This one had a bit of a slower start much like the last one for me. Maybe it was because I was getting tired of this world or I just wasn't as interested in the Morgan/Prudence story as the rest of them, but once the concentration went more to Emily and Robert Chandler, I started getting through the book faster. Although unrelatable in respect to dealing with war or death or having to heal past losing someone who means so much, I enjoyed their story and how they were able to find the good and heal to come together and find happiness again.
This love stories in the book were all very sweet. It’s been wonderful reading a Christian series full of characters with honest internal struggles that are not always perfect either. The mercy and love of God are so evident throughout this series.
