When Dahlia Wilde thinks all is lost, the last thing she expects is to be saved by a monster.
High in the Himalayas, she comes face to face with a legendary Yeti with quicksilver eyes and a soul as scarred as her own. He isn’t the mindless beast she feared, but a fierce, primal protector who worships her like the rare bloom she’s been searching for.
As desire eclipses reason and secrets thaw between them, Dahlia must decide whether to run from the monster who saved her… or surrender to him completely.
But when her arrogant ex shows up, determined to steal both the life-saving plant, and the Yeti, Dahlia must fight for more than survival. She has to choose what, and who, is worth risking everything for.
Quick, spicy, and monstrously sweet—Yeti or Knot is a snowed-in, forced-proximity monster romance featuring a cinnamon roll Yeti × STEM heroine, and primal devotion in the frostbitten wild.
Cassandra Elizzabeth is an exciting new indie voice, known for her immersive storytelling and vivid imagination. Her writing journey started when she could not find the books she wanted to read. Cassandra weaves themes of self-discovery, friendship, love, loss, and acceptance into a tapestry of macabre and spicy fiction, with a dash of murder, mayhem, and mystery. When not lost in the world of words, Cassandra can be found talking to the flowers or spending time with her family.
okay super cute! She is a super smart STEM gal, independent and well traveled I love it. Her research puts her both in danger and a yetis path. this book definitely showed sometimes the humans are the monsters.
The heroine really turned out to be selfish and self centered. And I really disliked where the story was heading, so I decided to stop reading.
Also, there's dead ex trope, which very unpleasantly surprised me.
I did love that the hero was a protector of the forest and all the beings there, and how seriously he took that role. I really liked that aspect of his character and how it was done.
Despite not having a yeti novella on my bingo card, this one scratched the itch for an enjoyable and enticing little escape in the best way. Although the back stories of the characters were not extensive, readers are given enough to understand character motivations and feelings. Dahlia and Eryon are a unique pairing, but I was absolutely rooting for them from the beginning. I loved the author's unique take on yeti lore! The upcoming novel version of this story is going straight to my TBR! I can't wait!
My wife just showed me that she was making a small yeti crochet stuffie and my response to her was, “That reminds me of a story I just read. But in the story, the yeti completely ra*ls the woman.” Lol. I have not had a whole lot of experience with monster romances because I was always nervous about dipping my toes into that world. But I have started to read a few, and I don’t know why I every stalled in diving into this world. This book is the perfect book to pick up if you want to ease your way into the monster romance genre. This is a fairly short book, at less than 200 pages, and reads extremely fast. I think I was able to finish it in only a couple of hours. It involves science and medicine, as well as examines the fight between advancement and preserving the beauty of the natural world. Add into that a woman with a crappy, cheating boyfriend that stumbles upon a sexy savior who is also the protector of the natural world. This was a fun, spicy monster romance that had me craving more books with sexy yetis.
Dahlia is a student/researcher who has devoted her life to finding a cure for a disease that will take her own life. She knows that the answer lies in a flower that is rumored to be in the Himalayas. She has spent months searching for the answer, leaving her fiancé at home. She has put so much on hold to help him succeed but does it for love. Except he craves more love than she can give, causing her to come home to him cheating on her. So, she heads back to continue her search. It is in this return that she encounters Eryon, a yeti and protector of the wild. The chemistry that they share is off the charts. He is soft and caring with her, yet fierce when he needs to be. It is always in the back of her mind that they come from different worlds, and she is on borrowed time for her condition. I loved these two and how they were with each other. It was absolute perfection.
This book may have been shorter, but it definitely does not suffer a lack of spicy good times. If you are yearning for a story with plenty of yeti spicy times, look no further. This was such a fun book with a story but also a sexy yeti that protects nature from those that seek to capitalize and destroy it. It a quick spicy read that is a great monster romance to dive into.
Dahlia is on a desperate mission to find a rare flower hidden deep in the Himalayan mountains—a flower that holds the key to everything she’s ever wanted. Her education, her career, her future, even her sense of self all hinge on this elusive bloom. But after a failed expedition forces her to return home—and unveils the true, toxic nature of her fiancé—she makes a bold decision. She boards the next flight back to the mountains, determined to reclaim her future and find the flower that might just save her life.
What Dahlia doesn’t expect is the pair of glowing eyes watching her from the treeline... or that those eyes belong to someone who will soon become her salvation.
Eryon is a Migoi, a guardian of the forest, one of a secretive people who have protected the Himalayan wilds for centuries. When he hears Dahlia struggling—singing a ridiculous song with equally dramatic dance moves—he steps in to save her, triggering a heartwarming, hilarious, and deeply emotional journey through trust, healing, and unexpected connection. Their adventure is everything: tender, funny, magical, heart-wrenching, and utterly transformative.
Shoutout to Sita, Dahlia’s best friend and ride-or-die girl’s girl. When Dahlia needs to go back and save her Yeti (yes, her Yeti), Sita shows up with zero hesitation. The moment Dahlia says, "I've had enough of doing what I should. Of shrinking myself down, listening to others, being practical, sensical. I want some damn nonsense," I was all in.
This story isn't just emotionally satisfying—it’s also hot as hell. There’s intense chemistry, tension that crackles, and steam that simmers. Dahlia finds herself wondering, "He's looking at me like I'm his next meal, and despite my brain screaming at me to run, I can't help but wonder what it would be like to be devoured by him." And yes... he does devour.
Expect: size difference, sensory deprivation, marking and claiming, pain transformed into pleasure, the power of being seen and named, and some downright sinful scenes that manage to stay tender and affirming. It’s sweet, it’s spicy, it’s empowering—and it's a journey you won’t forget.
This is another 4.75 ⭐ for me and I am so SO anxious to get the full length novel of these two because YES YES YES
Dahlia is desperately trying to find flower in the Himalayan mountains that holds the key to her future, in every sense. Her education, her career, her marriage, her actual life is all resting on finding this flower. When a failed expedition brings her back home to discover her fiancé is the worst kind of person she jumps on a plane and goes right back to where she was, determined to find this flower and save her own life. What she wasn't expecting was the glowing eyes she saw in the trees before she left to draw her back into the forest and to save her life when she gets caught in an avalanche.
Eryon is a protector of the forest, a Migoi. His kind have been protecting this area for centuries, keeping the balance in the forest. After hearing someone struggling while singing a hilarious song, accompanied by some stellar choreography, he saves them and then begins a whirlwind, heartwarming, and wrenching, adventure filled with discovery, adoration, praise, reassurance, trust, heartache, and such a beautiful resolution. Sita is hardcore a girls girl and their trek back into the mountains for Dahlia to go save her Yeti had me so pumped. "But I've had enough of doing what I should. Of shrinking myself down, listening to others, being practical, sensical. I want some damn nonsense.
Not only was it extremely sweet and wholesome, it was hot af. "He's looking at me like I'm his next meal, and despite my brain screaming at me to run, I can't help but wonder what it would be like to be devoured by him." And devour he does 🥵🥵🥵 Lots of feasting by the Yeti, sensory depravation, size difference, cum play, marking/claiming, power in a name, pain becoming pleasure
This was soooooo good and I'm so ready for more Dahlia and Eryon.
Paranormal romance where we get an FMC who is working on herself and trying to free herself from the jerky boyfriend while looking for a cure for a disease that could ultimately take her life. Dahlia travels to India in search of a rare flower and in her search she finds the Migoi, protector, Yeti, who saves her from the unforgiving cold of the Himalayas when she is separated from her guide.
I did get Beauty and the Beast vibes from parts of the book and I was ok with it… I’m a fan, so to have aspects of a childhood favorite (and possibly where my love of Al things beasts and books came from), I was very much wrapped up in this story.
We also get friendship, Dahlia befriends the locals who truly care for her well- being, one local is Sita who plays an important role in saving the day.
Do I recommend this? Yes. If you are a fan of paranormal/monster romance I do think you will enjoy this novella and be so hooked you will want more, which is good because the author has more for you… check out Winter Star!
🫶🏼Monster Romance ❄️ Cinnamon Roll Yeti 🧬 STEM (ethnobotanist) FMC 🫦 He Falls First 🫂 Found Family
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Spicy read
“You have you to fight for”
“Let’s go protect the protector”
“I want your body to crave me. Hunger for days. Weep for me”
A recently single (bc her ex is a cheating asshole) STEM FMC who came for a rare frost flower but stayed because of an unexpected 7-foot cinnamon roll yeti who could rearrange her insides like an interior designer? Say LESS ❄️🍆
Someone needs to tell Eryon that he’s supposed to be a mysterious, terrifying cryptid, not a giant albino golden retriever. The way he worships her and would lay down his life for her from the moment he meets her. What’s not to love???
This book has it all: - monster x human romance - epic and adventurous spice they don’t teach you in botany class - a MONSTER monster peen - Yeti daddy and protector energy - STEM FMC - “touch her and I’ll snap your spine like kindling” vibes
And let’s talk about that spice I mentioned: Positions I didn’t even know were possible with that much fur, that much stamina, that much… altitude. I had to put the book down just to go sit outside in the cold for a minute 🥵
If you’ve ever wanted to get railed into the snow by a gentle giant with a heart of gold and a giant 🍆 who thinks that you’re his northern star then look no further. This book is for you.
A STEM heroine who came for the botany but stayed because a 7-foot cinnamon roll snow-beast rearranged her insides like he was prepping an alpine trail? Say. No. More ❄️ 🍆
This Yeti?? Sir. You’re supposed to be a terrifying cryptid, not the walking definition of “ruin me and call me a rare bloom” The way he worships her? I want a yeti of my very own 🖤
And let’s talk spice: imagine being snowed in while global warming is happening inside your pants. Positions I didn’t even know were possible with that much fur, that much stamina, that much… altitude. I had to put the book down just to go sit in the freezer for a minute 🥵
When the ex shows up like some panto villain, Yeti daddy is in the corner like “touch her and I’ll snap your spine like kindling” 10/10 would let him.
Final thoughts: 🌨️ Botany? Irrelevant 🦍 Yeti? Delicious 🍑 Heroine? Clapping cheeks in the frost 🔥 My Kindle? MELTED
If you’ve ever wanted to get railed into the permafrost by a monster with the soul of a poet, congratulations. Your new religion is HERE 🙏
Short, spicy and sweet monster romance with tropes like size difference, one cave, accidental mating and he falls first.
Fast-paced and easy to read. The yeti (or Migoi), Eryon, was surprisingly sweet, but the spice between him and the FMC, Dahlia was really spicing. Loved how protective he was of her.
“Yeah, that pesky international date line is totally to blame for you putting your dick in someone else's mouth. Did you trip over it and fall?” “A few tubs of stuff. A failed relationship. No family. No friends. No doctorate. An unsuccessful research expedition. A bruised ego. A broken heart. It’s depressing.” “That’s it. Let me feel how much your body weeps for me.” “I don’t want you to let me go. I want to claim you just as much as you want to claim me. I don’t care what you are, as long as you are mine.”
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
It’s really great! Does what’s it’s meant to as a romance, it makes me care about these characters and the relationship. Very delicious smut! Lots of good elements like oral and primal play and marking. It feels like the romance is a little rushed because it’s instalust and fated mates, but you kinda just go with it. The drama felt… believable at the beginning, but weirdly resolved at the end. Mostly I found the FMC to be so dumb in quite a few instances, but oh well, that’s what happens when you’re dealing with a manipulative bastard like her ex.
Would have preferred more communication between the main characters.
The end was rushed, and while I know there is an extended version, I just gotta point that out for this version. It didn’t feel like much was explained and you just kind of have to accept that everything worked out, even some characters just disappearing.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this ARC as its been a while since ive read monster smut.
But woah. Its blown me away Cassandra.
When you first meet Yeti Eryon - you really dont know what to expect i mean come on hes a Yeti for heavens sake. But nope - he exceeds all your horror expections and dots on Dahlia instantly! The worship for her from the beginning is amazing.
The spicy is off the charts. It is a fast paced spice feast!
I wont post spoilers but nearing the ending and his show of protective for Dahlia and hers for him speaks volumes of their love for each other !
I am glad I decided to ask for an ARC copy of this and I'm in high hopes of a book 2?! Pleaseeee
Oh Dahlia... what a saint she is. Especially when it comes to putting her fiance, Ben, first in everything. She comes home from a trip to India just to turn around and go right back... Thanks, Ben *side eye*
Now, Monster Romance isnt usually my jam but dear sweet maker, Eryon is something else. He's like a personal real life stuffed animal, thats warm, velvety, and drool worthy.
I absolutely loved the story and characters. Cassandra Elizzabeth has a way of creating characters and worlds that feel as real as they are amazing. This is a fluffier story than I am used to from her but it is just what I needed! The complexity of a Yeti MMC was more than I dreamed (again, not a usual Monster Romance reader). The heart this book and main characters has is also so sweet.
“He tastes like the forest at night–dark, forbidden, dangerous.”
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Another fascinating story by Cassandra. This short story is none the less one of the most amazing monster book I have read, I mean we get a YETI, yeah you heard me right A YETI and one that is really realllyyyy H O T 😜.
Cassandra did an amazing job with this short novel, you’ll find everything in here; love, smut, passion, lost and Eryon, our YETI is so protective and a giant but so so sweet I just can’t, I Loved this story so much I cannot wait for the full length on this two 🤗♥️.
Cassandra never disappoints me. Her writing is so unique, like you can feel you are INSIDE the book of how realistic she makes it sound, just fascinating as I mentioned at the beginning.
OMG! Where do I find my own Yeti that’s built like Eryon? He’s sweet, funny, sexy (in a large monster kind of way) and a dirty talker too.
Dahlia is the perfect match for this sometimes grumpy Yeti. And she in turn, can’t help herself from touching him, being near him or kissing him.
The back-and-forth banter was sweet and emotional, which kept pulling me in. These two kept a smile on my face and had me actually kicking my feet with giddiness.
This story was a quick read but worth every moment. It was adorably sweet but also so freaking filthy and hot that it made my body light up!
Loved it and can’t wait for more.
“I don’t want you to let me go. I want to claim you just as much as you want to claim me. I don’t care what you are, as long as you are mine.”
❄️💙 “I went looking for a rare flower… and found a myth with a monster 🍆”
Tropes:
💙Monster Romance (Yeti/Migoi) 🏔Forced Proximity- One Cave/Bed 🤗Ex Boyfriend Got What He Deserved ☠️Touch Her & Die ✨️Cinnamon Roll MMC 🌱STEM FMC (Botanist) ❤️🔥Primal Play
If loving a Yeti is wrong… I don’t want to be right.
Call me Dahlia Wilde because I, too, would risk an avalanche for Eryon to pick me up like I weigh nothing but bad decisions and scientific curiosity.
Cold climate, hot monster, zero regrets. 💙🔥❄️
Yeti or Knot is perfect for readers who love a steamy monster romance with a soft, protective MMC and a smart, determined STEM heroine.
I fell in love with this story when I was Alpha reading it, and I fell in love all over again this time around!
Dahlia and Eryon are everything! They both have been hurt before and their backstories are both tragic in their own way. I loved how these two found each other, and how there is this immediate pull. A human and a yeti, why the f*** not! Love is love, right? 😉
The story is a wonderful whirlwind of emotions, passion, determination, spice and true love. There are characters to love, but also characters to hate (for all the right reasons!). The way Dahlia handled that first chapter was badass and had me laughing “you go girl!”.
Yeti or Knot was a quirky and fun monster romance with plenty of humor and a unique premise. It definitely had charm and moments that made me smile.
But the fast pacing made the characters’ quick connection feel a little unnatural, which made it hard for me to fully connect to their love story. The spice was there, but I think I would have enjoyed it even more if the relationship had a little more time to build.
I would recommend this if you’re looking for a quick and spicy monster romance!
❄️ touch her and ☠️ ❄️ size difference ❄️ one cave (one bed) ❄️ STEM, curvy, 30+ FMC ❄️ Yeti guardian MMC ❄️ He falls first
This was a quirky and fun monster romance with a unique premise that definitely made me smile. The humor and charm were there, and I loved the yeti guardian vibe. Yeti or Knot was definitely something different and refreshing.
That said, the romance felt a little rushed. The characters connected super quickly, which made it hard for me to fully buy into their relationship. There is definitely spice😂, but I think I would’ve enjoyed it even more if the love story had a little more time to build.
Overall, it’s a fun, fast read if you’re in the mood for something quick and super spicy, but I just wanted a little more depth to the romance!
I really enjoyed this novella! I do have a few lingering questions, but I decided not to list them out. especially since this has been expanded into a full-length novel, and I will be reading it. I’m hoping the extra pages will fill in those gaps and bump this up to a full 5 stars. 😉
I’ve always had a weird (totally valid) obsession with Yetis. My favorite depiction will forever be the cuddly ones from The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor ( 🫣don’t judge me! 🤗🥰)
Overall, this was a super fun, short, and steamy read. Not quite perfect, but definitely a great time and I can’t wait for more!
This sweet little monster novella packs a great punch. You're getting a monster....a yeti! Smexy time, a yeti, smexy time...did I mention a yeti?! 🤣 I mean what more could you ask for?
Cassandra, you really did such an amazing job with this story and I am so excited for your Yeti era because this was gold!
Eryon is uhhhh mazeeee ingggg! Everything about him just makes me wanna run and jump into his arms lol. He's sweet, but powerful. And full of trauma. Why do I always love these ones?!
Ohhhh and that epilogue 😍😍😍 quite literally obsessed!
I was able to Alpha read this book and I freaking loved every single bit of it! Cassandra has such amazing writing! I love Dahlia and Eryon story and how they have such a deep pull to each other! They both come from rough backgrounds but they make each other heal!
This is my first monster romance read, and oh my yeti!!!
Okay it’s a 4.5/5 I wish it were longer that’s why I docked .5 😩 but I did not expect to fall for a Yeti, but Cassandra Elizzabeth made it happen. This was such a fun, fast read and equal parts sweet, spicy, and a little wild. Dahlia was easy to root for, and the Yeti? Protective, scarred, and way more than I imagined. I loved the mix of adventure, banter, and swoony monster romance. It gave me just the right escape and left me grinning at the end. If you want something quick, unique, and totally addictive, this one is it.
I really like Cassandra's writing style and descriptions. It was one of the things I loved in her other books and makes the story feel very immersive. This is a spicy monster romance novella with a badass botanist FMC. I was not expecting to get so invested, because it is a novella, but she packs a lot of impressive world and character building in a short period of time. The spice is spicing too.🍆👀 Side note: this is my first of hopefully many ARC reads (!).
Monster romance at its finest. There is so much happening. There is a traumatic breakup, near death experience, steam upon steam upon 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, a yeti that changes forms and 🍆, mating, love lots and found, and knotting. Just a well rounded read. I also like that in the end you find out there is another book coming out that is this novella just longer…..so yep going to read that because yes I needed more of this story and these characters!
