Never thought such a simple collection of short stories could evoke such a plethora of emotions at one single go.
The following stories left a definite mark -
খুনী : leaves you shattered at how your own trivial things can overshadow another person's entire attitude towards life.
একজন দুর্বল মানুষ : Makes you wonder the impact of white lies on truths so bitter and so harsh - and to the extent to which they can heal and hurt.
বলদ : This made me want to slap the protagonist so hard. I don't think any other story brought about so much shame, hurt and anger together at the ease with which the people and their mentality can be exploited
আজব ছেলে : The emotions circled through this entire story pierces right through. I wouldn't be surprised if there were actually people who went through this ordeal - and the loss and longing portrayed is something I don't think could ever have been done by any other than this author.
চা : THE MOST IMPACTFUL STORY. This story tore me apart, and I guess this is the story I will remember it by.
জনৈক অপদার্থ পিতা : A father's love knows no bounds - shows no sign and yet resolves on its own. Its a story of one significant incident, but leaves a mark much more strong.
মধ্যরাত্রিতে তিনজন দুর্ভাগা তরুণ : The book ends with this. And honestly, you know this story, you've heard this story - maybe you've even seen this story play out in real life. This story is for that kid who you'll pass in the middle of the night with a blank stare on his face - and for you who'll simply pass him by.
In all, this book is a gem from the author. A gift I don't know how many deserve and how many will understand the depth of.
