What a collection! I was very curious about the tales Killian would come up with in this volume as he's such an experienced horror movie buff. I wasn't disappointed. From the first story "The Day Before Halloween" until the last of the 13, "End of the Night" I enjoyed them all. Hard to tell what favorite to pick. "Creeping Jesus" was a slap in the face of resurrection. "Video Projects" was extremely scary, "Room is Perfect" outstanding, "The Gravedigger" pure horror... every single story here reads like a movie, like an urban legend. No wonder with the author's background. There was only one UFO tale too many otherwise a brilliant and haunting collection. The proper collection not only before Halloween but for every occasion. The way this author recombines so many well known motifs is staggering. All Thumbs up. Scary read and highly recommended!
