In The Lights, journalist Lena Grayson arrives in Marfa, Texas to debunk the famed Marfa Lights, but her investigation quickly spirals into a chilling confrontation with the unknown. Guided by the reserved and haunted Jesse Morales, Lena begins to experience strange visions, uncover forgotten histories, and confront eerie disappearances linked to the lights. Her skepticism fades as supernatural elements surface—lights that move with intent, cries in the desert, and a growing suspicion that her own past is entangled in the mystery. The desert seems alive, ancient, and watching. With Jesse’s help and an encounter with a reclusive old man who may hold the key, Lena must choose between the truth and her sanity in a place where reality itself bends to forces far older than time.
3.5 ⭐️ rounded to 4. Overall this was a cool story. I would have enjoyed more character development throughout, and a little more discussion about the lore of the lights leading up to arriving and starting the investigation to build the suspense. To sum up, little shaky on the execution, but I enjoyed this one. Very interesting idea.
