Ivory has been working diligently at her new job for six months, especially since she lives in the city where rent is expensive and people rotate in and out like a revolving door. She’s been stressed since the day she moved in, and the only thing that’s been keeping her semi-sane is the plethora of sensual dreams she’s been having. They’re so real, it’s almost as if someone’s in the room with her at night. Only there is someone, he just can’t be seen. Reslan has been haunting her apartment for decades now, and despite the number of tenants he’s seen come and go, Ivory’s caught his interest. And he doesn’t intend on letting go.
This wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but in a good way! (There were a few little typos towards the end, but overall the writing was very good!) - I assumed this would be a smutty short story, but although it had some spice, that was not the focal point. - Ivory finds herself communicating with a ghost from the 1920s. Reslan has been alone for so long, unable to touch or communicate. But Ivory changes everything. Their blossoming friendship goes awry though, when her childhood friend shows up and Reslan has a flare of rage that he can’t control. Ivory banishes him and then isn’t sure how to get him back. - This story was cute, beautiful, a little spicy in parts, and bittersweet. Imagine finding love after death…
