Rounds: Love In Scrubs
Being a doctor is Glover Israel’s passion. He tends to his patients like they are his children and takes pride in providing excellent care. He doesn’t have a good reputation among hospital staff, because he requires the same level of service from them toward his patients as well. Having to financially take care of his paraplegic father leaves little time for much of anything outside of work. The only things he can seem to find time for are carnal pleasures. 3.5 ⭐️ I like the hospital romance theme

Short and spicy instant love. However, some of the writing was weird, especially in chapter 15. A room full of people and no indicator of who was talking. Also a continuity error with name pronunciation with each narrator. 🤦🏾♀️ That drives me crazy. The FMC never really learned how to be on her own without a man, but at the same time she was alone when she was in a whole relationship with a fuck boy. I read this for the spice and black love without any major traumatic events, so I got what I came for. HEAs for everybody!

Let me just put it out here in the first sentence. This series is going to be 🔥. I am officially two books in and anticipating the next book. Somehow, you ladies have managed to write about educated thugs. I can tell that Dr. Glover could change a man life if he stepped to his loved ones sideways. I am absolutely here for it all. I am fully invested in this medical series because I have been in healthcare for years.
I love how Dr. Glover can go from being free as a bird but in the same breath, ready to settle down. It truly takes finding your person to change your life. Dr. Glover and Destiny had a couple of exes who didn't know how to let go. Those exes were just stepping stones to their forever. They both learned what they didn't want in a partner. Dr. Glover fell quick and hard for Destiny. That poor donut he was eating didn't have a chance. They deserved each other because both needed to be properly loved. Dr. Glover had his plate full from his father's health, but he was determined to take care of him. His work ethic was top notched with all the rounds he did. Destiny gave him a small chase, and he was running right behind her. They got their happily ever after with both families in tow, that is what makes it worthwhile. Plus, Dr. Glover's father attitude changed about his will to live. It was a win-win situation for all parties involved.
Ladies and gents, this is the one and only Monica Walters. We know she doesn't disappoint and always execute the assignment. Therefore, grab your copy today.

Delaney was thriving in her career at the hospital. However, her personal life was taking a hit. She had an inkling that her boyfriend was stepping out but wasn't quite sure. She did know one thing, if he was cheating, she was gone! Well, her women's intuition was spot on, and while preparing her exit, she would enjoy some get back! 😜
Dr. Glover Israel was the best of the best. Although his temperament with the staff may not show as such, he cared deeply for his patients. Also, a ladies' man, who had a reputation that would make most sane women run the other way. When he bumps into Delaney, instantly feels her energy, making him want this woman and not understand why! No woman had ever made him feel the need to chase, so he knew this one was special.
Their coupling was fast, but you could feel the love brewing. Just a tad of drama, and a sweet love story. I loved Glover's dad. He was a riot. 🤣 Good read. 👍🏿👍🏿

Not Dr. Glover Israel out here being pegged as a serial humper, only to get taken out the game by overhearing a woman having a sweet convo with a patient. Whew...plot twist I didn’t see coming, but it made for a good time!
At first glance, it’s giving: heart of gold wrapped in a bed-hopping problem. But as you keep reading? You start to see Glover’s layers and maybe he’s not just the dude chasing a good time.
Enter Delaney Boutte', who has plenty going on already. She is not trying to be another one of Dr. Israel’s “rounds.” But when her live-in boyfriend starts moving funny (and then slips up), it’s like the universe said: “Let’s bump her right into something better.” And that Dr. Bump? Might just be exactly what she needed to launch her single-girl era.
I was cracking UP watching Mr. “I don’t want a relationship” go full “you’re mine now” after one encounter. Like sir… relax. 😅 But it wasn’t just Delaney’s body, though don’t get it twisted, that did not disappoint. It was her spirit that pulled him in. And he had no choice but to answer that call.

Leveling up in the best way
I love this story. When you meet the right person for you, everything that happened before them don't matter. Dr. Glover owned who he was and his past because he was working and living his single life, telling women upfront what it is. He tells the truth no matter what it looks or sounds like. And when him and Delaney literally bump into each other, his whole life changed, well theirs. She faced some heartache and heartbreak, but she beats her ex at his own game and then levels up in the best way for her. She was running from her future based on her current situation and how she was raised. But I'm so glad that she realized the downward spiral she was on before accepting help. I love Dr. Glover's relationship with his dad, who kept me laughing. Doc definitely gets it from his dad. LOL And his new life gave his father hope and something to live for. I didn't like Delaney's parents at first but I'm glad that they were able to repair their relationships. They went round and round but they finally got on the same level and was blessed more than they thought was possible. I enjoyed this story and definitely recommend.

I'm rating this book as a 4 only for 1 reason...The characters didn't give me the energy that the book was trying to portray them to have. It was almost like a false identity. I didn't know who I was getting. Monica wrote a damn good book so this was hard. I could tell that Dr. Isreal knew what he wanted and went after it. She didn't give as hard of a time as she tried. She gave in pretty easily if you ask me. Out of the entire book I fell in love with Gideon (Dad). He gave the book something that it was missing.

One thing I can say is that Gideon made this book definitely kept us laughing 😭… every bet he won and got what he asked for lol. Glover knew what he wanted and despite his reputation wasn’t going to stop until he got it. Once our girl got a taste she was not gon let up on that man lol. Glad that she was able to repair the relationship with her parents and they took accountability on their part.

(3.5⭐️) This was a cute and very fast moving love story. Glover was a self proclaimed man wh—e that didn’t want anything serious…until he found Ms. Delaney. And baby, when he found her, he refused to come up off her!! For me he came off just a little too strong for my liking considering she had just gotten out of a long term relationship & was nursing a broken heart but I guess their attraction was too strong. Despite that, I did like that he was clear in his intentions for her but was he was patient & understanding with her even though he had a very brief moment where his ego tried to take over. Aside from Delaney healing from her ex, and learning to not be so hyper independent, she also had some family stuff to address and it was nice to see that play out for her. I just wish that Glover was able to lay hands on Delaney’s ex. He got off too easy 🙄

Delaney didn’t make it easy for Glover, she had her heartbroken by her slimy ex but once they both fell it was nothing but pure bliss and love. Definitely recommend.

Magnificent!!!
This was one magnificent story,. I have one question and here it is:
What made Delaney after being gone for several days, go and tell this man that she went and slept with someone and it was better than what she had been getting from him?
She should've expected he couldn't handle it!! He didn't mind dishing it out though, just trifling!!
Mr. Denver would've been permanently dismissed right along with his delusional daughter.
As always, I enjoyed your magnificent storytelling.

Initially I want to say I wasn't feeling Glover. Then I realized he was handling life just like many of us handle life. He had a lot of things on his shoulders and he made no promises to anyone, so do you sir. Baby, when he got a hold of Delaney though...that woman was the key to his lock and he wasn't trying to ease up under any circumstances. This book was a conundrum in the sense it seemed like it was moving slowly but quickly at the same time. Mr. Israel was something else too. I'm glad he found a reason to want to keep going! Mr. Israel was too funny. He said I'm going to get me some food someway and some how. I'm glad that Glover knew that he wanted Delaney and wouldn't stop until she understood it. I'm so glad that Delaney finally got that she needed help. It's hard to ask, depend on others to help you in your time of need. This was a beautiful quick love story.

This was such a great read! I loved the imagine of MJW in “The Resident” as the MMC. Their love story kept me hooked from page one. I absolutely loved Gideon! He gave the book humor and wisdom.

This one really surprised me in the best way. Glover and Delaney gave drama, grown folks chemistry, and just enough mess to keep things interesting without ever feeling ridiculous. I loved how both of them came in with real life responsibilities and emotional baggage instead of fairy-tale clean slates. Glover being dedicated to his patients and his father while still trying to figure out how to be emotionally available felt so real. And Delaney…whew, that woman deserved someone who would choose her loud and clear, and watching her slowly let herself believe she could have that was so satisfying.
Their connection felt natural, even when it moved quickly. You could feel the pull, the pushback, the vulnerability creeping in, and then that moment when they finally stop fighting it. I also loved the theme of reputation versus reality. Glover being “that doctor” in the hospital and then turning around and loving Delaney with intention and care? Yeah, I ate that up.
Now let me be honest about the audiobook part, because it matters. The narrators did not always give the emotional depth that I felt this story needed. There were moments that felt a little flat because the passion and emotion just was not translating. I had to remind myself the writing was good and not let the performance dull the feeling of the story. Once I mentally separated the two, it was easier to appreciate how strong the romance actually was.
Overall, this was still a really good story with heart, healing, and a couple you actually root for. If the narration had matched the emotion on the page, this easily could have been a full 5 stars.

When a man knows what he wants and will stop at nothing to get it… You know you are in for a wild and sexy ride! Glover locked on to Delaney and it was all over. Monica Walters took us through the ups and downs of these two and my heart felt for both of them, because they battled so much just for a slice of happiness.
I will admit that I agreed with the title given to Glover at the beginning of this book because my man was for the streets. However, when he saw Delaney for the first time he was gone. Delaney was such a sweet character and even though she had a rough go of it she pushed through until she couldn’t, and guess who was there to catch her when she fell? You guessed it…Big Glover 😆 These two had chemistry from their first meeting and it was explosive; so explosive I found myself wondering when they had time to work because babbbby back shots were a daily requirement😏
This read was somewhat tame to others I’ve read by this author. Yes, we encountered the drama/bitter exes🙄 but they took a back seat to the love blooming, acceptance of one another, and Mr. Gideon Israel because that man is a whole fool. I would love to see more of him and his bets in the future. All in all, this is another five-star read because we all know Monica Walters never misses. This book is in a series collaboration with other great authors so I can’t wait to dive into the other books!

This book was so beautifully written and tugged at your heart strings!!!…There was so much to take away from this book and appreciate if you were given the love and affection from your parents!!!…
I was so happy that Delaney allowed Glover to help her and he had the where with all to spk to her in way that she was willing to trust & allow someone to help her!!!…I felt that tumble she took in that parking garage and sometimes a fall and good cry is what you need!!!…
I loved Glover’s father and was so happy that he found purpose while accepting that his son still loved him and didn’t blame him for having to take care of him!!!…
Jaunte’ irked my nerves!!!…He messed up his relationship and then had the nerve to be in his feelings and stalking Delaney as if she did him wrong!!!…
Charleigh was a walking thorn and I was glad her cover was blown because she was doing too much!!!…

Delaney and Glover's chemistry was amazing throughout this entire book. They both came into each other's lives when it was necessary. With Glover caring for his dad and struggling with dealing with his condition, and Delaney having to pick herself up after her ex made a fool of her. Their attraction to each other was to be just the physical but hearts want what they want. Glover was taken with Laney before he got a taste of her that only amplified it. I really loved that he was persistent in his pursuit of Laney and that it came from a genuine place. I understood why Delaney was so overly cautious as to not get hurt again, and that was causing her some turmoil, but I also loved that she finally accepted Glovers help and saw that if she continued to do what she was doing it was going to get worst. Gover'd dad was def much needed comedic relief, but I also loved that Delaney and Glovers happiness finally gave him a reason to want to keep living. THE 2 EXES CAN GO TO HELL😏. Laney parents finally trying to do better was good to see as well. I just really loved this book. The Chemistry was so raw and real, but i wouldn't expect less from Ms. Walters!!💜

Loved it! Dr Glover Israel went full throttle after Delaney. He was definitely intentional in his pursuit of her, which was not based single handedly on sex. She had the full package of substance needed to nourish a relationship.
Delaney once realizing that she was worth more than that no good ex put her through, had to get herself together before she had a full-blown mental breakdown. Once she got over her stubbornness to accepting help, she was able to move on to trusting her decisions in men. Eventually, opening her heart to real love.
Glover and Delaney's feelings and relationship moved quickly. When you know, you know.
I loved his dad, Gideon! I was so glad that his perspective on life took a positive change. I admired how Glover took care of his father, in spite of the financial setback it may have caused him. He didn't mind because his dad was the only living parent that he had.
Mr Gideon claimed Delaney early on in his meeting her as the one for his son. Together, both Glover and Delaney helped his dad enjoy & extend an improved quality of life weekly (outside of nursing facility) with his new extended family.

This book is the perfect unwind after a long day, a sweet and steamy insta-love story that proves sometimes the best medicine is desire especially when a fine doctor is involved.
Glover, whew, baby was GONE over Delaney who was trying to figure her next steps in life and was swooped off her feet. Glover flatlined and only she could resuscitate him. The moment he claimed that puddy, bruh was lost, done for and every other doctor-chasing hot box might as well have been wheeled straight to the hospital morgue, because they were D.E.A.D.
