This is the final book in Jade Eby's "Back to Bad" Series. Once again things pick up right where book four left off. After Lacey lost what she values most in life she begins to fall apart.

"What happened to me? I went from having everything to having... nothing. I went from knowing exactly what to do in a situation to not even knowing where I'm at. The girl staring back at me is not Lacey Caldez. She is a shell of a woman I don't know. A broken, defeated girl without a future. All the parts of me that used to be calm, collected, organized have withered away. I don't know who I am anymore. I don't know how to be the strong."
Lacey still has Jose and together they go into hiding while Jose forms a plan to keep the Feds off their tail and from both of them ending up in Jail.
"What exactly are you thinking?" he asks. "How would you feel about robbing Grad Banka?" I can see the temptation bubbling in his eyes already."
I have to admit as bad as Lacey was I loved her character, especially her confidence and witty and crazy remarks. The whole series was engaging, fast paced with an excellent plot. I was fascinated by Jade Eby's writing and ability to keep me turning pages along with packing so much action into such a short book. In the end Lacey came through as I hoped she would. I highly recommend this series especially if you enjoy fast action packed books!!
4/4.5 stars I loved every scene, every kill, every bitchy remark, and every book in general but that ending (not the final ending, the ending before the ending...if that makes sense) made me want to throw my kindle at the wall. What happened to him?!?! I'm still thinking about it!
Lacey is NOT a girl you want to mess with but with the events in Audacious, you know she has cracked. Become broken. With the police looking for her and Jose, they have to make a plan and follow through with it or they'll end up in jail. Or dead. Jose takes care of loose ends while Lacey tries to heal. She's become lost and you don't know if she'll ever come back. There are some wtf moments that will leave you O.O too.
If you enjoyed the other books in this serial then I highly recommend picking this up! If you haven't read the series then you must. Lacey's story is one that I really enjoyed and I'm sad it's over.
I was getting concerned about Lacey after finishing "Audacious." I thought that Lacey was losing her bite as she sunk deeper and deeper into a life of crime. Thankfully, the things I love most about Lacey—her takes-no-guff-attitude and her willingness to take "justice" in her own hands—make a brilliant return in the final tumultuous installment of the Back to Bad series. "Tenacious" by Jade Eby receives a thumbs up for bringing Lacey back "home" and back to her "senses."
Great ending to this serial!! I do want more of Lacey though. I am greedy like that but it this last book summed everything up perfectly! Great job Jade!
