyal deserves a spot at the top of your TBR.

Another five-star read from Cala Riley, and I already can’t wait for the next book in the series. 🖤🏍️✨

Loyal was really good! Sami is a labor and delivery nurse who is trying to rebuild her life after a divorce, while Loyal is the younger biker next door who falls for her almost immediately and never once wavers. What starts as a secret relationship turns into a fight for their future when Sami’s ex-husband and daughter refuse to let go of the past.

Loyal ruined me a little. This man bought a house next door because he wanted to be close to her and then spent the entire book proving that loving someone is an action and not just a feeling. He was protective without being controlling, patient when Sami pushed him away, and somehow managed to be completely obsessed with her while still respecting her choices. Every time she doubted herself, he was right there reminding her she deserved happiness. Every time things got harder, he just dug his heels in deeper. There was never a moment where I questioned whether he would stay. As someone currently seeing a man who used to be part of a motorcycle club, I found myself connecting to this story in a way I wasn't expecting. There really is something different about the loyalty and respect they show to the people they claim as theirs. The protectiveness, the consistency, the way they take responsibility for the people they care about without making a big show of it felt pretty familiar to me. Once Loyal decided Sami and Farrah were his people, that was it. There was never any question about where his attention, effort, or devotion would go.

This ended up being a really good age-gap romance. There was a lot of healing, learning that you deserve more than survival mode, and finding people who make you feel safe enough to finally put your guard down. Loyal became that person for Sami, and watching him become that person for Farrah too made this one really special. If you like emotional MC romances, give this one a try!

Loyal by Cala Riley was my first book by this author, and now I am asking myself why I waited so long. Even though this is book 4 in the series, I was able to jump in and still completely fall for Loyal and Sami’s story. But now that I’ve read this one, I definitely need to go back and start with book 1 because I need more of this world and this MC family.

Thank you so much to @hambright_pr for allowing me to read and review this one before release date of June 4th.

I absolutely loved Sami and Loyal together. Their relationship had that perfect mix of forbidden, emotional, protective, and swoony. Sami is a single mom trying to find happiness again after divorce, but she is also dealing with guilt, judgment, and the fear of damaging her relationship with her daughter. Loyal, on the other hand, knew what he wanted from the beginning, and I loved how patient, steady, and protective he was with her. He may be younger and part of a motorcycle club, but he brought Sami so much peace and safety, and that made their connection even more beautiful.

The age gap, single mom, MC romance vibes were everything. I loved that this wasn’t just about the romance, but also about Sami learning that she deserves happiness too. Loyal fought for her in every way, and honestly, I was obsessed with how devoted he was.

And Billy? Let’s just say I hated him with a passion. Every time he showed up, I wanted him gone. He was the kind of character that made me so mad, but also made me root for Sami and Loyal even harder.

Overall, this was such an addictive read with romance, drama, tension, and a protective bad boy who completely stole my heart. I loved reading about Loyal and Sami, and I cannot wait to go back and read the rest of the series.

Tropes- single mom, mc romance, fling to lovers, found family, reverse age gap, mother and daughter drama, neighbors

Whew this book put me through the wringer it was such an emotional roller coaster but an amazing experience just like every book I’ve read by Cala and Riley. This may be my favorite in this series so far the love between loyal and Sami is so amazing and the character development with Farrah, Sami’s daughter was definitely amazing cause that girl was making me angry but I understood by the end she was just being manipulated by her dad.

Sami is so amazing l love her so much she was going through it in this book. Sami got married and pregnant at 16 and not by choice and now she’s divorced and putting her happiness first, I was so happy for that cause she deserves the world. Sami is such a strong fmc and I loved seeing her and Farrah repair their relationship and I can’t wait to see more of it hopefully in Farrah’s book *wink wink*

Loyal and Sami has been hooking up for a year now and both of them desperately what more but there’s so many obstacles in their way but one day Sami decided to change that and put her happiness first, but that doesn’t mean they’re out of danger from her ex harassing her.

Loyal my mannn, I’ve been waiting for his book since forever and it’s finally here and it did not disappoint I freaking love loyal that road name is definitely made for him. He’s such an amazing mmc and I love him so much and he deserves the world and I’m so glad he found a family who loves and gets him

These two are so amazing together, and their banter is also so sweet seeing them grow together was special cause they deserve each other real bad. I can’t wait for happy’s book cause that cliffhanger was crazyyy.

Thank You So Much for giving me this incredible arc !💐🖤

I’ve been on Cala and Riley’s ARC team for quite some time now, and they never cease to amaze me. They are incredibly talented and have such wild imaginations... lucky for us readers!

Loyal and Sami's story is another one of those great stories where you live every second alongside the characters, where the feelings are so raw you’d think you were right there with them.

This reverse age-gap, single-mom MC romance was packed with emotion, drama, found family, and a hero who truly lives up to his road name. Loyal may be a decade younger than Sami, but he is mature, patient, protective, and completely devoted to her from the very beginning. He only wants to see her happy, even if it meant leaving her alone. He supports and loves Sami wholeheartedly and is there for Farrah even when she is against him.

Sami got married at a very young age because it was "the right thing to do" and has spent years putting everyone else's happiness before her own. She finally chooses herself and fights for the love she deserves, which was heart-melting. She doubts her choices at times, but Loyal helps her feel alive again and allows her to be herself. The age gap never overshadowed their relationship because their chemistry (hot and steamy), trust, and emotional connection made them feel perfect for each other. Her controlling ex and Farrah's struggles added tension to the story and made it feel even more realistic.

The Lotus MC, of which Loyal is a member, welcomed Sami and Farrah with open arms and offered them love, support, and protection when danger comes knocking. They are the kind of found family everyone wishes they had.

Sweet, emotional, and full of heart, this was a wonderful story about finding love when you least expect it and having the courage to hold on to it. One of my favorite books in the series so far!

Loyal follows Sami, a divorced single mom and labor & delivery nurse who is trying to rebuild her life after a painful marriage. Her younger biker neighbor, Loyal, has been quietly falling for her for a long time. What starts as a secret arrangement slowly turns into something deeper as Loyal proves again and again that he is all in. Between family drama, a controlling ex-husband, and the fear of being judged because of their age gap, Sami has to decide if she is ready to take a chance on real happiness.
This book was such a sweet surprise. I absolutely adored Loyal. This man was loyal in every sense of the word. The way he loved Sami, protected her, supported her, and never gave up on her had me smiling the entire book.
The age gap was done so well. Loyal may have been younger, but he felt mature, dependable, and completely devoted. Sami's struggles felt realistic and I understood why she kept holding herself back. Watching her slowly accept that she deserved love was one of my favorite parts.
The chemistry between these two was amazing. Their relationship felt natural, emotional, and full of heart. Loyal constantly reminded Sami that she was worthy of being loved, and honestly, he set the standard.
The family drama and the toxic ex added just enough tension to keep me invested without taking away from the romance. I loved seeing Loyal step up and show everyone exactly who he was.
A sweet, emotional, and swoony age-gap romance with a hero that completely stole my heart.
Thank you hambrightpr for the ARC!

This is my first time reading a novel written by Cala Riley, and I find this book amazingly written. I had such a great time reading this book - I went through so many different emotions as I was reading it.

Sami, or Samantha, is in love with her neighbor, Loyal, who is at least a decade younger than her and is part of a motorcycle club. The first year of their "dating" Loyal wanted their relationship to become more official, but Sami was a little hesitant because age is a problem, considering she also has a teenage daughter who is not much younger than Loyal himself. But Loyal did not care about their age gap, nor does he care about what other people think about their relationship - all he cares about is that he loves Sami and wants to treat her the way that she deserves. He is also patient with Farrah, even though she has consistently made rude comments to Sami and Loyal about their relationship.

I feel so bad for Sami because she really does not deserve her daughter's attitude. I can understand that growing up with divorced parents may be hard, especially when one of the parents is falling in love with someone else. But that is not an excuse for Farrah to be such a brat and to threaten Sami's relationship with Loyal. Yes, the age gap between Sami and Loyal is HUGE - reverse age gap - but as Sami and Loyal mentioned, they are both consenting adults. If anything, Loyal is more mature than Farrah's father, and boy does that man-child really pisses me off every time he shows up.

I do recommend reading this book because the way Loyal treats Sami with so much love, care, and patience will just make you swoon.

I would like to thank Hambright PR for sending the ARC version of this book :) I would also like to thank the author for writing such an amazing book. I hardly ever read books where one of the tropes is motorcycle club, but I had such a great time reading this one.

✨️ARC REVIEW✨️

I knew Loyal would be my favorite! He was the best, and the most supportive partner a girl could ask for. The fact that he was younger than Sami meant even more with how freaking good he was.

Loyal wanted Sami, but he was willing to wait for her, and he let her set the pace for their relationship. He stood by her through everything her daughter and ex put her through...

Sami was such a good person, she kept putting everyone else before her own needs. I liked that she gave Loyal a chance even though she wasnt all in at first, she was willing to take a chance knowing Loyal was in the MC and it would be problematic for her..

I enjoyed their relationship, even the moments where Sami had doubts and pissed me off because she kept hurting Loyal unintentionally...she was gone for the man but the fear of losing her daughter was holding her back..

Farrah did piss me off SO MUCH 😒 she let her POS dad manipulate her and she made her mom's life hell. She was 17, she should've known better...but Im glad she cane around on her own and realized what a jackass her father was..

Loyal was the absolute best, he put up with Farrah even when he didn't have to. He supported Sami and put their safety first every time. The way he protected and cared for Farrah was beautiful. He really would've done anything for either of them.

I loved how the guys rallied around them and also protected them, they're a true family. The girls were awesome with Sami!! I can't wait to get to Laura's story, she still has so much unresolved trauma 🥹

I need Happy's book ASAP that ending was absolutely wild. I need more!! This series is just perfect 👌🏽 I'm excited for the next books.. These guys are so great they all need HEAs 💚

A reverse age gap that has you head over heels for a twenty-two-year-old biker who knows what he wants, will do anything to prove it, and has more maturity in his pinky finger than the obsessed ex of the neighbor he’s in love with, and it is sooo ridiculously good!
I honestly can’t believe how much I loved this. Reverse age gap can be tricky for me, I think women tend to be more mature than men their own age, so when you start delving into gaps where he’s in his early twenties sometimes it’s hard to buy into, but that is absolutely not the case with this one. Loyal is such a fantastic guy and he had me the second he listened and offered support instead of just trying to fix everything and oh my gosh the way he handles everything with Sami’s daughter, Farrah, he asked all his friends for advice and read articles about what divorced kids go through for Pete’s sake, I mean that’s real love and again a maturity that men twice his age don’t always have. He’s got patience, he’s kind, he pays attention, and he’s everything a sweetheart of a single mom like Sami needs and deserves, it doesn’t hurt that he’s got stamina and know how if ya catch my drift, or that he’d absolutely put a bullet in someone for his girls. This is fiction, there are definitely a few areas where you could say no way would that work when it comes to getting Farrah to like him, but quite frankly, at least for me, it doesn’t even make me bat an eye because this is a love story about a young biker who is obsessively and honestly in love with his neighbor in her thirties and as a woman who’s been a single mom, believable or not, I loved this read, I adore Loyal, and I say get it girl and just enjoy the ride.

This book was a first motorcycle, reverse age gap for me and, I have to say, it blew me away! It was fast paced, definitely one I binged in a day, was so entertaining with the drama and the bad boy vibe behind the biker gang, and definitely brought the spice. It has the pining that we all love and found family aspect that makes you smile.

Loyal is a young, attractive, biker who happens to live next door to Sami and her daughter. He comes to her rescue one day, and ends up having a “dirty, little secret” relationship with Sami (I’m talking sneaking out windows kind of thing). She struggles with the age gap and hearing what people might think. But that doesn’t stop Loyal from continuing to show up and peruse her. The one thing that throws a wrench in things is Sami’s ex and daughter. It gets a little messy, almost too much (in my opinion), where Sami chooses to keep her daughter’s relationship and give up Loyal’s. But things escalate and Loyal proves age is just a number, and when you love someone, you don’t give up on them.

I really liked the connection Loyal and Sami had. It was so sweet snd natural. Loyal was extremely mature for his age, which I appreciated. He was truly such a genuinely great guy. I loved that he didn’t give up, even when things got crazy. And was mature enough to be ok with whatever Sami decided, and what she needed. Their chemistry carried over to the bedroom where it was just the right amount of electric, soft, and spicy.

I thought, at times, the family drama was a bit much. But I understand it was needed to bring the story full circle. I did like that it ultimately ended with Sami and her daughter finding that family in Loyal’s group.

This was an ARC review for me, and these are my honest opinions.
