Sometimes freedom ain't just about walking free—it’s about choosing peace.
Fresh out the pen, Benzeno is back on the streets and doing his best to stay out the life that nearly killed him. But the streets don’t forget, and walking away from the game isn’t as easy as it sounds. Being with Sage? That’s the blessing he didn’t see coming—but loving her has almost cost him everything, including his life.
Sage is stuck between chasing her dreams and holding down the man she fell for. Life with Blu is anything but easy, and now she’s questioning if her loyalty is worth the price. Every choice pulls her further from her family and closer to a future she’s not sure she’s ready for.
Now, both Benzeno and Sage are at a breaking point.
Do they ride for love? Or walk away to save themselves?
Because sometimes, the hardest part isn’t choosing each other—it’s choosing peace without losing the dream.
Soooo how is it in chapter 14 Paris killed B-dot yet blu also kills him at the end of the book?? I’m confused. And what happened to sage being a nurse?
when we were first introduced to Sage she was a boss go getter on her ish. By book 2 she was a bum following up behind an ex con who clearly didn't want her
I took some months to finding out the conclusion of Blu and Sage’s story. I have a lot of questions especially with Paris (Hurt people Hurt people) I had to remember that I was not meant to know if Uncle Calvin was found somewhere dead in a ditch like a dog, What old behind octogenarian Sasha got to wife her? This was not that story and not name of title. I do have concerns about Blu not being able to stop himself from getting sensitive from seeing other chicks but I will give him some grace because Sage did, who am I to judge? Overall this book was short and sweet and I really enjoyed it Dang, I feel I missed out because being a former phone operator that got collected calls from people in prison trying to call peeps knowing they had a collect block, I should have gave chance instead making jokes. Hey, back then it was $50 for a 10 min call and that stuff added up. Sage, for someone that was real and basically untouched and he didn’t need to come with instructions and that was a plus.
I have definitely read better from the author. I didn't even finish reading it. I wanted Sage to boss up and really make Benzeno grovel. Also the beef between the sisters left me with a lot of questions. I tried to finish but I just didn't want to waste any more time.
I loved this second book. Sage claimed her man from the first encounter and went through all means necessary to keep him. I felt sorry for her sister Paris because she couldn't get her life together and was angry with her sisters when she should have been angry with her mom.
I had high hopes for Paris but I guess a lesson had to be taught. I’m glad that Blu and Sage made it thru cause it was looking rocky there for a min,Blu was dumb for putting himself in them darn predicaments. All in all I enjoyed the story
