This e-book contains three full-length novels: - Fire at Twilight - Fire at Dawn - Fire at Dusk
Fire at Twilight: Grace is a fixer. She's good at it, too—she’s all about health and healing. Tox Ellis, on the other hand, is the hazmat expert at the Darling Bay Fire Department. Why can't he seem to stay away from Grace, the woman who seems to think he needs fixing? Is Darling Bay ready for the chemical reaction Grace and Tox generate whenever they're in the same place at the same time? And who will be standing by to put out the flames?
Fire at Dawn: Lexie Tindall knows a few things about herself. She's a great fire dispatcher. She looks good in cowboy boots. And she'll never date a firefighter. Coin Keefe has been in love with Lexie since he first met her in dispatch when he was still a rookie firefighter. Now he realizes he can tell her everything except the truth—that he can't think about anyone else. When Lexie and Coin make a bet on love with a tropical island vacation as a reward, who will win big and who will lose everything?
Fire at Dusk: Samantha Rowe’s never scared of anything, even when she should be. Now she’s opening a martial arts classroom in tiny Darling Bay, helping women protect themselves from attack, she’s fearless in everything except love. The only thing she really needs is an attacker to help her train the students. Hank Coffee is way more used to putting on a fire helmet than a padded one, but when Samantha needs help with her new business, he’s willing to be kicked and hit in the name of helping someone stay safe. How will Samantha deal with this full-frontal assault on her heart? And will Hank find a way to make Sam follow the rules of the game?
Unofficial bio: Rachael eats way too many Cadbury Creme eggs, no matter time of year it is. She lives with a menagerie, and battles dog hair on a full-time basis. She's a Knitter with a capital-K, and she reads WAY more than she'd ever even think about exercising.
Official bio: Rachael Herron (RH Herron) is the internationally bestselling author of more than two dozen books, including thriller, mainstream fiction, feminist romance, memoir, and nonfiction about writing. She received her MFA in writing from Mills College, Oakland, and she teaches writing extension workshops at both UC Berkeley and Stanford. She is a proud member of the NaNoWriMo Writer’s Board. A cozy mystery.Usual twists and turns-nothing out of ordinary. had me out of a runt .firefighters and a fixer non allopathic healer fall in love.I fell in love with the characters and the book. A fast and cozy read
The Firefighters of Darling Bay is a clean, heartwarming series. Each couple has troubled pasts and or presents but it's through the love from their significant other and their families and friends that they find HEA. Readers can find at least one story they could relate to in some way. This isn't your billionaire stories or farfetched romances. These sweet stories will make you laugh, cry, and smile. You should definitely take a trip to Darling Bay.
This was a set I did not want to finish ! I hope there is to be more in this series. Each story brings together men who are personally damaged because of things that have happened in their pasts ,with the strong women who are there when they need them. I would like it if this Author would tell us about the Captain and maybe his wife if he has one ? I strongly recommend this boxed set.
This book hit home for me because my family were firefighters. It was so interesting because with me being a dispatcher at one time it really hit home. It was so interesting because it always covered one dispatcher and one firefighter and their one on one relationship. Anyone who enjoys a love, humor and family all rolled into one I would highly recommend this.
Four stories about firefighters and the women who bring them to their knees. Tox & Grace, Coin & Lexie, Hank & Samantha and Caz & Bonnie, four couples who weather the relationship storms of life. Their stories are filled with heartfelt feeling and closed door love scenes, which were the only thing that kept this from a full five star review. I truly enjoyed the storylines and loved each couple. Check this series out today!
I got to 51% of this book and had to stop. This is a boring book. I thought it was about firefighters and rescue people finding love. I would expect a least some of this book to actually include firefighting and rescues. In the first 2 books only about 2 paragraphs were about this. I will not be reading any more of this.
I read the box set which contained 4 books, which should really be considered 4 short stories. None of the stories were fully developed and were way too short. The best story was the third book. I usually read a lot of sci-fi but I throw some romance in between just to give a "palate cleanser", this was something to pass the time.
Fabulous series. Every book held a romance, funny stories about the firemen and the challenges they face every day. It is amazing what our firemen do. We assume fires are their only job and saving people. However these stories show a different side of these men and women. A human side. Great read.
I enjoyed this series. It was nice not to have all the play by play sex stuff, which left all the sweet romantic stuff. There were quite of few words I was not familiar with and upon looking them up they seemed to be from British culture. The series could use a better job with the editing.
I love to snuggle down with a sweet story before sleep. This was a quick read with believable characters I wanted to befriend. Left me with good thoughts and then sweet dreams. Rachael Herron weaves a rich story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this set of 4 books. Each story was amazing in how the couple in each book discovered each other and how they came about falling in love of a lifetime. Each couple were different but the outcome was true love. 💘
This book bored me on so many levels. I only finished the first book in the box set, the story of grace and Tox and I couldn't wait to finish it. Both characters were complete downers.....Well, till the last page anyways...Sorry!
I enjoyed all of these. I liked the realistic portrayals of issues such as Alzheimer’s and addiction. I liked that the roads to love weren’t easy. I liked the feel of the town.
I only read the first book. It felt like everyone was a teenager, not in their early 30’s. And so many areas in the book I had to re-read because there were words missing, too many words used or wrong words. It was confusing
These books are full action, excitement and romance.
The characters are well-drawn and authentic and the stories are intriguing. Even though the main characters were all firefighters, each one is unique with his own story.
Hot indeed. These fire fighters know what hot is. And it's definitely not in the just the kitchen. They prove just what they are willing to do . To get the girl.
4 stories about HOT firemen and the women who grow to love them... Darling Bay may be a fictional town but there's never a dull moment for these men and women in uniform.
Every book in this series is good. Having already read the first two, I was ready for the next. So when this came our, I didn't resist. This author is awesome.
Great entertaining stories that are easy to read. Full of great characters, a great town and a good community within the fire brigade and emergency services.
This purchase contained 4 books in the Darling Bay series. One character in each of the stories is an emergency responders, but they are significantly different in character - making each of their stories unique. There were a few noticeable typos which were a bit distracting (Daring v Darling, among other things), but the stories themselves are cute, the characters are adorable, and Herron's style is fun and wonderfully descriptive. Definitely worth the read.
This was a good set of four books about firefighters be hot romantic stories of them finding their loved ones. Has drama and a little bit of action thrown in along too.
