An MM paranormal biker romance.

An alpha president with a pack and a club to protect, a human looking for a place to belong.

Lynx

I want him.
I need him
But I can’t have him.
Not without jeopardising everything I care about.
Morgan Webb is as dangerous to me as any silver blade, and a club of shifters is no place for a human, especially when he has no idea we even exist.

I need to keep my distance, even when every bone in my body aches to be near him.
But fate has other plans in store for us. Sending him away is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, but it’s the only option. It’s also a decision I’ll come to regret.
I just hope we all make it out alive.

Lynx is book one in the Wild Wolves Motorcycle Club series. A paranormal MM romance with a little angst, plenty of action, and a whole lot of UST.

Bloody brilliant.

I was lucky enough to beta read this for Annabelle but I've also now read the ARC version as well and can say - hand on heart - that she writes the absolute best shifters.

Here it's another British urban fantasy setting, with shifters a secret that the general population doesn't know about and when Morgan Webb's path crosses with Lynx Harper, the bad boy leader of the Wild Wolves Motorcycle Club, the idea of it being more than that never enters his mind.

This world of Annabelle's is dark, very similar in tone to her Rebellion series, with illegal fight rings and shifters under the control of a Hunter Council that many consider still to be enemies given their behaviour not too long in the past.

However, things have generally settled down into a stalemate with occasional attrition between Lynx's pack and their closest rivals, the Feral Beasts, who do more than live up to their name here.

The narrative is harsh and unyielding as Morgan gets tangled up in something beyond his understanding which sees his dad losing their family home and him being turned away when he tries to join the Wolves club as a way of not putting a burden on his best friend Ash.

Things escalate when he's left for dead after coming across Birch, leader of the Feral Beasts and his mates while camping in the forest near Lynx's compound.

This kicks off the remainder of the book as Lynx knows Morgan's his mate, but he's human, and there's the whole secret world thing too.

Tensions are palpable, both the UST that neither men can avoid, even though Morgan has no idea why he's drawn to someone he actively dislikes, and the anger that's driving both of them due to the circumstances that have pushed them together.

And this is what, for me, makes Annabelle the absolute best at writing shifters, because she gives the reader the deepest insight into how the wolf inside them rules their emotions and lives as an essential part of them - not a separate entity.

The pacing of this book gets tighter and more intense the more the story progresses, as it's clear there's something going on with Hunter involvement in the fight clubs and Birch's pack pushes things over the line when they act against the Wild Wolves.

No spoilers, lets just say that I couldn't put the book down as everything hits the proverbial fan and when Lynx has to finally admit his feelings, the club goes all out on a rescue mission and lives are put at risk.

I would say, bear in mind this book is on the darker side, violence is a day to day part of the club's world, death is something they're sadly familiar with, and this narrative explores that in some depth.

There's so much goes on that it's impossible to touch on everything, we have plenty of pairings for future books but I'm seriously crossing fingers that it's club VP Callum and Morgan's best mate Ash up next!

#ARC kindly received from the author, I am voluntarily leaving a review

MEGA SPOILERS BELOW:

I am still reluctant to rate this one. I wanted to like it so much.

Shifters
Motorcycle Club
Fated Mates

It had all the things I like in MM romance. I think part of my issue was I read this because someone suggested it to me saying it was hot but the MC's don't even have sex until the 92% mark of the book. That is a hella sloooooooooooow burn. (and there wasn't even a knot)

This is also a world where fated mates exist. At the beginning of the book the alpha MC says several times that a shifter should *always* follow their instincts. Then he meets his fated and his instincts are pushing him towards him but he ends rejecting his fated MULTIPLE times. Like, it just. Keeps. Happening.

If I am reading a shifter romance and at any point the alpha MC says "I don't deserve them" and my first thought is you abso-fucking-lutely DO NOT... there's a problem.

I did really like the human MC and he deserved so much better from 70% of the people surrounding him and he definitely deserved better than Lynx.

The story was good, I just kind of hated Lynx by the end.

He stands and sets a hand at the base of my throat, fingers splayed like he needs to cover as much skin as he can. Then he tilts my head to the side and runs his nose up the side of my throat, before resting his head on my shoulder.
I have the strongest urge to wrap my arms around him.
So I do.
He sags against me like someone cut his strings. I grunt under the sudden weight of him, but hold tight when he tries to pull back. "Stay," I whisper, surprised when he does.
I close my eyes, and his outdoor, woodsy scent fills my nose.

Lynx is a shifter and an alpha who will do anything to protect his pack and his MC club, even if that means keeping distance from his human mate, Morgan. After his dad lost their house in a bet, Morgan ends up homeless and feeling lost. He goes to the local gang, Wild Wolves MC, in hopes of being allowed to join and finally have a place to belong. Lynx dismisses him rather harshly, believing that he's doing what's best for Morgan and his pack, but pushing his mate away only put Morgan in danger. Now Lynx needs to figure out how to keep both his mate and his pack safe.

Like Morgan, I wanted to smack Lynx for all the mixed signals he was constantly giving. And I guess it would've been nice if there was more groveling and if Morgan didn't forgive Lynx so easily. But then again, even though I was frustrated by some of the decisions characters made throughout the story, all of that only made them feel real and flawed in a way that all humans tend to be.

I love the way this author writes shifters. The behavior, pack mentality, protectiveness and possessiveness, scenting, marking... It's got all the things I want in shifter books. There's overarching plot, so we're probably going to get some loose ends tied in the next couple of books.

I sit forward, and look around the table, meeting everyone's gaze in turn. "So, hear me out first," I start, and Cal groans. Flint laughs and Mal just covers his eyes. It makes me smile, and my wolf settles, because I know in that moment that they'll have my back no matter what.

The next book focuses on Callum and Ash, but damn it, I can't wait for Jet and Grey's book. I'm so excited for their story!

When the snarls subside, he walks around the table and sets the knife in front of Jet. "Thank you." He goes to step away, but Jet grabs his hand.
Grey winces like it hurts.
Jet's low growl fills the room as he gently pushes back Grey's sleeve, revealing deep bruises around his wrist. They look too new to be from what happened at the fight ring. "Who the fuck did this?"

Nico's book is another one I'm looking forward to. I wonder (and hope) if his love is going to be Flint?

Overall, I enjoyed it, and I am so excited for the rest of the series.

It feels like forever since we got a new book by Annabelle and I was honestly stoked to read it. It is everything I love in her books, good pacing, exciting events, complex characters, fizzy chemistry, truly icky villains. I really enjoyed it.
I also really love that it is part of a series so we'll get more books. Hell yeah!

I loved this book so much! This is one of the best shifter books I've ever read. From the beginning, I was so invested in the story and in Lynx and Morgan. The story was action packed, intense, and emotional. Everything I want in a book. I absolutely cannot wait for Callum's book and more of this series!

First book of mine of this author and I loved it. Wolves & MCs? Sign me up. I loved Lynx & Morgan one of my favorite couples so far! Kind of sad of all the stuff Morgan had to go through but I’m glad him and Lynx figured everything out. This book was definitely good!

ready for more

What a great start to a series. Mc shifters, YES! Give me more. I enjoyed watching these two get together. Loved how even though there was the pull of mates they still had to work through things in order to be together. The world build was excellent, providing a great suspenseful second plot. I can’t wait to see else finds their love. And while I’m here HECK YES TO DIVERSE SHIFTERS AND DIVERSE MOTORCYCLE CLUBS. I’ve been wanting something like this in both troupes so it was great to see it in this mix.

For me:
Dual POV
no cheating or sharing
No om/ow
Relation before
Diversity for the win

4.5 stars: Let's be honest here, Annabelle Jacobs is a master at writing shifter stories, the best ones I've read are hers.l!
I loved the setting, the world-building, and the characters.
And packs secretly living among humans, disguised as motorcycle clubs? So smart!
OMG, how am I supposed to wait for the next books? I want to read them now!
I'm really hopeful we'll get a book for each beta 😀

I truly enjoyed this book! It is fairly fast paced despite the slow burn aspect to the relationship. There is so much UST in the first half of the story! While the fated mate aspect drives most of the attraction it isn’t insta love and I loved the tension. There is a lot of violence and peril that made this a gritty read, but I loved all the characters and look forward to the rest of the series.

There was a lot of action in this book. I did like the storyline but I wasn’t fond of the fact how lynx just flipped a switch and accepted Morgan. I will however continue reading this series .

4.25 stars - Love finding a new somewhat grittier shifter series to sink my teeth into and this one lured me right in. When the story began, it felt a little like I had missed a book that contained a good amount of backstory, but as I read, that faded away as more details of this world and its characters were given.

There are a few things going on in different directions at first, but they pretty quickly head towards each other and intertwine. We have Morgan dealing with issues brought on by his father wherein they are going to lose their house. Not wanting to impose on his bff, Ash, Morgan decides to approach one of the biker gangs to see about joining which he believes will solve a number of his problems. Unfortunately, the Wild Wolves quickly turn him away for their own reasons. Threatening to go to the rival gang, the Feral Beasts, Morgan leaves without any intention of actually going there. His night camping in the woods takes a dark turn, however, and Morgan is thrust into the shifter world in a pretty devastating way.

Lynx is the alpha of the pack and President of the Wild Wolves which is basically a cover for the pack. The Wild Wolves have made it their mission to rescue shifters from an underground fight ring. The shifters are sort of governed by Hunters who basically police their activity and see that they are all sticking to the established rules. All of these things eventually collide or intersect as the story unfolds.

Another aspect here is that Lynx and Morgan are fated mates. But, as Lynx is the alpha and leader of the club, he feels he must concentrate on that and not be distracted by a mate, and a human one at that. There is also the tiny detail that Morgan doesn’t want anything to do with being a mate. So, needless to say, there are a lot of factors at play here.

Once this story got rolling and I had a better understanding of the big picture, I was quickly turning pages and becoming invested in the outcome. There were times that I wished some things were expanded on, such as the importance of Lynx being the alpha which isn’t really discussed much with Morgan. All in all, I really enjoyed how this all played out. This was a somewhat gritty story in that there is a good bit of violence and very little fluff. There is none of the usually tropes, such as mpreg or knotting, which I really appreciated. Further, there are a number of interesting characters to look forward to learning more about. I was already trying to picture who else would find their mate. Looks like Lynx’s right paw man and beta, Callum, is up next, and I hope we don’t have to wait to long to get the continuation of this series.

I’ve read this author’s Dark Forest Pack series and enjoyed it. I found that to be a grittier shifter series with an intricate overarching plot, also, no instalust or mpreg with is very common with shifters. So when I saw this new shifter series I was excited to give it a go.

The blurb confirmed it wasn’t going to be soft/instalust, and I was pleased to see I wasn’t mislead. The overarching plot is going to be good and this book did a great job of setting everything up without being too ‘info dump’. As with MC books we have two rival MCs but here with the added components of shifters, hunters and the need to keep the paranormal world a secret.

Now, onto Morgan and Lynx (who weirdly is a wolf shifter). I need to be frank, I really didn’t like Lynx for about 65% of the book. He kept telling himself that Morgan was a liability, he had a duty to his pack and the wider (plot related) mission him and his pack are actioning. As such he kept pushing him away, but then getting all protective randomly. It was like whiplash.

I also was surprised that the standard concept of being unable to hurt your mate did not apply here. To confirm there is no violence between them but Lynx makes a very surprising order to his second in command, and yeah it threw me massively. Did he redeem himself? Kinda, but only because he gave into the mate bond. I just wasn’t impressed and thought he 100% needed to have done more.

Morgan, well, I’m wasn’t too sure either but I did warm up to him pretty quickly. I felt sorry for him, he was dealt a shit hand in the beginning and tried to make the best of it and then it all went horribly wrong. Then for plot reasons it gets even worse - kidnapped, tortured etc. then he had the hot/cold behaviour of Lynx to deal with. He did stick up for himself and called Lynx out so wasn’t a wimp thankfully.

I do like how real our characters are. Yes I know I’ve just moaned a bit, but the fact is these characters have stuck with me. No one is perfect, yes I would have liked Lynx to pull himself together and not be so dickish, but maybe the author wanted a rough/emotionally constipated main character?!

Overall for me, it was the wider plot and good side characters - I can see the next 3 x couple set ups already - that made this for me. Our side characters are not one dimensional, and I can see there’s going to be action and shenanigans with the overarching plot. I did like it a lot, I just didn’t gel with Lynx which spoilt it a bit.

I received this as an ARC from gayromancereviews.com and this review is completely truthful and honest. I would have read this anyway without receiving it as an ARC as I like the author.

Annabelle Jacobs kicks off her Wild Wolves MC series with Lynx, and I really enjoyed this mix of urban fantasy (set in East Midlands, UK), shifters, and biker club drama.
It’s the first time I’ve read this combination, and I was surprised how well it worked...I loved it! I also loved the gritty atmosphere paired with a fast-paced action...when we get to the action. 😏

If you’ve read Dark Forest Pack series by this author, there’s a big chance you’ll like this world too. But be warned, this world feels darker and more dangerous than the one in Dark Forest Pack. There are underground fight rings, vicious rival packs, and the Hunters “lording” over the shifters. So, violence is definitely very much a constant presence throughout the book, and it gives the story a certain sharp edge.

In the middle of it all are Lynx, the alpha of the Wild Wolves, and Morgan, a human caught up in circumstances that turn out to be far bigger than he ever expected. And while their romance is a slow burn, and their bond is undeniable, it’s not instant or easy. There’s a lot of mistrust, push and pull, and impossible-to-deny attraction between them. But I have to admit, for much of the book I went back and forth on Lynx, because I really disliked his hot-and-cold treatment of Morgan. But at the same time I sympathised with his struggle between duty, instinct, and desire. It definitely made his character feel real and believable, but also very frustrating at times. So, just like people in real life. 😆
With Morgan, on the other hand, I emphasised from the beginning. He was dealt a rough hand and things only get worse for him. Although he was terrified he also refused to let Lynx walk all over him. And that resilience really made me like and respect him.

While I liked the book as a whole, I’ll admit I struggled with the first half of it. But once Lynx starts to get his act together, and plot really start plotting, it’s all action...and plenty of stakes.

As I’ve come to expect from Jacobs books, the side characters are also well-developed and full of potential...which is always good in a series. 😁 And I can’t wait to know more about them.
A few pairings are already being hinted at and I can't wait to see where the series goes next with the overarching plot and each couple's individual stories.

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my unbiased review.

When this book came up for ARC I was reluctant, I thought there was no way Annabelle could top her previous books but man was I wrong. Not only was it better, it's just become my absolute favorite one of all her series.

Once again we go back the world where shifters are unknown to humans. They have to live according to the rules of the Hunters who do regular checks. So far Lynx, alpha of the Wild Wolves MC pack hasn't really had any trouble abiding by those rules despite the secret work they do to free humans as well as shifters from illegal fight rings.

Things change however when Morgan enters his life, wanting to join his MC after having no place to go anymore. Even though is best friend Ash offers him a place to stay, he knows he can't and doesn't want to be a burden. Lynx immediately recognizes him from a previous encounter where he found out Morgan is his mate but despite the pull he feels towards Morgan he rejects him and sends him away with the devastating result of Morgan being found and seriously hurt by their rivals the Feral Beasts who leave him for death.

The tension between Lynx and Morgan is enormous, the way it affects Lynx is described into detail, he knows he can't give in but just can't deny his instincts and things go awry tenfold when there's a kidnapping and torture. This is kind of a slow burn but the tension and pining between both Lynx and Morgan is of the charts.

We get introduced to new characters, members of the Wild Wolves pack who will probably all get their own story. There's lots of possible new pairings being dropped and I can't wait to find out who will be next. I'm guessing Callum and Ash, but if there one story I'd love to read it's Jet's. What an intruiging character he is!

LYNX is the first book in the Wild Wolves MC series, set in the East Midlands, UK, which was my old stomping ground. I can't tell you how happy I was to read something set there, even if it is a fictional place.

Annabelle Jacobs writes brilliant British Urban Fantasy, and this one is no different. In a world where humans don't know about shifters, the pack came together as a group of outcasts and misfits, using the MC as a cover. Morgan is as human as they come, but his life changes in almost unrecognisable ways, starting off with his dad losing their home to gambling. Think of a snowball mixed in with personal choices, and you will see how it gets bigger as it rolls downhill.

I loved the relationship between Lynx and Morgan, and then between the two of them individually and the rest of the pack. This isn't a warm and fuzzy book, but it isn't unnecessary angst either. Everything that is in here is for a reason, and I was completely hooked with every word.

Although the time it is set in is quite fast, I found the pacing to be perfect, giving time with the pack, Morgan, and Lynx in between the action. It was a mix of dark (fight rings), emotional (Lynx and Morgan, Morgan and Luke, etc.), and funny (comments between the pack members), so if that's what you enjoy, I think you will love this.

There are a couple of possible couples that I'm hoping for, together with characters I want to find love, and I honestly can't wait for the next book, no matter who it features. Another fantastic world to lose myself in. Absolutely brilliant and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

Lynx is the first book in the Wild Wolves MC series from Annabelle Jacobs, and it is a story that instantly grabbed my attention. I am always looking for new paranormal series to follow, I am also always looking for new MC series to follow, so I was more than happy to dive into a story that combined the two.

From the start, I was sucked into the story. In fact, it was one I happily devoured in a single sitting. There were many elements to explore within this story – both in terms of the couple and the overarching storyline – and everything had me deeply invested. I could not get enough of how things were playing out and was eager to see how everything would develop. In fact, I remain super eager to see what comes next. There are many intriguing elements of the overall world that I am excited to dive deeper into. There are also multiple characters I wish to find out more about. The only thing that did not fully work for me is that I felt things were a bit too easy in the second half of the book when it came to the way emotions were handled. There were a lot of times when things were accepted or moved on from quickly because of everything happening faster for shifters (including their processing of emotions), which made me feel like some elements were not explored quite as fully as I had hoped. However, this was not enough to lessen my enjoyment of the story. It was one that grabbed me with ease and kept a hold of me until the end.

All in all, this was a wonderful start to what promises to be a gripping series. I cannot wait to dive into the next book.

This was such a great read! It’s a shifter book with a fresh perspective that keeps it from feeling cookie-cutter, but still delivers the bonding and possessiveness I love in paranormal stories.

The characters were well-written; not only Morgan and Lynx, but the secondary characters also. Even the antagonists added a layer of tension that had a bit of suspense and an emotional edge that kept things interesting. I had one of those love/hate moments with the author when something major happened and I was screaming “Nooooo!” (in the best way) and wondering how it would work out.

For the most part, the shifter descriptions were vivid—I could totally picture several of the wolves and Jet’s cat. I do wish we’d gotten a clearer image of the last shifter created, but maybe that’s coming in a future book.

There was a scene where Morgan talks with his father about an incident his father endured, and some specific bad guys were mentioned. We did learn the identity of one mystery antagonist, but the others weren’t revisited. I’m hoping they get their comeuppance in a future book because I want to see that retribution.

I also really appreciate when a couple’s story feels complete and they get their HEA, yet their story is part of a bigger storyline. It makes the series feel like a gift that keeps on giving. I’m already intrigued by a few other characters so I am definitely looking forward to the next “gift” aka book.

I will never say no to paranormal or urban fantasy from Annabelle Jacobs. She has a way of weaving together worlds that is exciting and unparalleled, and her new motorcycle club series is no exception. There’s all the action, tension, and suspense I’ve come to associate with her work paired with a reluctant, hard fought romance. Fated mates? Yes, please!

If you asked me to summarize this book in a single word it would be complicated. Nothing about the characters in this story or the world they exist in is easy. First, there’s the secrecy - shifters living undetected among humans with rumors of their existence whispered among friends. There’s a lot at risk if their truth is exposed, and it’s a full-time job to keep it under wraps.

Next, there’s the tangled web of trauma and conflict. Shifter life is anything but simple, and this group has been through it. This story is an action-packed, suspense-filled journey complete with plenty of mystery and mayhem. I have a feeling we've just scratched the surface of what’s at play in this shifter universe.

Finally, there are the people. Lynx and his pack - the good guys for all intents and purposes - are a broody lot, somewhat crass and a little rough around the edges. Overall, they’re doing their best to move on from the trauma and pain in their past while existing in a world that’s forced them to hide in plain sight. And poor, unsuspecting Morgan, a human who finds himself at the center of a complex shifter conflict with nowhere to go. Wrong place, wrong time? Tell me about it! And for Lynx, he’s just one more in a long line of complications.

I describe the romance between Lynx & Morgan as hard fought because their connection is anything but soft or simple. From the beginning, there’s loads of tension, pain, and resistance despite the insane pull they feel. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to slap some sense into them or just smush their faces together so they’d get over it already - probably a little bit of both.

The Wild Wolves MC pack, led by the stoic and principled alpha Lynx, continues their covert mission to dismantle illegal fight rings and rescue both humans and shifters. But this time, the stakes are personal. Morgan’s arrival upends Lynx’s carefully controlled world. Homeless and vulnerable, Morgan seeks refuge with the pack, and though Ash offers him shelter, Morgan’s pride won’t let him accept charity. Lynx’s internal war ignites when he recognizes Morgan as his fated mate—a truth he tries to deny, leading to a heartbreaking rejection that leaves Morgan exposed to the brutal Feral Beasts. What follows is a harrowing ordeal of violence and survival that tests the limits of both men. The emotional tension between Lynx and Morgan is palpable, a slow burn that simmers with longing, guilt, and instinctual pull. The author masterfully captures Lynx’s inner turmoil, making his struggle feel raw and real. The pacing allows the relationship to unfold with aching intensity, and when things finally combust, it’s explosive. If you love gritty paranormal romance with emotional depth, high-stakes action, and a cast of characters you’ll want to follow through every twist and turn, this installment delivers. It’s a thrilling, heart-wrenching ride that leaves you hungry for more.

I was excited to start this new paranormal shifter series from Annabelle Jacobs centered around the Wild Wolves MC club. Book 1 sets the stage for the series which I’m very excited for and introduces the reader to the alpha and leader of the club, Lynx.

He’s a tough character being the leader of the club and alpha of the pack. His main concern is the people who he takes care of and is obligated to protect. As the book goes on, the reader learns more about the club/pack and what they are involved in. For these reasons, Lynx fights the instincts he has when it comes to meeting Morgan who I absolutely adored.

Morgan and Lynx’s dynamic shifts through the book and I enjoyed their story along with other points that come up in this paranormal universe. This did a really interesting job of setting the stage for the series and giving the reader some insight of the club and the potential troubles they might face.

The series has me hooked and looking forward to what comes ahead. I enjoyed meeting the various characters within the MC and some of those outside of the club such as Morgan’s friend Ash and the hunters like Tanner Grey. There feels like so much to this universe that I can’t wait!

Before I say anything else, I definitely recommend reading this book, and I will eagerly await the next ones.
However, a few things tripped me up, and I don't know if it's just me and I overlooked something, but the timeline doesn't quite add up for me. Some sections are long and a lot happens, and then it's still Wednesday, even though I had the feeling while reading that more time must have passed. This happened to me 2-3 times, but it's not really a big deal for the story.
On the other hand, I could have really wrung Lynx's neck more than 2-3 times. I understand why he did it, but... come on. Lynx... what the hell??!
The ending was surprising, creative, and really good. At first I found it heartbreaking, then I was angry, and in the end I was really satisfied, which is the best outcome for me.
Now to the blurb: I find it very misleading because at first I thought it was a different world, but the text is basically from Lynx's point of view, which becomes clear in retrospect. So please don't let that put you off the book. It's a really great story and definitely worth reading.

It's been over three years since I last read something by Annabelle Jacobs, and I've always enjoyed her urban fantasy romances; so when I learned she had a new series starter in the offing, I took the opportunity to lay eyes on it as soon as possible. Set in a fictional East Midlands village called Harlington, Wild Wolves MC is Jacobs's new series, and she introduces readers to this world via Lynx, the first full-length novel. Lynx Harper is the president of the Wild Wolves, a motorcycle club that is more than it seems. He and his crew know how to keep their secrets and maintaining distance with those outside the club is necessary. But Lynx never quite anticipated just how difficult it would be to keep Morgan Webb away. The twenty-five-year-old university student and Tesco Express worker calls to him like no one else before him, but Lynx knows better than to give in. Not when Lynx just happens to be a shifter with a club--his pack--to protect. But soon, circumstances will force their hand, and Lynx will have to decide if he has to choose between the security of his pack or a mate who just happens to be human.

This was such a fantastic read! I was hooked from the get-go, going from one page to another, becoming more and more emotionally invested in this motorcycle club with shifters and the humans who find themselves entangled with them and their affairs. While the connection between Lynx and Morgan may have been a given, the struggle to come to terms with it AND deal with the issues that the club was facing. The push and pull made this an even more engaging read. Yes, resistance may have been futile for the main characters, and maybe it's weird to some that I like that they didn't act on it right away, but I love when I see that there's more to their relationship than fate and a bond. The foundation was laid and the author built on it, with steps forward and missteps that they had to get over. The suspense part of the story was also intriguing, and I like that it's a story arc that will continue moving forward. Lynx was an impressive start to the Wild Wolves MC series, and I cannot wait for what comes next. It gets five stars.

Shortly before Lynx came out i was craving a shifter book, but something with a twist, so when i saw this book i grabbed it. When Morgan runs into some bad luck, he goes to the Wild Wolves MC hoping to join. Having no place to go after they reject him; he heads for the woods. Unfortunately for Morgan that move changes his life forever. Lynx has been running the Wild Wolves MC for a while, and he knows that the only thing to do is keep the human he craves away from him and his brothers. But when Morgan is no longer human Lynx still continues to push the man away. I loved that this wasn't your typical shifter story. There is no instant love, don't get me wrong, i love those but sometimes a changeup is good. But the fact that the main characters in this story have to work towards a relationship really made the book so much better. I will be honest; there were sometimes when i really did not like Lynx and thought he walked the line with regards to his actions. I will be re-reading this book again and waiting for the next book to come out

'He slides smooth hands over my jaw, his hot mouth finally finding mine, and it’s like the world around us stops. The noise from the pub, the trees around us, everything fades into the background as I close my eyes and feel.
I’m lost to the way he tilts my head, the soft scratch of stubble against my lips, and the teasing stroke of his tongue as he kisses me so thoroughly that I don’t think it’s the alcohol making my head spin.'

I loved this book and was excited for a shifter MC romance. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Morgan and Lynx. The chemistry between them was sizzling. I loved their dynamic and the way their relationship developed. This story was a fast-paced journey with lots of suspense, tension, danger, and action. Shifter politics and shifters hidden from human society- something human Morgan didn't even know existed. I was hooked to the page and couldn't put it down. I also loved the supporting characters. This is the first story I've read by this author and I will definitely be reading more. 5 stars

Woah, this took a darker turn than I expected and the suspense was intense!

This one had me hooked from the start and the stakes were high - a shifter MC club, a ton of tension with the rival club, and with the alpha's human fated mate right in the middle of it. Morgan truly had no idea what he was getting into when he tried to join the Wild Wolves, and he went through a lot in the story. It was easy to feel for him, he was down on his luck and his decisions didn't exactly make it better.

Lynx was honestly not my favourite, he was heavily conflicted about having found his fated mate, and his hot and cold behaviour was frustrating. It was hard seeing him being indifferent about whether Morgan lived or died, knowing that they were fated mates and should feel protective and a bit possessive of each other. Things got better towards the end though, and I loved that Morgan stood up to him and called him out when he needed to.

Lynx was a really strong start to a new series, and I couldn't put it down once I got in to it! It was an action filled and intense story, with fighting rings and corruption making things take a dark turn. While it wasn't fully what I expected, it was a highly captivating read and I'm very excited to see more of this pack!

So much tension between Morgan and Lynx! Like, from the very first moment!! The setting of urban fantasy within an MC for this was really neat to me. It was new and I found it exciting. I really adored Morgan throughout. Sometimes I wanted to throw my Kindle at Lynx though. I mostly got over that by the last third of the book. Once the action started happening it felt like the pacing was pretty solid and the resolution worked well for what the overall story had set up. I really did like Morgan and Lynx as a couple though!

Some of the secondary characters and plot points seemed more relevant and stuck around better than others. Since it's a new book and first in a series that could be why, but I did still have a few questions or things left unanswered that I wouldn't have minded knowing.

A fun mm shifter biker gang romance. There’s A LOT going on in this one with the various dynamics and overarching plot, but it’s done well. The politics between the rival shifter packs but also including in hunters as somewhat of a law enforcement presence was unique and interesting! And of course, the romance at the beginning - instant lust and fated mates? sign me up always and forever! Lynx and Morgan are both fun to read alongside and root for. Morgan is BOLD and Lynx is such a simp for him - i was living for it. The book definitely picks up in the second half and becomes hard to put down and i was all in. Very excited to see where the series goes!

Read For
- dual POVs
- human/shifter
- paranormal romance
- found family
- fated mates
- strangers to lovers

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest review.

What a world Annabelle Jacobs has created! I was hooked from the first chapter on and read it all in one sitting except some family demanding food (how dare they). Not only the MCs, but also the side characters have great depth and are three dimensional characters. It’s all very well worked out and I will be snapping up the next book the moment it gets available.
About the plot in this book am I a little more reluctant to share since this is a type of story that you should just experience, not read a very thorough review of with or without spoilers. What you can expect is
- a paranormal hidden world,
- lots of action and steam,
- some bad guys you won’t like
- a deep complex plot,
- a lot of steam
- main characters and side characters you’ll absolutely love
