Sometimes the most stupid plan is the smartest one...
The Late Goodbye (Final Book in the In Their Last Words series by Sebastian Wallace) Sebastian Wallace closes out the In Their Last Words trilogy with a gripping and imaginative finale. The writing is concise and sharp—never weighed down by unnecessary detail—and the story pulls the reader in from the start. This installment takes the dynamic team into the past, using the same daring technology that once brought “shells” of people back from the dead. The mission is both dangerous and fascinating: to repair the past in hopes of reshaping the future. It’s a bold, thought‑provoking conclusion that ties together the series beautifully. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this journey, and while I’m saddened to see it end, I’m convinced Wallace is an author worth watching. Here’s hoping he continues to write more stories that challenge and captivate us.
